Expedition is for the people who run expeditions: leaders, supervisors andbvassessors who need to know where their teams are, what they are carrying, and how they are doing. EVERY TEAM ON ONE MAP See your teams' planned routes and their live positions on detailed mapping from around the world. Load a route from a GPX file and its checkpoints appear where they belong. Download the area before you go and the map still works with no signal at all. LIVE TRACKING FROM THE TRACKERS YOU ALREADY USE Connect a Garmin inReach through its MapShare feed, or your own Traccar server. Positions come in on their own, and the map shows how long ago each one arrived so you always know how fresh it is. LOOK BACK AT ANY DAY Pick a past day and the map replays it: the routes that were actually walked, and where each team was last seen. It is clear at a glance which positions are live and which are history. CHECK-INS THAT EVERYONE CAN SEE Record a check-in with the time, the place and a note. In a shared event your check-ins go to everyone else running it, with your name on them, so the whole team knows what has happened without anybody having to ring round. KIT CHECKLISTS Set the kit list for the event once. Count it off against each team, and see what everyone else has counted. ASSESSMENT THAT STAYS YOURS Score members against the skills that matter, add photos as you go, and finish with a report you can file. Your assessments are private to your device and are never uploaded — not to us, and not to anyone else in the event. A REPORT WORTH FILING Produce a PDF for a team covering the whole expedition: who was in it, where they went day by day with a map of each day, how far they walked and for how long, every check-in, and the full assessment. Preview it, then share it or save it. SHARE AN EVENT WITH YOUR TEAM Invite the other supervisors with a QR code or a link. They get the event's setup, its routes and its teams, and everybody's check-ins and kit counts stay in step. Only the organiser can change the setup, so nobody can pull it apart by accident. Everything shared is encrypted on your device before it leaves it. Our server relays it without being able to read it — the key never reaches us. It only travels in the invite you hand to someone. IN THE CAR Expedition works on CarPlay with positions, and directions to any team in a tap. WEATHER The forecast for the event, for each day, so you can see what is coming. WHAT IT COSTS Organising is what you subscribe for: creating and running your own events. Being invited to an event by someone else is free — if you have been handed an event, the whole app works and there is nothing to buy. Expedition Annual auto-renews at the displayed price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it renews. A free trial is available to new subscribers. Easy event setup wizard. ### 3.0 — 2026-08-24 SHARED CHECK-INS Check-ins now sync to everyone in a shared event, with the author's name on them, and appear on the map as well as in the event. Kit counts sync too. Only the person who recorded a check-in can change or delete it, and only new check-ins are shared — anything already on your device stays there. THE CAR SCREEN Expedition works on CarPlay with positions, and directions to any team in a tap. REPLAY A PAST DAY Pick a day that is not today and the map shows where each team was last seen, drawn so you can tell it apart from a live position at a glance. A REWRITTEN REPORT The expedition PDF now opens with a summary page, gives each day its own page and map, and adds up distance and moving time. Preview it before you share or save it.
