### 1/5 — Very limited

*2019-12-14, version 2.8.3.1*

Very limited capability and doesn't work at all with iOS 13

### 2/5 — Where is the notes applet for this app?

*2018-05-28, version 2.8.3.1*

I fail to understand how the Android version has the notes applet included but not the IOS version.
All my notes created in my PC Windows version can be backed up to my Android phone but not my Ipads. What is going on? Notes is a key feature of this app and it is completely missing in this IOS app.
Very strange and disappointing.

### 2/5 — Bugs

*2018-04-12, version 2.8.3.1*

Lots of bugs on the apl

### 2/5 — EssentialPim

*2016-01-29, version 2.7.12*

Until it is totally compatible with iPad, as stated in blurb, I am reluctant to say any more, other than it is a great PC software.

### 1/5 — Contacts not working

*2016-01-15, version 2.7.12*

Contacts do not sync with ios9.2. Not even a button....

### 3/5 — So little functionality as to virtually useless

*2014-03-20, version 2.7.9*

I have had essential pim for years from back when you could keep and use it on a USB stick. By far the most useful way of running it.

When I finally got around to buying an iPad I thought this would be a perfect addition. Alas within second it proved a sad dream. Essentially on the iPhone and iPad it is no more than a feeble todo list. No notes that I use extensively. More than all the other functions. Nor most of the other functions

Move to Evernote I fear

### 1/5 — Don't Bother

*2014-01-31, version 2.7.9*

Simply does not work. Will not even start. I gave it a single star, because I am not allowed by Apple to give zero. Update - Sent an e-mail to the developer several days ago. No response. Update- still no response. This app is a fraud.

### 2/5 — Very disappointing

*2014-01-12, version 2.7.9*

I haven't been able to synch my iPhone w/the software on my laptop on any wireless network except my home network and when I contacted customer support, they said it was due to the firewalls on the other networks- no solution. So the software is practically useless. It also keeps changing the end dates for my recurring appointments and deleting appointments from my calendar. Fortunately, I have other calendar apps on my phone, because the iOS interface on this app is terrible. On the positive side, however, when I am able to use the software, it has a lot of good features comparable to Outlook.

### 2/5 — Needs iOS 7 update really bad.

*2013-09-30, version 2.7*

Won't accept master password to access my passwords since iOS 7 update.

### 3/5 — not on ipad

*2013-07-13, version 2.7*

Their website says it's available for both ipads and iphones but it's only for iphones.

### 2/5 — Calandar

*2013-04-28, version 2.7*

This app is not very user friendly. I love the software on my PC but when I'm on the go and someone wants to make an appointment I cannot see the whole Calendar for a month so I can see if I have an opening that day. It needs to have a calendar similar to the IPhone etc. that shows each month in advance.

### 3/5 — Joe S

*2013-02-17, version 2.6*

I use the Windows Desktop version and have for years, Awesome! This app is a nice move forward but what I use the most is the Notes and Calendar features of the product, when and if the notes feature is released for the iphone/ipad version then I would give a Five starr rating. I hope Notes is in the works!

### 2/5 — Needs a bigger screen

*2013-02-17, version 2.6*

After seeing the large desktop version to sync with, it's hard to see the tiny iphone screen . . . especially when you're using an iPad! Make it iPad friendly then maybe I'll check it out again. Until then these eyes can't handle that small of a screen.

### 3/5 — Need options

*2013-01-13, version 2.5*

I need to see more than a few days. Need week and month views

### 1/5 — The worst apple 🍎 app ever. An update: couldn’t be any worse. Garbage. Total garbage.

*2025-05-14, version 3.1.0*

The worst thing to ever happen to an iPhone.

Update: what is even the point of this app being offered on Apple? It’s a joke. Doesn’t work. It’s an embarrassment to the iPhone.

The worst thing to ever happen to an iPhone.

### 1/5 — The worst apple 🍎 app ever.

The worst thing to ever happen to an iPhone.

### 1/5 — Does not work at all on iphone

*2023-09-18, version 3.1.0*

I've been hanging onto My old android phone because I could not get it to work at all on my newer iphone even with tech support and many hours of trying. I noticed there's a newer version now but nothing about it fixing the iphone compatibility issues. I'm not willing to invest any more time in trying to get it to work until I see evidence that it will. I will be looking for an alternative that works with iphone and syncs with a PC.

