The combination of the progress path and AI summary is particularly motivating.

This is the only app I found that offers a free tool to break free from the chains of porn! No trial. No bait and switch. No BS. Just freedom. You can track your progress and actively block sites that can cause you to stumble. If you’re serious about getting free from porn and don’t want to pay some crazy price for a subscription then this is all you need!

The premium side covers our deeper recovery tools - guided courses, breathing exercises, practice games, browser-level blocking across Chrome and other apps, daily check-ins, and progress tracking. Building and maintaining these costs real money (Apple fees, design, development tools), and we're a small independent team trying to build the best recovery tool out there.

From what I’ve tested, you can still go to safari and look at the images tab with no restrictions, and it’s not even effecting browsers like opera GX

**Developer response:** Opera is blocking in our own testing. The free blocker covers Safari. To block every browser, including Opera GX, make sure Deep Block is turned on in the app.

On privacy, the only way to catch every possible workaround would be to route traffic through our servers, which would mean we could see everything users browse. We are not willing to do that. A lot of people use Escape specifically because everything stays on device, with no account and nothing tied to them.

I feel as though there is no pressure to “do” something to change myself but can just let change occur. I don’t know how this will go, but I can tell the makers of the app are actually trying to help people help themselves. If you are still reading this then you’re still trying, don’t worry about messing up and just try to be better.

I’ve used other adult content blocking apps, and this one excels my expectations. What I really like about this app is that web browsers can be blocked and that really helped me in my journey to recovery. It also includes many helpful resources that help you understand why the addiction is happening and what you can do to escape it. Also Sam has been really helpful when I encountered some bugs in the app. If you’re serious about recovery I recommend you give Escape a try. It’s well worth its subscription price and it has many tools that help you in your recovery journey.

It’s not some dumb “pay us 39$” for little protection, the maker of this app genuinely care about its user

I struggled for a good while, but I think the feature of just being able to say “I relapsed” starting again, right there is such a huge thing. It’s not even funny. Their support team is also wonderful, I sent them a block suggestion and they got back to me almost immediately. I thought you were to pay for it and reading other reviews. It says you don’t have to but I paid for it anyways and I don’t regret it because it is worth it.

**Developer response:** Thanks for taking the time to write this out. The “I relapsed” restart flow was one of the harder design calls. A lot of blockers punish you for slipping, and that felt wrong to us. 

Also want to thank you for the block suggestions you sent in. Those have already been implemented and are live for everyone now. Feedback like yours is genuinely how the app gets better.
