Very smooth animations, great performance, good customization options. Just great. It has room to improve when it comes to accessibility, though. I found that it took a while to learn all the features and master how to use it, but that it easily fixable. ### 5/5 — Best I’ve used *2020-03-25, version 2.0.1* I’ve tried out several different mind-mapping apps. Most of them were fine, but I’d quickly hit the paywall that makes a “free” app essentially unusable without paying for the “optional” upgrade. I’ve really liked using Escape though. It’s done everything I need it to efficiently and simply. There is (at time of writing) an optional “premium” in-app purchase, but it actually feels like it’s optional. Deleting unwanted levels is hard. The map does not respond well to touch. In frustration, I deleted this app and started using MiMind. **Developer response:** For deleting a topic, and its subtopics, double tap the topic and choose delete option from the context menu that shows up. Y yo creo que por diez euros la app ofrece valor más que de sobra. Además ante cualquier problema, duda o sugerencia el desarrollador siempre responde rápida y atentamente. App super recomendable, además de que os animo a comprar un año de Pro para por lo menos tener esas características desbloqueadas para siempre. Awesome mind-mapping app that despite being subscription based, you actually keep everything unlocked to that point forever if you purchase a year subscription. ### 5/5 — Simple, Intuitive & Powerful *2025-05-13, version 2.5.3* Having explored a variety of Mind Map solutions across different operating systems, Escape has instantly made an impact for me. The app is designed with the ability to utilise it as a personal organisational tool, creating lists for the home or jotting down hobby ideas, all the way up to a professional project tool with task and completion percentage. The app is lightweight and a breeze to run on iPadOS, while also providing a great export ability and even being able to create new mindmaps from clipboard.
