The new text now appears the moment you confirm. If the edit never reaches the server, the previous text comes back and the error notice appears. ### 0.17.61 — 2026-08-18 Opening a group. • A group could load forever. When you open a group conversation, the app waits for the server to say who sent each message — and that wait had no deadline at all. A single reply that never arrived left the screen spinning until you closed and reopened the app. The wait is now bounded: once the deadline passes the conversation opens anyway, and the app records what stalled, so the cause shows up instead of vanishing. • The group key request was being refused in silence. Whoever joins a group after the others asks for the key from someone already inside. That request was missing a field the server requires, and was refused without anyone knowing: the person who asked was left with an unnamed group and locked older messages, with no warning on screen, and the key holder never learned that anyone had asked. The request now reaches its destination. ### 0.17.60 — 2026-08-15 Answering with the device locked. • The app was ending the very call it had just answered. When you answer, the call stops being "ringing" — and the app, on noticing that, dismissed the incoming-call alert on every device, including the one that answered. On iPhone, dismissing that alert ends the call. That was the "ended" message on your screen. • Your vault stays locked. Protected conversations and the emergency PIN still require unlocking the device, as before. ### 0.17.55 — 2026-08-14 The app no longer gets stuck on "loading". • Your conversations come back on their own. When the app started on a poor connection, one read failed silently and the conversation list — and the contact list — spun forever, even after the network returned. The only way out was to close and reopen the app. It now retries by itself and reloads what it missed when you return to it. If it still fails, you see the error and can pull to refresh. • No more confusing contact invites. When the other person had already invited you, the app said "Request sent" and nothing happened. It now tells you an invitation is waiting for you to accept. • Answering with the iPhone locked. Calls dropped a few seconds after you answered. With the device locked, hardware protection refused to open your account keys and the app wrongly concluded it had none. Calls now hold. • Your vault stays locked. Protected conversations and the emergency PIN still require unlocking the device, as before. ### 0.17.52 — 2026-08-12 Share your screen on Mac. • During a call, Mac can now share your whole screen or just one window. The other person sees your screen and your face at the same time, side by side — the camera keeps running. The first time, macOS asks for screen recording permission.
