## What is EstateStep?

EstateStep helps you stay organized when you're settling a loved one's estate through the small-estate affidavit or simplified-probate process.

Losing someone is hard, and the paperwork that follows can be overwhelming. EstateStep walks you through it one step at a time, on your own phone, at your own pace.

WHAT IT DOES
• Pick your state and enter the estimated estate value, and EstateStep shows whether the estate may fall under that state's small-estate affidavit threshold
• Surfaces the affidavit/form name and general requirements for your state
• Builds a checklist of the documents most estates need (death certificate copies, the will if there is one, asset inventory, ID, the affidavit form, and more)
• Tracks your asset-collection progress — bank accounts, vehicles, property, and personal items — with collected vs. outstanding totals
• Generates a clean filing summary you can share or print to take to the probate clerk