### 1/5 — Will not sync with windows 11 pc

*2023-03-25, version 3.0.7*

I have tried for 2 days now to get this to sync with my windows 11 pc. Android, no issue. This iOS app need to have a connect manually link like the android version does. It also doesn’t have a refresh button on the sync screen (refresh or rescan). Without these options, it is impossible to use this app if you have an iPhone and a windows 11 pc.

### 1/5 — What happen?

*2023-01-29, version 3.0.7*

What happen to the actual calendar part? I bought this app for my android and it was way better than the the one for the iphone. Way better! I might keep this for my iphone just for the passwords, but chances are I will find, and buy, a new calendar… then go and find a dedicated password app… If I could give it a negative review I would.

### 1/5 — Very expensive basic app if …

*2023-01-06, version 3.0.7*

Very expensive basic app if you not pay by US dollars and you cannot pay on USD if you don’t have US credit card. They have very different prices because of artificial exchange rate to USD.

### 1/5 — Can not Sync with PC

*2022-08-04, version 3.0.7*

This version can not sync with Windows PC.

### 1/5 — The worst iPad app

*2021-11-01, version 3.0.6*

This app is wasting space in the Apple store.

### 1/5 — No notes sync???

*2020-11-13, version 3.0.3*

Without notes sync this app is useless!! When this portion will be added?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works great

*2017-03-31, version 2.7.12*

This app allows me to synchronize The EPIM calendar on my PC with my iPhone calendar. It works very dependably.

Technical support is excellent.

### 5/5 — I love it!

*2014-04-19, version 2.7.9*

I've had EPIM on my PC for 5+ years and depend on it. It's a great place to store all my data. Being able to sync it with my iPhone is just icing on the cake for me!

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2012-09-08, version 2.0.7*

Great app, sync with the excellent pc version works very well so I can keep all my info up to date when on the go. Thanks.

### 5/5 — Outstanding App

*2012-08-17, version 2.0.6*

I've used EssentialPIM across several PCs for years now; it's the best PIM I've ever used on that platform, and I've tried many of them. Now, with the ability to sync to iPad, it's even better. I can have a single database of contacts, diary entries, passwords and tasks which is shared between iPad, home PC, and a portable app on a USB stick.

The only mild hiccup - it took me a few minutes to realise I had to enter the master password on the iPad before synchronising with the PC.

### 4/5 — Passwords

*2013-10-13, version 2.7*

Still no update on the password problem. The passwords are my favorite part of the app. Please fix.

### 4/5 — Good but...

*2013-09-20, version 2.7*

Needs to get updated for IOS7. Passwords not working yet

### 4/5 — Happy but a little dissapointed

*2012-08-03, version 2.0.5*

version 2.0.5

I've been using the free version of Essential PIM Portable for a number of years now, and it is a top notch program.
In that time I have accrued a lot of contacts. I bought an iPod Touch and I wanted to be able to transfer my contacts over to the device without having to type them all in by hand, plus I wanted an app that would keep in secure.
My experience with the portable program was such that I had no problem forking over the money for the Pro version (I even upgraded to the lifetime option) when I discovered that they had developed an app for iOS that would let me do exactly what I wanted.
I installed and synced all my contacts without any hitches glitches or errors. I was Happy.
Then I read that the iOS app doesn't keep a secure and seperate database of my contacts like does in the portable version...dissapointment, and the only reason I didn't give the app 5 stars.
I hope they develop the contact list inside of the app with the ability to set a password to open it, so that in the future I can password protect all my contacts seperatly from the iPod.

### 4/5 — Works well. A great addition to EssentialPIM!!

*2012-08-01, version 2.0.5*

This is a great start for the EssentialPIM iPhone app, and I look forward to new modules being added!

### 3/5 — Password structure needs improvement

*2021-08-24, version 3.0.6*

On the Android platform Epim synchronizes the password structure from the PC without any problem, smooth, but the iOS version does not bring the structure. Too basic defeating the purpose that is well done on the PC and Android :-( I have suggested so many times without solution. This was the best feature I could use when I was an Android user...
8/24/2021- Still nothing on this! Please allow the password structure and hierarchy of the computer to be imported into the iOS app!!

### 3/5 — Can't sync

*2014-05-26, version 2.7.9*

I like the PC version a lot, but I haven't been able to sync it with my phone. I've gone through the troubleshooting steps and tried reinstalling. No go. I may stick with the PC version for a while - the calendar is exactly what I was looking for. But I'll keep looking for something I can sync.
