### 1/5 — Different prices from website

*2025-07-19, version 94*

The app does not allow me to buy child tickets, on the Edinburgh trams website I can get 2 adults and up to 3 under 16’s for £9 whereas I would need 3 adult tickets so £12.60 on the app. Meanwhile app day tickets are £4.20 whereas the website is £5

Shambles

### 2/5 — Password doesn’t populate

*2025-06-24, version 94*

App is ok despite being part of one group of companies Edinburgh Trams and Buses have 2 apps. This one doesn’t, like every other app, recognise the password so you have to remember it’s passenger-app if you ever get logged out of the app.

### 5/5 — Really nice, useful app

*2025-05-23, version 92*

I’ve been using the app for quite a while now and really appreciate the simplicity and ease of use. A couple of taps and I’m ready to travel. Then, when tickets run out, a couple of taps and I’ve reloaded using Apple Pay.

Bumped into a member of the marketing team at the Ingliston tram stop today (she was promoting the Tap Off initiative) and got chatting about the app. It was genuinely lovely to speak to someone who really cares about the customer experience and what can be offered through the app. Brightened my day so much.

### 4/5 — Great ticket app - iPhone brightness needs fixed

*2024-12-05, version 78*

Apps works well. Simple and effective but it turns iPhone brightness to almost max when you open the app. It then leaves the phone stuck on this despite closing the app or switching away. Have a word with Starbucks they’ve managed to sort theirs. Please fix this to make it perfect.

### 5/5 — Apple wallet

*2024-11-07, version 77*

Really great app. Works well but I miss apple wallet for easy access

### 2/5 — Bundles of single tickets

*2024-10-15, version 75*

I use the single tickets and every time I need one I have to go through the full checkout process as there are no bundles available like other ticket types. It’s quicker to use the machine at the stop.

### 1/5 — No use for tourists

*2024-05-27, version 66*

No map, no option to display your four day pass, no times/live arrival info…. Pretty useless - not even a map!

### 1/5 — Child tickets??

*2024-01-27, version 57*

Do children not exist in Edinburgh?

### 1/5 — Best to use the website

*2023-09-24*

The app doesn’t do a good job to make sure first time users understand the activation and expiration. When you buy through the website, you pay less (a discount is applied) and there’s non of this unnecessary steps of “activate” and stress of expiration nonsense. Overall, a poor digital ticket experience. Unnecessarily makes ticketing more complex, the complete opposite of what tech should do.

### 3/5 — Fix the brightness issue

*2023-09-07, version 48*

I love this app but it constantly tries to kill my battery. When you open a ticket to show the conductor it maxes the brightness on iPhones. Fair enough, other ticket apps do that too. But, this app doesn’t put the brightness back down to normal again like other apps do. So, unless I remember to do it myself manually my battery doesn’t last the day. Please fix it, it is possible.
