### 1/5 — Bad

*2021-08-22, version 1.1.12219*

Government should not make apps.

### 1/5 — This app is absolute trash

*2021-04-02, version 1.1.12219*

Title says it all

### 1/5 — Poor app

*2019-10-31, version 1.1.12219*

Trying to find a stop by navigating the map; does not
refresh with the stops in the area. That’s a pretty
simple database request. Get on it people.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2019-10-23, version 1.1.12219*

All I want is to enter an address and to go to and have the app tell me which stop to go to and which bus(es) to get on. Google can do it but a City of Edmonton transit app can’t?? Why am I not surprised.

### 2/5 — Barely works

*2019-10-11, version 1.1.12219*

If you know how to use the app and what to expect it's not completely terrible. That being said there's plenty of bugs, the times are really inconsistent and can change on the dime. I've missed so many busses because they'd show up way sooner than the estimated time. The ETS in general is just really bad and combined with the app it can be really frustrating.

### 1/5 — This app sucks

*2019-09-26, version 1.1.12219*

Really unintuitive.... deleting after review

### 1/5 — Just bad

*2019-03-19, version 1.1.12219*

This is a terrible app. Can’t even see route maps. The only way you can find anything is if you already know everything. Total failure

### 1/5 — Poor tracking and crashes often

*2019-02-05, version 1.1.12219*

Live feed says bus is about 5 minutes away, and almost every time I leave to head for the bus stop it’s always gone, I’ll hit refresh and it’ll be as if the bus’ live feed jump forward on the map a mile

This happens very frequently and when you it’s -33 outside it’s infuriating.

### 1/5 — No Trip Planner

*2019-01-19, version 1.0.81645*

Its useful for bus times and such but it doesn't have a feature to be able to set up a trip from where you are to your destination so essentially its useless might as well stick with ETS to go on the web or google maps

### 1/5 — not good

*2019-01-17, version 1.0.81645*

this app is probably the worst navigation app i’ve ever tried to use. it doesn’t tell you what bus to take, you can’t search a route on what buses to take to the location you’re trying to get to. absolute garbage.

### 1/5 — No trip planner?

*2018-11-30, version 1.0.81645*

What a useless app. Thought I would try out Edmonton transit and what a let down. The app doesn’t tell you what bus to take to get to your destination. It is not intuitive at all. If you want people to use transit it needs to be much easier than this.

### 1/5 — Not good at all just use google maps

*2018-11-01, version 1.0.81645*

It’s a very weird app and honestly google maps is way better just use google maps because you could check ets bus routes on their easier and faster.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time

*2018-10-09, version 1.0.81645*

Honestly not even worth the 5 second download, Very awkward app and not at all even close to being functional. Just use trip planner on the web.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2018-09-04, version 1.0.81645*

The app is terrible, whoever made should be ashamed of themselves

### 1/5 — Not great

*2018-08-28, version 1.0.81645*

It’s not intuitive at all

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — TakeETS.com

*2025-05-27, version 1.1.12219*

TakeETS.com is in the link section of this app but there is no direction given to use this feature. Wish the trip planning was actually inside the app, if it is already, I don’t see it. Also, the C of E website talks about an app that integrates On Demand service…is that supposed to be this app? I can’t attach a screenshot here but it says “If you want to plan a trip that includes a connection between On Demand
Transit and the regular transit network, the third-party Transit app will provide options.” ….but the link to the app is empty. People should know though, on demand service is unavailable in most of the city.

### 1/5 — Shameful

*2023-10-07, version 1.1.12219*

This is taxpayers money out to poor use. Who’s responsible? Ultimately the public is for not holding administration and elected officials responsible.

I wish there was a “fire individual” button… developers, project mangers, designers, ETS management, anyone who might be proud of being involved in such a poor product. “We tried” shouldn’t be an excuse to build something so awful.

The City of Edmonton doesn’t provide a decent way to provide decent, constructive feedback (ever try 311, or the 311 app) for anything that truly affects the citizens.

I was born in Edmonton and am ashamed I live here. Does this app represent the City? What if we thought about each civic project as a reflection of who we are? How could we give citizens pride in the place the call home? What if there was true consultation and innovation?

“Go Flames!” might get council and admin and the developers of this junk motivated to better?

