## What is Eternal Return?

The perpetual day has fallen upon the earth. Fight terrible monsters and yokai in the turn-based battles of Eternal Return, a turn-based strategy rpg. Use your hero's magic and your kami's (pokemon like monsters) magic to create the best strategy. Improve your weapons and magic thanks to card crawl.

Eternal Return's battle system is similar to a board strategy rpg with turn-based battles. As you progress through dungeons, the monsters and bosses will become more and more powerful through almost infinite levels. Level up your hero, earn rewards and open chests to collect the game cards to improve your eternal sword and spells. This way you can choose between multiple types of weapons and attacks with the most diverse magic effects.

Follow a fantasy story in a world of anime style, dystopian and with an atmosphere of japanese rpg. You’ll have to defeat the sun queen and the yokai hordes, so as to recover the eternal return cycle. Eternal Return takes the best things of other rpgs and great turn-based strategy games. You'll find multiple kami pets, magical monsters that fight for you. You can use them in turn-based battles, to defeat the most powerful monsters using their special magic. You can level up your Kami and teach them new attacks with very different effects that will allow you to define completely new fighting strategies.

You can play Eternal Return as an offline casual game, as your inventory is saved offline only a couple of features require connection. All the content of the game is available and can be obtained for free, it depends on your expertise and strategy that you get to unlock all the secrets. There is no limit of stamina or energy. Purchases are optional and useful to complete your collections faster.

This is an amazing game with really nice graphics, the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars that it deserves is because of a bug. Every time you power up a kami it kicks you at the game but it still powers it up.

### 2/5 — Only 3 villages?

This is a mixed of strategy, RPGs and puzzles type of game, however you don’t match 3. There are 9 squares and you can only kill the enemies in the squares directly beside, above and underneath, you move around the squares to kill the enemies and or pick up potions. 

However fun it is, it’s designed to have you spending money to unlock more stuff because the free ones they give you aren’t enough and sometimes gave you pieces to weapons you can no longer upgrade cuz it’s maxed out.

There are 5 worlds instead of 3 (you might have missed the ancient forest and the mountain). The limited number of squares makes every turn very important for your strategy. Also choosing the right Kami pet attack may save your day. Like with pokemon there is some difficulty different deppending on your strategy and the pet you choose at the beginning. Also it is true that you might get useless pieces sometimes, we shall fix that allowing you to exchange them for something interesting.

I always hold off for 5 stars because I always get yeeted the more I play some games. So far, this game is unique and challenging enough to be frustrating but fun. Only on second map, so idk, yet. Will say, it costs a bit to get more than 1 Kami AND level it up but so far, doing ok with the one. And there is strategy on how you attack the beasts, which causes you to lose the level if you’re not paying attention, but seeing the “path” isn’t too difficult so far. So, yeah, I’m liking this game at this point!
