I’ve used this app on and off for more than 10 years.  While it gets the job done, I’m disappointed that the app hasn’t received feature enhancements to keep up with the evolving hardware technology. Such as iPhone widgets and a landscape view for your desktop. Looking at the app version history, it’s been 6 years since anything has been updated. And 8 years since the last feature update.

Application au coeur de ma routine pro quotidienne pour avoir une lisibilité directe et simple du temps passé. 

On est loin des outils automatiques de tracking et de focalisation. Mais c’est justement cette approche simple et basique qui m’intéresse. 

Il y a les bonnes fonctionnalités pour qualifier les différentes activités (activités, et tags) tout en aillant pas de fioriture. 

Par contre, j’enlève une étoile, car l’application ne semble plus mise à jour depuis un moment. (pas adapté à toutes les résolutions d’écrans, petits bugs  non résolus)

Il faudrait que je teste l’abonnement pour avoir la version synchronisée mais je trouve le bon abonnement un peu cher, dû notamment à ce manque de mises à jour.

Definitely the best time tracking/management app out there, as far as I am concerned, but for some reason the logs started showing up in an inverse order - the latest one on the top, instead of on the bottom. 
As the day starts with an earlier time, this is kinda confusing, as I tend to transfer the info from the app into my formal timesheet at work. It’s kind of annoying an really not functional. I like the time logs to start at the top with 8am or whenever I start my day. The reverse is totally counterintuitive. 
I think this may be due to a new update or is otherwise a glitch. If it’s the former, then there should be an option to choose how the info is displayed. 
I wrote to give feedback, but haven’t heard back so far. Hopefully it will get addressed soon. 
But for this issue, I always really loved the app.

I have used Eternity exclusively for the past 4 years with no problems and still discovering marvelous aspects to its functionality. 

When I started looking for a good time track app, I selected 9 for evaluation from what I found in the App Store and online reviews. As a software engineer, I employed rigorous testing of each app. My requirements were:

1. Start/stop timers by task. 
2. Export/backup/restore data. 
3. Add note and/or tags to entries. 
4. Edit time/task/activity entries. 
5. Hierarchy of tasks/activities. 
6. Add colors to tasks/activities. 
7.  Assign $ to task/activity hours. 
8. Link expenses. 
9. Mac OS version with sync. 

After trying each of the nine apps, I selected what I considered to be the top 4 candidates (including Eternity), installed, and ran them simultaneously tracking my time and activities. 

After a month, I selected Eternity for its features, stability, and ease of use. It satisfied all my requirements except for assigning $ to tasks and linking expenses, but I worked around that with notes and tags to tasks/activities. There is no Mac OS version but that was not missed as the export data feature provided a well organized CSV file to use on my Mac and Windows machines. 

A really good test of its backup/restore feature happened when I put my iPhone in the washing machine by mistake. When I restored my iPhone backup to my replacement phone, I reinstalled the Eternity app and restored its data from an Eternity backup file via email. It was flawless. I was very impressed and grateful. 

There are many capabilities in this app besides those which I desired:  

1. Having a list of favorite and recent tasks/activities from which to choose rapidly. 
2. Move/sort tasks/activities. 
3. Chain link times to previous or succeeding times. 
4. Other nifty features that I’m still discovering. 

My only negative is that in the CSV export, the time duration is in time and not decimal hours. Not a biggie since a spreadsheet macro can make the conversion. 

I’ve written software for over 20 years and know when software is good or bad. Eternity is neither. It is exceptional.

I know I’m not doing anything that I can get her to come get her stuff she’s doing a lot more than I can do it she’s doing that stuff for me to come over and get her to come back home she’s so upset about it when I was just sitting there and she asked me if I was going anywhere else I don’t think she’s going to come over here and she’s going to be able to get me a little bit of groceries and then I’ll be back to pick up my stuff

I usually don’t write reviews or rate apps, but this app has helped me so much. It has all the time tracking features that I need and very intuitive UI. The cherry on top is you can email the dump to you and do all sorts of reporting.

Diese App kann man sowohl für einfaches time-tracking nutzen als auch für ausführliche Analysen seiner Zeitnutzung. Ich nutze diese App gerne, um zu sehen, wieviel Zeit ich für bestimmte Aufgaben brauche und kann damit herausfinden, wie effektiv ich meine Zeit verbringe.

Die Bedienung ist sehr intuitiv. Es gibt sehr viele Möglichkeiten für die individuelle Konfiguration. Man kann für sich eigene Zeit-Kategorien anlegen, bspw. „Arbeit“ und „Privat“ und dazu jegliche Unterkategorien.  Es können Favoriten gespeichert werden, verschiedene Farben eingestellt werden sowie individuelle Tags geschaffen werden.

Rundum eine sehr gut gemachte, empfehlenswerte App!

I installed this over the weekend and I love it. It does exactly what a time tracking app should do- tracks the time I spend on activities and reports it back to me. It is easy to figure out, easy to start and stop the timers, and I appreciate that I can add the number of activities that I need to see. Thank you for making something usable and straightforward.

