Weltweite Bewegung und starke lokale Präsenz - die vernetzte Struktur des Roten Kreuzes ermöglicht die Vielfalt des internationalen, regionalen und lokalen Engagements:

Der Landesverband Tirol ist Mitglied des Österreichischen Roten Kreuzes und vereinigt als Dachverband alle 11 im Bundesland Tirol mit eigener Rechtspersönlichkeit ausgestatteten Bezirksstellen. Diesen gehören wiederum 45 Tiroler Rotkreuz-Ortsstellen an.

Das gesamte Rote Kreuz arbeitet gemeinnützig und ist nicht auf Gewinn gerichtet.

Die Tätigkeiten des Landesverbandes sind vielfältig: Er ist zwar nicht unmittelbar im Rettungs- und Krankentransport im Einsatz, - das obliegt den Bezirksstellen - doch er betreibt z. B. das Notarztsystem Mitte.

Weiters führt der Landesverband das Blutspendewesen, ist für die Einrückungen der Zivildiener verantwortlich, bildet diese und viele weitere interne Mitarbeiter und Mitarbeiterinnen in der RK-Akademie aus und führt noch dazu das integrative Kindertageszentrum "Seifenblase".

Mit der Microtraining App macht das lernen Spaß. Besonders hilfreich ist die erste Hilfe App, wenn zuvor auch ein erste Hilfe Kurs besucht wurde. Wenn entsprechende Kenntnisse da sind, kann man aber auch wunderbar nur mit der App sein Wissen auffrischen. Für jeden der im Falle eines Unfalls, nicht völlig ratlos da stehen will, ist diese App eine seht gute Hilfe
