There is a huge problem on ranked matches. As a begginer i would expect to face a player with smiliar skills and card collection. 

But it does not happen and it is common to face pro players all the time.

Encore un JCC et encore très moyen malheureusement, c’est une pâle copie de Hearthstone et bien sûr Magic.
En plus aucun automatisme, pas moyen de faire tout attaquer en un click, pas de fin de tour auto quand plus actions possible et tuto interminable.. désolé mais bof

Vorab: Dieses Spiel hat mindestens die Qualität von Hearthstone und MTG Arena wenn nicht sogar besser. 

Man bekommt soviel stuff geschenkt das man wenn man dran bleibt super easy competitive gehen kann(ich rede nicht von Monaten dran bleiben sondern von ein paar Wochen). Ganze Themen Decks und Staple cards werden einem for free geschenkt nichts ist hinter einer echt Geld only pay wall versteckt man kann unendlich viel Gold grinden. Alle Modi die draft based sind lassen dich alle verwendeten Karten behalten. Selbst ihr Format das alle Karten erlaubt sie je released wurden ist besser gebalanced als Hearthstone. Und sollte man sich doch entscheiden die Entwickler zu unterstützen ist die Preis Leistung genial. Der DireWolfDigital Discord für Eternals hat die aufnehmenste und unterstützendste Community die ich jeh gesehen habe selbst Champions (Gewinner der großen Turniere) reden offen auf dem discord und beteiligen sich täglich an Diskussionen oder unterstützen im channel für neue Spieler, alle wichtigen Infos sind in den channels gepinnt. Ein kleiner Tipp für Anfänger: gebt euer Gold nicht für aus, spielt Schmiede und Ziehung damit. Wenn ihr nicht gut in draft formats seid findet ihr Hilfe im Discord. Ich habe mich niemals so wohl gefühlt Teil einer Community zu sein wie bei Eternals.

Eternal has always been a coin flip game and it’s somehow gotten worse. Easily the worst balancing of any collectible card game, you either win by a landslide or lose by one. Honestly, you might as well flip a coin.

The art style is incredible. The game mechanics are unique and fun. And the lore is deep, sophisticated, and intriguing.

But the draw rates are one of the WORST in all of mobile gaming history.

I cannot comprehend the logic behind the draw rates. Either the developers believed having an influx of too much mana or too many monsters could constitute “difficulty,” or there has been a serious lack of judgement of what makes a game fun. I played several games in which I draw over 14 sigils one after another in one match. Then I tried to create a new deck and again drew an absurd amount of monsters one after another (about 9) without any sigils; and then played a new game where I drew 11 sigils one after another without monsters. The algorithm used to “randomize” decks is a joke. 

I tried to go online and create decks based on the suggestions of other players. And still, the algorithm makes the draw rates hilariously bad. One just cannot have a “balanced” deck in this game at all, no matter what one does. I tried to reduce the number of cards in my deck; I tried to increase it. I added more sigils, reduced sigils, added more spells, reduced spells, etc. NOTHING WORKS.

Playing against other players becomes impossible, and the AI will ALWAYS win in PVE. These imbalances make it so that players continue to believe that there is a thin possibility of beating this algorithm; which then gives incentive to spend more time making decks; which inevitably leads to wanting to purchase packs; which then leads to spending money.

I highly recommend NOT downloading this game. The draw rates are very bad, the AI is rigged against you all the time, and no matter what you do for however long, you will always end up drawing too many monsters at a time or too many sigils. You cannot win at any event or match with this game.

Other games exist that have better randomized algorithms for balanced draw rates. Yugioh Duel Links, while with its own meta problems, is descent. There is a reason why games like that continue to evolve with constant new updates whereas this one just stagnates.

It’s a shame. This game has amazing potential, and the artwork is very cool. I really like the different characters and stories as well, and I could see this becoming a Netflix show or a YouTube series. But the fact that players cannot even properly play or draw cards to a deck they created makes me want to uninstall this game and just look at the artwork on my own time online.

Download if you don’t want to take this game seriously. Avoid if you want to have fun.

