### 2/5 — Still flawed after all these years

*2025-07-15*

Mystified why ESRI *still* won’t let you add a session to your device’s calendar instead of inside the app. The app still enforces a 1 event per time block rule which is absurd. Any seasoned attendee will know that you always need to identify a preferred presentation and a couple backups because your preferred session may be a
bust or packed like a sardine can. id rather manage my time within my device’s calendar app rather than the Events app.

### 2/5 — Last of filters

*2023-07-12*

The my schedule page needs filters for “Added to my Schedule” and “Favorites” Because there is no filter I started removing all my favorites so they wouldn’t clutter my schedule, but I regretted doing that yesterday when one of the classes was over booked and the audio was not working in the over flow, that in itself was a big fail for ESRI but it was compounded by the lack of filter. If there was a filter I wouldn’t have deleted my favorites and I could have quickly pivoted and gone to another class on my list.

### 3/5 — Disappointing

*2023-07-08*

Slightly buggy and lacks intelligence. Would be nice if the app could recognize that you have conflicts and automatically search for alternate offerings and prompt you to schedule.

### 3/5 — Can’t schedule 2 concurrent sessions

*2023-07-08, version 14.0.0*

It’s not possible to add simultaneous sessions to the schedule. That functionality helped me to understand which session I would choose and prioritize

### 4/5 — Nice app

*2022-03-06, version 9.0.0*

Only complaint would be that I couldn’t find a way to export my sessions to my calendar.

### 4/5 — Great conference tool

*2019-07-11*

This is great. Can you add a way for stylus input in notes? The ability add or access photos into notes for further commenting would be nice too.
Also push notifications for selected workshops will be useful.

### 4/5 — Needs a keyword search

*2019-07-10, version 6.0*

Nice app but there should be a way to search by subject content to find classes and demos, not just by title.

### 4/5 — Schedule filter by time

*2019-07-10, version 6.0*

Great app, would be nice to be able to filter events in schedule by time.

### 3/5 — Getting better, still frustrating

*2019-07-10*

Lots of improvements over the years, including search capabilities and conference center maps. Still... crashes frequently. Keeps logging me out. It doesn’t matter how many times I log in, it just kicks me out.

### 4/5 — Nice app

*2019-07-09, version 6.0*

Works perfect, and logicalneasy to use layout. Only glitch I encountered was the map for the restaurant with discounts, did not work well at all on iphone.

### 3/5 — App Crashes - Notes Not Saved

*2019-07-09, version 6.0*

Useful, easy to use app. It crashed twice on me so far and I lost the notes I was taking in it. Won’t use the Note functionality any more...

### 3/5 — Category Filter?

*2019-07-06, version 6.0*

Maybe I missed it but would be nice to have a filter by category or track to quickly plan a schedule. There are many sessions and hard to pick from. Or AI virtual assistant or survey to help guide me.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Eh. Always one step forward, two steps backwards

*2024-07-16*

The app will not add a session to your phone’s calendar (this has been a feature in previous years). Within the app, you cannot add multiple sessions occurring at the same time block- only one session is allowed.

We all know that sometimes sessions don’t end up being what you thought they would be so you want to be prepared to quickly bolt to an alternate or second alternate session. That’s why you would want the ability to save multiple things occurring at the same time.

I’d also like to be able to use the app and access the schedule without the requirement of logging into my UC account. It keeps logging me out and if I didn’t have it written down with me, I wouldn’t be able to log back in.

### 1/5 — No content

*2024-06-14*

All I can see is the Esri logo and it tells me “no public events are available”. There is nowhere for me to sign in or do anything.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2023-12-01*

There is no place to login. There are some past events listed but my future event is not listed when I search. The only 2 functions are “past events” and a search for “recently viewed,” which is empty. I have been working on my schedule online. My event is in less than 2 weeks.

### 1/5 — Cannot login for ESRI UC 2023 on app

*2023-07-11, version 14.0.0*

On cell or iPad

### 1/5 — Unable to log in

*2023-07-07, version 14.0.0*

I can’t even log in so the app isn’t useful.

### 1/5 — Cannot log in so not useful

*2023-07-01, version 14.0.0*

I love the concept but there seems to be an issue login in so it defeats the concept. Emailed Esri about it and haven’t heard back.

### 1/5 — Constantly crashes on iOS, needs calendar view

*2019-07-08, version 6.0*

Freezes on iOS requiring a complete restart of mobile device (iPhone and iPad Pro). App will it close unless device is turned off and back on. Surely needs a calendar view.

### 1/5 — Not clear

*2019-07-06, version 6.0*

The categories are not clear. There is no category for pre conferee. Also it’s not clear what kind of users can attend what kind of session.

### 1/5 — Printed is better.

*2018-07-09, version 5.3*

Out of sight out of mind marks my opinion of this app. I’m either burning battery to use it or I’ve tucked it away. The small printed schedule is better for my personal preferences. This one is as good as they come but I prefer a hard copy I can hold and handle to an app like this.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t display anything...

*2018-02-17*

Can’t see anything except the ESRI logo

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — It didn’t work - and others had the same issue

*2023-10-12*

The app would not take my ArcGIS login credentials. Made it really difficult to connect with all my customers that were in attendance.

### 5/5 — Nice addition of indoors

*2023-07-19*

Still one of the best conference apps I’ve ever seen. Nice addition using Indoors recently. That was very help. A few notes is that it’s be nice to be able to add overlapping sessions to my schedule. It’d also be useful to have rooms searchable in the map. I love the feature that I can see what other times a session is being offered. That’s been extremely helpful.

### 5/5 — Works well (in 2023)

*2023-07-11*

The session scheduling works well. Very handy for favouriting which sessions to watch later.

For a useful app, that had only 2 written reviews in 9 years, I wanted to flag how good it is!

As a digital ‘attendee’, I can’t comment on the map side of this app.

### 5/5 — Improved and helpful

*2023-03-06*

Love having the agenda, schedule and details about the sessions on my cell.
The speaker bios are very helpful. Glad you included that and hope more speakers will include their bios.

### 5/5 — Truly useful tool

*2022-03-04*

The current version is superb: easy to find and to mark sessions to attend. Sessions are presented as a continuous scroll with day-of-the-week shortcuts into this list.

I especially like the new (to me, at least) feature to let you know about any sessions available between ones that you’ve saved.

I’ve used this app yearly since it first came out, but in a half-hearted way. This year, however, I’ll be using it all the time.

### 5/5 — Perfect app for conferences

*2020-02-25*

This app is great, allowing you to use your device for your schedule, take notes, and send the back to your office. Everything in one place makes it so convenient.

### 5/5 — Favorite events app

*2020-01-31*

This app is easy to use and navigate. It’s quick and responsive and I love the ability to take notes and email them to yourself.

### 5/5 — Great App,

*2019-07-21*

Loved how I could type in my Conference notes into my tablet and then email the notes to my work address. This made things really easy to submit to my employer information regarding what I had learned and verify the sessions I had attended. The map of the conference area really helped me to locate where the sessions were... important on the first couple of days. Synopsis of each session were included. And if I wanted to look up sessions by the speakers, this too was possible. One suggestion: A calendar-formatted listing of date/time would have been nice to help me organize which sessions I had preselected as my initial favorites.

### 5/5 — Loved the App

*2019-07-15*

I really loved using this App and I especially found the Notes feature for each session very useful. What would make it even better is if in the Notes feature we could add images to go along with the notes

### 5/5 — Filter Menu

*2019-07-10, version 6.0*

Love the app! Lots of nice improvements.
