It is quite useful for its intended purpose.

Here is a quick example:
Geben: from middle high german geben, from old high german geban, from proto west germanic geban, etc..
Akin to middle low german geven, durch geven, middle dutch gheven, English give, old english giefan, swedish, danish, old saxon.. etc
And more.

There does seem to some oddities with capitalization in searching. For example it wont show up if you capitalize or dont capitalize or it will show slightly different results, but it still works well.

This seems like a really great app with lots of features. I have no issues with ad-supported apps, but the ads that come up all have audio. It’s loud and jarring and ruins the experience.

I enjoy etymology and was very excited upon discovering this app. When attempting to purchase a lifetime membership, something went wrong. Perhaps it was a problem with my internet connection? I continued to attempt purchase, as there is a timer counting down to receive 50% off. Now it appears that I have the Annual Membership as opposed to the Lifetime Membership! But I do have the charge for the lifetime membership recorded on my credit card for reference. I would love to update my review once this issue is completely resolved.

Seemed to have useful potential until frequent interruption by video advertising. I have no problems with developers using advertising to fund their projects, but long video ads disrupt to the point of being impractical

When Webster Dictionary app wants to (intentionally) not provide definitions and or detailed descriptions, and you get tired of just Googling everything, this app lets you save words so it is easy to review when needed/wanted.
