If you’re playing a track and want to skip back to the beginning, pressing the skip backward button goes to the previous track unlike every other media player I’ve ever used: it should start the song over. Instead, what happens is that it skips to the beginning of the previous track. If you then press the skip forward button, it will return to the original track, with the playhead still at whatever time it was at when you first tried to start it over. What should happen: the first time you press the skip backward button, it should seek to the beginning of the current track. Pressing it again should take you to the previous track. It should never remember where the playhead was when skipping between tracks. ### 3/5 — Loved the app before,big problems now though... *2025-05-05, version 4.0.1* Not being able to filter by year for concert recordings on mobile makes this app basically unusable. Sorry, I’m sure a lot of work went into this, but that’s just crazy. Just tried to “search” a Grateful Dead show by 9/27/1976 and September 27, 1976 - neither had results even though there are at least 5 sources available on Archive. That’s half the fun! Also, I liked being able to sort by year. Bummer ### 4/5 — Update needed? *2024-10-17, version 2.0.6* I love this app and use it all the time. However, I haven’t been able to use it since the iOS 18 update. Could be unrelated, but I uninstalled, reinstalled, unplugged the universe and plugged it back in. All that. Might need an update. I don’t know. ### 4/5 — ETREE Issues *2024-10-15, version 2.0.6* I have not been able to stream any music over the last couple days. I bring up a show / specific tune and it basically fast forwards through the setlist then goes blank. So I see all the shows just can’t listen to anything. Sadly. I tried downloading the App again to no avail. Any recommendations? ### 4/5 — Great app but not pulling all artists from LMA *2022-01-14, version 2.0.6* I love the app and use it often but it doesn’t seem to be pulling a complete list of artists from the Live Music Archive. I’ve also noticed that sometime it won’t show set one and you can only listen to set two. Would be awesome if it got an update/fix. Otherwise I love this app and prefer it over the others that pull from LMA. ### 4/5 — Near Perfect, But Due For An Update *2021-08-09, version 2.0.6* This has been one of my favorite apps for several years now, but recently it has been crashing before the app even opens. Very disappointing, as I much prefer this interface over other similar options. I’m giving only 4 stars because the app crashes when I select a show to download. I was only able to get one show downloaded before it started doing that. But lately with the latest version it will crash once I’ve selected a a show and need to download it. The app just disappears and I’m back to my iPhone 8 home screen. I’ve got about 14 shows downloaded. Otherwise this app truly Rocks!! I appreciate the team that brought us this compilation of live music, something I value so much more since this Spring!! ### 4/5 — What happened to reviews? Still waiting... *2020-02-20, version 2.0.4* I have been loving Etree mobile since I stumbled across it 4-5 years ago! Not sure what changed recently, but reviews don’t seem to be loading correctly. Not a deal breaker, but once in a while you get shown the light... Anyway, you know the rest. Peace. Part 2.. Thanks for fixing Reviews! Maybe I didn’t notice before, (I doubt it) but there seems to be a cut between every song now... Still not a deal breaker, but... Part 3.. Reviews aren’t loading correctly since the lates iOS update. I blame Apple. I’m certain this will be addressed. It was pretty quick last time this issue arose. 👍🏻 ### 4/5 — Amazing app, use it all the time *2019-10-08, version 2.0.3* The app is great! I love it and use it all the time, my only wish is that there could be a share feature. There used to be one that would only share to Facebook but a share feature that would copy the url link from archive.org would be amazing and let people share to anywhere! Thanks again for the app! When trying to stream a show it either just hangs or if I’m listening to a show it shuts off when my iPhone XR goes back to the Home Screen or if I switch to a different app. You have to constantly restart your device. The recent updates have made it much more stable. One kind request would be to bring back the avg star rating for each show when scrolling and the reviews as I relied on that heavily to find some gems in the Grateful Dead collection. It would also be so amazing if somehow the fill info files could be linked to as those had some great data. Thank you! *2021-04-07, version 2.0.6* Many thanks to the developer, Dan, for taking the time build this app. Sure, it’s a little buggy with how it will crash if you attempt to search for an artist using the icon at the bottom of the interface but the search tool at the top works fine (just be sure to type a band’s name verbatim, e.g. bands that start with “The” do require starting with The ____). I am super grateful for having a convenient way to stream from this treasure trove of live music. ### 5/5 — Fantastic App, Dedicated Diligent Developer, ALL this and FREE!!! 12 stars *2020-07-26, version 2.0.6* July 13 - July 19 plus a day (July 20, 2020) for the Apple team to review and post in the Apple Apps Store Dear Dan, (7/20/20) When I checked the Apple Apps Store at 22:50, they now have 2.0.6. Eagerly, I touched the cloud-with-downward-arrow icon. Your app downloaded. Another touch opened it. It plays fantastically!! Of course it would/ does! That is how you have reengineered it: backward AND forward compatible. Perhaps, a piece of my enthusiasm includes some elements (no doubt, sown by previous experiences with compatibility issues [though NOT WITH YOU] — where updates to software or hardware required purchase of the other just to continue/ resume utilization of a process.) Perhaps it’s the “not missing the water... AND THEN HAVING THE WATER REURN(ED). I remember the conversation several years ago, when a casual acquaintance had made me aware of your app. I had made a point of getting back to that person to thank them for sharing awareness of its existence. Now, I realize AND MAKE AMENDS that I did not make at least equivalent effort to express appreciation to its creator for providing it for me and so many others. THANK YOU for having created this AND THEN for your insightful, diligent problem solving in nurturing it to ongoing accessibility. ALSO, THANK YOU for having kept me in the loop of your progress to address the issue. I can appreciate that the feedback is an important part of the improvement process. I travel for a living and use the download feature... being able to filter downloads and/or sort would be huge. Also, cannot seem to remove a download from my local list when desired. Those suggestions would enhance the use considerably.
