## What is Essay.ink?

The first divergence of the AI era may occur between those who write and those who do not, as the rise of generative AI means that writing skills will no longer be a universal requirement but rather a choice. Differences in writing ability will further lead to differences in thinking ability, because writing is a way to promote deep thinking.

Essay aims to make textual expression a habit, and at the crossroads of the times, we seek to reclaim the meaning of writing with you.

Here, there are no likes, follows, topic orientations, or length preferences. What we are building is a purely textual space that seeks no social recognition.

1. Added a Currently Reading section to showcase books you’re reading.
2. Refined several interaction details. For example, the Collapse action for long content is now provided as a floating button for easier access.
3. Improved the performance of exporting articles as images. Long content is now automatically truncated during export to ensure higher success rates and better reliability.

1. Added Shortwave Channels:
We’ve organized content into several thematic channels based on recurring questions and situations people often encounter. When diverse perspectives converge on the same underlying idea, they can resonate—like waves.

The interface and overall interaction experience have been refined, with better performance on iOS 26.
3. Fixed minor bugs.