Been using this app for years and it has been very valuable in helping my to focus on the time spent each day doing a myriad of activities .  Now I know how much time I spent on my various work and home activities, as well as sleep.  This is helping me to be more productive, aware, and I use the reports to help tell me when my focus and priorities are getting out of wack so that I Kano was I need to make corrections. 

The developer was very helpful when I was having trouble syncing Eternity between my iPhone and iPad. My email requesting guidance was responded to quickly and thoroughly.

I was using this app daily on my original iPhone X to track time on the projects I was working on. Sometime in June 2020 the app would load but is not able to stay in the foreground rendering it useless. 
I used the support link to information the developer with no response as of 7/15/20. 

This app on the same version of iOS still works on my iPhone 7s+. 

Prior to this incident I would have given the a a 4 star rating.

Esse é app é com certeza o meu maior desperdício de dinheiro na App Store. 

Seja para trackear suas horas de trabalho ou para apenas otimizar sua rotina, existem muitas outras opções bem mais baratas e muito mais eficientes. 

O app funciona, mas é limitado, tem interface ruim e é feio. 

Me arrependi de ter desperdiçado dinheiro nele e hoje uso outros apps bem mais convenientes.

Whatever it was they changed in the updates has made this app frustrating and annoying to use. In order to put in info correctly you have to out think its default " logic ".  A time waster if a time tracker.

I was excited to use this app to calculate the time I do for an internship. Personally, this app did not create a clear and understanding format so that I could view my hours logged or later enter hours. I was able to do both of those things, but it lacked a simple way to view my hours cumulatively.

Läuft stabil und macht was es soll, allerdings wird hier der versucht dem Nutzer Geld aus der Tasche zu ziehen. 10€ jährlich nur damit ich meine Daten synchronisieren kann sind eindeutig zu viel. 3-5€ wäre noch vertretbar meiner Meinung nach.

Now there's syncing also in eternity, but for 9€ a year...it is definitely to much...

I've been using Eternity Time Log since July 2021. I love how I can manually adjust the times when I forget to switch tasks. I love how I can add notes. I love the reporting options. 

I've talked to others who felt something was missing from their app, but I have never felt that way and have recommended this to many people. 

Eternity time log is a complete time tracker that meets and exceeds my expectations! Thank you!

This app is simple, flexible and customizable. I can export the data for my self-employment time-tracking and billing. The reports and data export help me track where my time goes. Syncing lets me use it on iOS or iPadOS. I really have used it 24/7 for over 10 years. Before that I used a paper system, the Day-Timer system to log my time, and I still use Day-Timer for some logs, but this app is more powerful.

I have used every single day this App for almost a decade since the happy day in which I bought it. I would like to give my sincerest congratulations to the developer, tell him that there are hundreds and hundreds of users around the world very happy for this fantastic App that lets us manage our time in a way that no other device or App has still been able to equal in such a simple, yet complete, way and I would like to encourage him to never abandon it and always keep it updated to the latest technologies which the new iPhones offer (dark mode, widgets, Siri commands integration, iOS shortcuts integration, etc.)… If one day some iOS update kills this App that would destroy me… i’m totally dependent to it by now… I would not know what to do without managing my time so meticulously while also being able to keep an eye on my weekly, monthly, yearly averages (please add automatically calculated/displayed averages!)… Congratulations! Whoever you are, we love you for this App! Thank you!

This is an excellent time-logger that has been very well thought-out and has a satisfying depth of features. I have used various time logging strategies in the past and used different sorts of time logging programs. I have written custom time-logging software for my own use. So, when I tell you that this the app has been designed well for what you really need, I know what I am talking about. I gladly pay $10 for this kind of good design and feature depth. For those that have real use for this sort of application, I highly recommend this one.

UPDATE 2022: Have recently had occasion to get back to time logging with Eternity. Still a great app. Still the best app I know of for my purposes.

Super appka. Nie wiem, czy jest jeszcze rozwijana, jeśli tak, to fajnie byłoby dodać funkcję ustawiania, kiedy dzień się zaczyna i kończy. Często siedzę po nocach i chciałabym, żeby czas po północy liczył mi się do poprzedniego dnia. Inne aplikacje mają tę funkcję. Ale tak czy inaczej, świetne darmowe narzędzie.

I’m just getting started and I am thrilled with the ease of this app. I am taking time this week to stop and add new sub-categories as needed. I am using this app to manage all of my time better: personal, business, social, etc. 

As a creative entrepreneur, I have lots of time, but the days seemed to slip away without getting to the unscheduled things that are also really important.  It’s easy for me to feel overwhelmed by tasks and then go waste time doing something meaningless. 

Now when I finish something, I consider how I want to use my time next, choose the category and start the timer. It makes me feel more purposeful and helps me respect my own time more.

It feels great to be able to wonder where the day went and see it listed on my time logs. No more feeling like I wasted a day being unintentional. If I decide to chill or read or pet my cats, I have a category for that too! My days of losing time are over. I’m clocked in for life! Thanks for a great app!