Great graphics & variety of cards & classes/characters. Fun solo game play or against AI. Item price points are too expensive for what you receive. ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC gameplay against live opponents: 1. Matching just does NOT work...it's always an exceptionally higher class/experience player VS lower. 2. Wanna win? Then just buy your way to it via card packs. 3. NOT FUN AT ALL.... Draw your cards, think your live opponent is worthy (as in around your skill level)....by the 3rd or 4th round - your opponent then plays a VAST array of 'special/rare' cards in one go which makes the rest of the match of no point as it determines a LANDSLIDE win for you opponent. EVERY TIME. Fun would mean 'hey I have a chance and give it a shot'. Tried to get friends to play but they too felt it CONSIDERABLY prohibitive to 'have fun' with live matches for the same reason. Absolutely regret the money I spent. AVOID.

I used to play this game a massive amount, and originally it felt like a true skill game where deck building felt like the main point of the game. Unfortunately after returning it just feels like a massive pay to win, with cards being uncraftable unless you buy certain expansions, and in game currency coming by slowly to purchase said expansions. Also, the power requirements in a deck being forced to have 1/3rd power feels extremely restrictive, resulting in multiple turns where your draws are extremely dead considering that your opening hand usually can cover the influence requirements your deck can run. If asked when I originally played this game, I would have recommended it, but with the current state of the game I can not in good faith recommend it to new or returning players, unless they feel like sinking money into a game that on the bare surface is a “free to play”

Everything depends on card draw. Either you draw too many “sigils” (aka mana) and not enough functional cards, or you draw no sigils and thus cant play any cards. It is so frustrating and dumb. Also the alleged game controller support doesn’t work. And I tried reaching out to the developers about this and received no response whatsoever. Clearly they don’t care whether or not their game works as advertised.

About a month and a half ago, I was getting persistent login errors. When I sent a message to support, they blamed my isp. Not sure why my isp would make any difference, but every other game and service logged in just fine. Eventually I could get in if I just spammed login over and over until the error resolved itself, and then finally it fixed entirely and everything was fine. Then last week it started getting stuck on “authenticating”.  Now I’m getting persistent login errors again. No spamming will get past it. My support request from last week seems to have been ignored. If the sinking ship that is Dire Wolf ever gets their act together, I may consider playing again, but we’ll see. I’ve switched to MTG Arena. Eternal is a blatant ripoff of MTG anyway.

I played magic for a long time in this game was a lot more fun. However, when you have to have 35 to 40 out of 75 cards, all of them are energy just to get two of them to eventually show up in a single draw 20 rounds in a row then there’s something broken in the game.
If I could buy these cards and play them in the real world, that would be awesome
But their math is broken.

This is an eminently f2p game. I have spent some money over the years but I’ve felt it worthy because the game is of great quality.

The card pool is deep. The strategies are subtle and varied. The AI is annoyingly good, in a good way. It’s possible to grind out packs all day. 

The player base is pretty advanced as far as competition goes. All in all, I really like this game.

Brilliant graphics, lore, gameplay, mechanisms everything. All the grindng over the years feels very rewarding. A must play for Mtg or any other ccg buff.

I am a big fan of Dire Wolf, and a lot of my money has been spent on their products. I’ve even bought all three Clank! versions (if you are unfamiliar with DW’s board games, look them up, they’re amazing!). I bought the Root app, which is widely considered the epitome of physical to digital conversions. And now I’ve downloaded Eternal… but have not paid a dime for it!

I’ll no doubt end up buying a campaign at some point, which from what I gather will set me back $10, using real life dollars to purchase in-game currency (gems) to spend in their store. But I’m currently more than half way to earning enough gold within the game as an alternate way of buying a campaign, just from battling for free. 

I don’t love fighting real humans for some reason, though I have more wins than losses currently, and mostly play the “Gauntlet” - the series of increasingly difficult matches - in an attempt to earn larger and greater prizes. I’d say that the Gauntlet does reveal some of the frustrations common to this sort of online collectible card game, as towards the end, the AI uses not just “Legendary” cards, which from my calculations I would have to spend $29 to reliably obtain, but whole mechanisms that are as yet unavailable to me. But, I do believe that’s what your signing up for when Gauntlet-ing. So far other human players haven’t unleashed unbalanced hurt upon me, which I am thankful for. 

Regardless, I have to give this 5 stars because of all the enjoyment I’ve gotten, free of charge. Thank you Dire Wolf yet again for all the good times.
