## What is esc?

If software limits actually worked, you wouldn’t be here.

Screen-time apps fail because clicking "ignore limit" takes zero effort. Hitting snooze takes a millisecond. esc works by replacing willpower with a physical key.

HOW IT WORKS

1. The Distraction Shield
Select the apps that drain your time. Once a focus session starts, they are locked natively at the system level. No software shortcuts. To open them, you must physically walk over and tap your phone against your esc. puck.

2. The Un-snoozable Alarm
Stop waking up to a doomscroll session. When your alarm sounds, as much as you try to snooze it, you won't be able to. The only way to silence it is to physically leave your bed, walk to wherever your puck is mounted (your bathroom mirror, fridge, or desk), and scan it.
