## Newest reviews (17 of 100)

### 2/5 — This is the lousiest mag app I own

*2017-04-29, version 3.3*

For the IPad, each time a new issue comes out, I can't access it without a big hassle - like it doesn't recognize that I have a subscription. I don't have an issue with any of my other emags. Really frustrating.

### 1/5 — Can't open anymore

*2016-10-25, version 3.3*

All it does is crash.

### 1/5 — After updating to iOS 10, app is unusable

*2016-09-21, version 3.3*

The app was ok before iOS 10, but now it just says "Failed to Load Issues".

### 1/5 — Useless app

*2016-09-14, version 3.1*

I dowmloaded this app because i paid for the subscription to be an espn insider and the app does not work

### 1/5 — Buy the print version

*2016-08-30, version 3.1*

I paid for the 2016 College Football preview edition. I downloaded on both my iPad and iPhone, but I can't access the issue on either. Your money is better spent on the print version. At least you get something in return for your money. I should have read the other reviews before buying anything.

### 1/5 — terrible

*2016-08-25, version 3.1*

not worth it.

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2016-08-18, version 3.1*

I downloaded this app because I subscribed to the magazine and I was supposed to have free access to the digital magazine. Well I downloaded the app and cannot download any of the magazines it's probably the worst app I've ever used a middle school kid for a project could do better than this it's pathetic. When I click download It spins for a second and then nothing.

### 1/5 — Truly awful

*2016-08-18, version 3.1*

Truly awful app. I paid for a subscription through ESPN Insider yet when I sign into the app it still wants to charge me for issues.

### 1/5 — Seriously?

*2016-08-17, version 3.1*

Excellent company, inexplicably poor app.

### 1/5 — Can't login!

*2016-08-14, version 3.1*

Espn needs to fix this App! It is not right and no support!!

### 1/5 — This is the worse app in the world !

*2016-07-24, version 3.1*

Can't find any app experience bad then this!

### 1/5 — Confusing

*2016-06-26, version 3.0*

This app makes me sign in with an old email address associated with my ESPN account. It was working fine until it was asking me to subscribe to it. I can view it on the web just fine and my subscription is in good standing which I confirmed with ESPN support. They suggested I try logging in with my current email. I try it and do a password reset but I get no reset email

### 1/5 — Stay Away!

*2016-05-30, version 3.0*

This app doesn't recognize that you have an existing ESPN Insider subscription, it only lets you purchase a new one. Totally useless app. If I could rate negative stars I would have

### 1/5 — Won't pull up articles

*2016-05-23, version 3.0*

The app will let me download my magazines. When I view them it will load the ads but never the articles.

### 1/5 — Unimpressed

*2016-05-08, version 3.0*

Silly me. I downloaded this with the expectation that I would be able to view issues digitally since I'm already a print subscriber. You know...kinda like other mags that are available both digitally and in print form. Hmm...guess that's not the case. I have yet to find a way to create the requisite account from within this app to do what I want to do. I don't think it's asking too much to accommodate that simple process.

### 1/5 — Completely fudging useless

*2016-02-19, version 3.0*

Can't download issues even with an active subscription.

### 2/5 — Not happy

*2016-02-14*

Seems to be very buggy. On a regular basis I have to uninstall and reinstall to get it to update issues. Have had to subscribe twice in the same period to be able to access new issues. Whilst the subscription is cheap In comparison with others it is frustrating to use this app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — New app unusable

*2019-05-31*

Not recognizing I own previous issues

### 1/5 — Take away the Insider

*2019-02-05*

The app itself has gotten better over the years.
It is more stable, more intuitive and easier to explore now.
Only, they deprived the rights to the "Insider" contents now with the magazine subscription without proper notifications and reshuffled and introduced their new "espn+" membership where they charge 5+ dollars a month. So, all of sudden, I cannot access to all the Insider materials since late last year. Well, personally, the Insider access was one of the main reasons I suscribed to the magazine in the first place. So, be noted that their website's exclusive contents are now off-limits which wasn't the case for many years.
Seriously thinking about ending subscription on next renewal, since it seems like there're more useful contents on the espn+ than the magazine these days.

### 1/5 — Trash

*2018-12-16, version 4.2*

Won’t allow me to login with my Apple ID to connect my Espn subscription.

### 1/5 — FRAUD ALERT!!!!!

*2017-09-13, version 3.3*

Just cancelled my ESPN Insider account because of Jemele Hill's racist comments about white people.
*** Side Note: Funny how when you try and cancel you are not given an option of explaining why you are cancelling.***

### 1/5 — Amazing

*2017-09-08, version 3.3*

It's amazing these nitwits are still in business. I paid for new subscription. Have the app on my IPad. Don't get the new issues . No one to talk to or report the problem.

### 1/5 — The worst

*2017-05-29, version 3.3*

Crashes frequently. Always asks me if I was to restore previous purchases (not sure what that even means). Doesn't save bookmarks or last read articles. I would expect more.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2017-05-22, version 3.3*

Doesn't allow me to read my magazine online unless I want to pay $3.99 an issue when I've already subscribed? Just another reason ESPN is losing viewers and subscribers!!

### 1/5 — ESPN mag app

*2017-02-05, version 3.3*

Horrible can't link my subscription from print to app. Always crashing

### 1/5 — Shocking Support

*2017-02-04*

I was so pleased when my daughter purchased this app as a Xmas present. The NFL season was approaching the Super Bowl and I now had a subscription to my favourite magazine.

WRONG apart from one free copy I got nothing. Following advice from the team at Apple I contacted the app developers who have no idea on how to support a customer. Cut and pasted generic replies that did not reference the problem. Sending me to the main espn website or suggesting I call espn in the USA. Great job Zinio!!!! Not.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2016-11-01, version 3.3*

This has been the worst experience I have ever been through. It tells me I my email or password is incorrect but I am still able to sign on through the website. Strongly considering completely canceling subscription

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Please update app

*2016-07-20, version 3.1*

App not crashing. But still can't look at issues I've purchased. Update needed again

### 5/5 — Great mobile app!

*2016-07-13, version 3.1*

Easy to access and download each issue.

### 5/5 — Great to have on flights

*2016-02-29, version 3.0*

Excellent app!!

### 5/5 — Official ESPN magazine app - great product

*2016-02-08*

Just seen review by 'cosette15', who must work for the competition and I felt compelled to write this. I have been using this app for over 1 year now. I am an ESPN insider and use my official ESPN account to access the magazine as this is the official ESPN app. Once I understood how to login to my insider account (see About/Customer Support) it been great.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2016-01-08, version 3.0*

It's an amazing app

### 5/5 — ESPN the Mag

*2015-12-24, version 3.0*

Great articles love the huge in your face mag. The written pieces are some the best in sport

### 5/5 — Great

*2015-12-08, version 3.0*

Great mag

### 5/5 — Great app

*2015-11-17, version 3.0*

I love ESPN and the app is just great I can get old editions plus my new ones on the go

### 5/5 — Read the FAQ

*2015-10-23*

If you have an active subscription/ESPN insiders, ESPN sent you an email, back in June with your logins for this app. So all the complainers on here if you just read the faq you would know that instead of complaining that you are being "ripped off." Just follow the instructions in the email

### 5/5 — Read the email, everyone

*2015-07-29*

I don't rate apps very often, but ESPN deserves some slack here. If you are a Subscriber to Insider, (and currently receive the mag through mail,) you DO get this for free.

They supply a NEW PASSWORD for the digital version. It probably has something to do with Apple News Stand and in-app purchase policies. Works fine and looks great. Follow instructions, people.
