I can’t even get to level 2

Was really enjoying this until the 'correct order only' puzzle. Only one sequence works, but you don't get anything once 8 number code is showing.  I spent ages watching crap videos to get the second set of clues - which clearly show that you should get 4 digit code. Tried the code just about readable from the hint but it didn't do anything. Very frustrating.
