Because I used Apple Pay and my email is different then the one I used to make an account with eufy I never received the service. You would think this would be a quick fix. Not!! Now they are telling me they can’t refund me because I paid with Apple Pay 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ ### 1/5 — Rubbish on ipad and Pan & Tilt indoor camera *2026-08-25, version 6.0.80* If you have a Pan & Tilt camera DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS UPDATE. They have totally destroyed the User Interface. It is now a total pita to use. Good luck finding the Playback button also. This is what happens when they sack all their developers and get AI to redesign it, just like Spotify did to iPad users. Why did you have to fix what was not broken!!!! ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2026-08-24, version 6.0.80* I just switched from eufy to Arlo. Something happened with eufy and they just don’t seem to know how to write a decent app anymore. Especially with their geofencing which has been “in beta” for years. It just doesn’t work well. The eufy app is unintuitive and unreliable. The Arlo app is a breath of fresh air. Very intuitive. Can have schedules plus geofencing at the same time, which you can’t with eufy. And eufy geofencing doesn’t work most of the time anyway. Arlo’s works all of the time. Wish I figured this out before buying so many eufy cameras. But the frustration just isn’t worth it, and they are going in the trash. ### 1/5 — Needs an App Update *2026-08-24, version 6.0.80* Like everyone else, my cameras keep disconnecting or instantly randomising the settings I select for them for my security modes on the smart tab. Only since the recent app update. This is a serious safety issue since the cameras I need on overnight and when I’m not at home keep disconnecting ### 1/5 — DONT BUY, read on… *2026-08-24, version 6.0.80* Multiple issues made me wish I hadn’t invested in Eufy: Bad app - spammed by in-app advertising. Very slow notifications (up to 20 minutes later) - This seems to be a common theme looking at other users feedback. Slow response providing video ‘decrypting’ after alert meaning 2 way conversation often not possible. Again a common theme. Single point of failure, steal or damage camera = total loss of footage. ‘Closed system’ - ie there’s no third party integration eg IFTTT Poor audio - audio compression sounds like the user is underwater. Two way push to talk is button slow to respond. ### 2/5 — recent app update made S4 view worse, not better *2026-08-23, version 6.0.80* The latest eufy Security app update has made the S4 live view significantly less useful on iPad. Previously, the PTZ/movable camera could occupy the full screen while the fixed camera appeared as a small picture-in-picture window, and I could easily switch between the two views. Now the two S4 camera views are forced into equal-sized split-screen panels, with no visible way to make either camera full-screen or customize the layout. This is especially frustrating on an iPad, where there is plenty of screen space. Please restore the previous picture-in-picture/full-screen functionality—or at least provide a setting allowing users to choose how the two S4 cameras are displayed. After nearly 6 months, my wife and I are still unable to create an account. The app requires email verification via PIN. No matter how many times I go through the verification the codes emailed never work. I purchased the smart lock with the camera—model E330, I believe—and it is a paperweight disguised as a security device. It will not connect to your Wi-Fi unless you also buy their overpriced home base. That is not a technical limitation; that is a calculated trap designed to force you into purchasing more of their inadequate equipment. I know this because I have been dealing with these very same connectivity failures since their earlier models. Those wouldn't connect to my home internet either. The only reason I even own this newer version is because, after countless emails and formal complaints, the company reluctantly threw me a 30% discount as a pity gesture. I fell for it. Do not make my mistake. This device does not do the bare minimum. It is not smart. It is not reliable. And frankly, I would not trust it to guard a closet, let alone my family's safety. This company is deeply flawed, and so is every product they sell. I am telling you once, and I will not repeat myself: do not buy this. Do not trust this brand with your home, your data, or your loved ones. Anker support…who takes 2-3 days to respond, says “we have reviewed the test results and can confirm that there have been instances of false triggers”. So what do they do?…they ask me repeatedly to keep sending them false notification videos …”to better understand and resolve the issue”. Why dont they set up THEIR OWN TESTS???? AND…the video it does record catches HALF of the event of the vehicle driving by. Go elsewhere for a security system…this one doesnt work and they don’t seem to be too interested in reproducing this themselves and fixing it. Update: Continuous ads every time you open the app. Does poorly with shadows notifying its a human. App info says app nay use your location even when not open?!?! Why is eufy spying on people unknowingly?? ### 1/5 — App sucks! *2026-08-27, version 6.0.90* Using the app for a robot vacuum and all it does is go up and down the hall way, but the map shows that it has been in other rooms. This is the most useless app! I still use the older app, eufy clean, and that works fine. Thanks for nothing. For example, the user could set AI Tracking to remain off during the day, so the camera does not constantly move and track people in a way that could make neighbors uncomfortable, and automatically turn on at night. They gave me a used different model when sent it in for repair thank God for Amazon extended warranties I paid for.They paid me out for the price a paid for the unit just because this I may not buy another vacuum from this company. One of four cams linked- only me so doing one at a time. All working fine. Easy to set up, easy to set cam observation active area/s everything works really well. Come to find out there were many complaints & lawsuits in California about that exact issue. I love Eufy because I don’t have a monthly subscription, I’m in control if I choose. The videos have saved me several times. I can not Speak highly enough about Eufy.
