## What is ESPproMon?

The ESPproMon smartphone app is a bridge between the popular ESP iOT development boards and several off the shelf energy monitoring systems.

Monitor your ongoing electricity costs and remotely control your home appliances with the app, and a few low cost additions to your development board.

Thoroughly tested with the PeaceFair Pzem hardware and even the current only ACS712 sensors from Allegro MicroSystems.

Modified firmware for the Open Energy Monitor hardware can be downloaded from our GitHub page at https://github.com/pieman64/ESPproMon.

Advanced features include:

Clear user interface designed with the popular Blynk GUI
Automatic location based appliance control
Easily update cost bands and rates in the app, or via a web browser
Embedded video feeds for property surveillance

This app requires an ESP flashed with our bespoke firmware. Please don't post negative reviews if you don't have the required hardware to use the app.

### 1/5 — Uncooked, buggy tech

Good idea, but their code is poorly executed and the support from the developers is useless. Even sending them a short example code that demonstrated  their library issues was ignored.

I’ve worked in ISV support in the past and realize that no code is perfect.  What makes middle service successful is the support and it’s utterly lacking here.
