## Most critical reviews (8 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Download issue

*2023-02-12*

I live in an area of limited internet service. I have spent over 6 hrs downloading images for use in field, which only got 50% done. When I was able too I tried to finish the download only to find I had to start from scratch AGAIN. It’s using most of my download allowance and still I have nothing to use in the field. There has to be a better way…

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2022-02-22*

Impossible to use the keys. They lead you to the wrong tree every time.

### 3/5 — Great app, but needs improvement

*2026-03-29*

Needs clearer photos, some trees are harder to identify due to the poor images or lack of images

### 3/5 — Good reference with some bugs

*2023-06-14*

Great way to identify eucalypts in the field, but only useful when you have mobile data available. After multiple attempts I’ve given up on actually getting the imagery to download and stay available offline, but would really appreciate being able to do so. It would be ideal if this could happen in the background, too! For some reason it only seems to partially work when the app is left open with my phone unlocked, but even then it’s unreliable.

### 3/5 — Downloads constantly removed?

*2023-03-03*

The downloading of >8000 photos which are needed to identify characteristics of the species are constantly removed and required to re-download. Also there is no search function.

Otherwise a very useful app for when you have reception.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2025-01-30*

Excellent app aiding the difficult task of identifying eucalyptus. It assisted me on many on occasion.

### 5/5 — Great app. Good value.

*2020-10-23*

Easy to use. Tested on five known Tas species - easy results.

### 5/5 — Very expensive but excellent reference

*2020-03-30*

Impressive app, the information is 5 stars but the app implementation and user experience needs a little work. Love the offline downloads for field identification. Would love an option to search by species or common name rather than scrolling the alphabetical listing of fact sheets. Also handy feature would be to narrow search by flowering month or season. The splash screen takes too long to clear, and there’s no way to skip it.
