They need to just keep trying to dramatically improve this version of the app, because I used the other app first I had a terrible first experience with etoro. I didn’t even know there was 2 versions, it was just the first one shown me in the App Store. I’ll continue to test this version & see whether the app is worth parking my investments with them. A day later & the onboarding process is really painful & makes me really concerned about privacy with the volume of information requested whilst locking up my funds (even more bizarre as a long time customer of a company they own). Also concerned if I could get funds out if I decide to invest with them. Logged out 4-5 times a day, screen frequently half loads with the menu bar showing in the middle so I can’t scroll properly, for stocks I’ve done more than the number of purchases that fit on the screen I can’t scroll down, portfolio balance not showing sometimes, ‘login_undefined’ error when logging in via Google sign in, changing the timeframe on the statement showing interest paid doesn’t work, in general the UI is clunky at best, really poorly thought out at worse compared to others. PLEASE sort it out. Yes I have the updated app, no I’m not moaning for the sake of it. The platform is ugly, they mix all wrappers (cfd, sb, non leverage) together which creates a bad experience, would not recommend! ### 1/5 — Extremely frustrating customer service and no viable way to speak to a human *2026-08-21, version v651.1317.1* I have been trying to regain access to my eToro account for more than six months, and my experience with customer service has been incredibly frustrating. My account is currently blocked because I no longer have access to the recovery option I originally set up. When I created the account, I was living in Qatar and registered a local Qatari phone number. That number is now inactive because I no longer live there. I have also subsequently lost access to the email address originally registered to my eToro account. The problem is that eToro’s support system seems completely incapable of dealing with this situation. I cannot properly open a support ticket because I am unable to email from the original registered email address. When I do try to contact support, the ticket is either closed immediately or I am directed to use the live chat. The problem with that is that live chat requires me to log into the account, which I cannot do because my account is blocked. This has left me trapped in a completely circular process: I can’t log in → I can’t access live chat → I can’t contact customer service properly → I can’t verify my identity through an alternative method → my account remains blocked. What makes this even more frustrating is that the responses I receive are largely generic, automated/AI-generated responses that don’t actually address the specific circumstances of my situation. I have repeatedly explained that I no longer have access to either my old phone number or my original email address, yet I continue to be directed back to the same options that are impossible for me to use. I am not asking for special treatment. I am simply asking for a reasonable, human-led alternative method of verifying my identity and recovering access to my account. After more than six months of going around in the same circle, I still have no clear pathway to speak to someone who can actually assess my situation and resolve it. For a financial platform holding customers’ accounts and investments, I find this level of customer support completely unacceptable. The platform may be easy to use when everything works, but what matters most is how a company treats you when something goes wrong and eToro’s customer service has failed me badly in that regard. I would strongly urge eToro to provide customers in situations like mine with a genuine escalation pathway to a human representative who can verify their identity through alternative means and resolve account-access issues. Use the damn thing ### 1/5 — Unable to Withdraw My Money *2026-07-31, version v651.1310.0* I have been using eToro for years and invested thousands of dollars through the platform. Now that I am trying to withdraw my funds, I cannot transfer them to a bank account and the only option available is PayPal. Every time I try to withdraw to PayPal, the transaction fails and the funds are returned to my eToro account. This is extremely frustrating. Depositing money was easy, but withdrawing it has become almost impossible. A trading platform should make it just as easy to access your own money as it is to invest it. I hope eToro resolves this issue immediately.