### 1/5 — So bad

*2023-06-05, version 1.1.12219*

Literally the most useless app out there. Get it together ETS or hire someone who knows what they are doing. 🙄🙄🙄

### 1/5 — Not user friendly

*2023-04-04, version 1.1.12219*

Yet another transit fail for the city

### 1/5 — unreliable

*2022-12-09, version 1.1.12219*

asss

### 1/5 — Useless app

*2022-08-19, version 1.1.12219*

I am not a frequent user of ETS. I downloaded the app to know how to get from my south side home to WEM. The app did not allow me to correct my current location and not give accurate information about possible bus routes. While walking along 23 ave a bus going to WEM passed by. That route was not available to me from the app. Frustrating. I’ll drive my electric car there instead.

### 1/5 — More wasted money

*2021-09-21, version 1.1.12219*

The trip planner used to work great, just type in a address or a corner and away you go, tells you which bus and route options you have, even showed you a map, done. This! Only displays half the address that is where, the other side of the city? No one knows. This has got to be the biggest waste of money yet, completely useless app, doesn’t matter if you go to the website, same thing. So city council wasted millions more dollars on changing all the routes, the bus numbers, the trip planner, so now you are left completely blind with no way to plan or figure out a trip where it used to be easy and convenient. Embarrassing. Wasting tax payer money like this should be punishable by imprisonment, maybe every time they waste money like this it should come out of city councils pay check, things would all of a sudden be done right every time at the absolute minimal cost with no constant waste of money over and over and over and over or show boating. This app, courtesy of the criminals who call themselves “leaders”. I have no idea now how to plan a trip tomorrow morning for 5:30am, it’s 9:30pm now, what the hell do I do now? Watch city council continue to pat themselves on the back, might as well take your next pay raise now, you haven’t earned it, just like the last half a decade.

### 1/5 — Good for nothing

*2021-09-18, version 1.1.12219*

Why am I not surprised that this city can’t even have an app that works. Andrew Knack must have designed this POS!

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2021-09-04, version 1.1.12219*

Unless you know exactly what you are looking for, the app is useless. Make it like your website with the “trip planner” option.

### 1/5 — No trip planning capability

*2021-08-28, version 1.1.12219*

With no trip planning capability over multiple routes, this app is completely useless.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Kevin

*2020-11-08, version 1.1.12219*

Far much better than google maps but only If you know how to use it.

### 5/5 — Patient then boom

*2018-09-06, version 1.0.81645*

It was my first time going on the bus, so to make it easier I downloaded this app. It took me a bit to figure out how it works but after that I feel more confident when I go on the bus👍👍👍

### 5/5 — Great App

*2016-12-23, version 1.0.7805*

Personally, I think it's a great app. I don't know why many people don't like it. The app doesn't crush. It has all the routes including LRT. It has all the maps of routes. You also can see the estimated time of the bus. If you only want to know the time of the bus, the app is quick and easy.

### 5/5 — Review

*2016-11-15, version 1.0.7805*

This app is just what I was looking for . Give me accurate timing and all the necessary information for LRT and bus stops 👍

### 5/5 — Excellent and accurate!

*2016-11-07, version 1.0.7805*

I use this app everyday in conjunction with google maps to plan trips. It is efficient, accurate and simple to use.

### 5/5 — Good app

*2014-12-18*

Very good and clean app. Always gave me the proper buses to take!

### 4/5 — It works

*2021-09-14, version 1.1.12219*

That’s all. It’s a functional and useful app

### 4/5 — very convenient . great app

*2019-11-16, version 1.1.12219*

ETS has done a wonderful job with this App. The convenience outways the one issue with ‘map view’, where the current bus position appears to be a snapshot and not a live tracking of the bus on its route. However, a simple four button sequence i use solves this issue; itemized below. The one key is knowing the bus route # will speed up your searches. And the ‘saved’ route option is a great feature.

For those who care to know, and until the Dev team figures it out, do this

1. while in [view map] mode, click the back arrow (top right)
2. then click the ‘refresh’ button to the right of the date line
3. go back into [view map] mode.
4. reselect your route arrival time

Presto, the current bus position is updated.

Love and use this app regularly. Now we just need the LRT added!

### 4/5 — it’s not that bad 💀

*2019-11-07, version 1.1.12219*

everyone hates this app but i’ve used this app for over 3 years and it’s only ever messed with me once or twice. it’s pretty accurate with when the bus comes and nearby stops are easy to find. it’s really useful when you know how to use the app

### 3/5 — The app is good, but lacking

*2016-01-07, version 1.0.7805*

This app will tell you when the buses comes and goes, but you will have to add the location stop of your buses before you know their time. So if you are new to the city, i will suggest you to use google map instead. Lacking: when are you planning to add the LRTs time on this???
