Ive been to 250+ coffeeshops in 90 days of travel between several trips This app is great for finding great coffee around different parts of a city. It’s so fun to go on mini adventures around a new city/country with coffeeshops as the reward at the end - providing caffeine to push me to the next destination I stay at hostels and on several occasions have gotten other travelers into specialty coffee by suggesting a 3km walk to a coffeeshops on the outskirts of the city. Nothing beats taking some dumb detour through a forest for 5km to have brunch+coffee with newfound friends. This is my FAVORITE app when I travel, I can’t enjoy a destination properly if theres no listed coffee spots on the app. Thank you to the devs, barista, and barista-devs behind ECT! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Nur noch durchschnittlich *2026-03-23* Cafés werden mE mittlerweile inflationär in die Liste aufgenommen. Die letzten getesteten Cafés haben leider den bis dahin gesammelten (positiven) Erfahrungen nicht im geringsten Stand gehalten. ### 2/5 — Viele Cafés fehlen *2026-05-05* Nach welchen Kriterien entscheidet ihr, welches Café bei euch mit auf die Liste kommt? Gerade in Italien, dem Land der Espresso und Cappuccinos gibt es so viele tolle Cafés, die hier gar nicht aufgeführt sind, speziell die Autogrills entlang der Autobahn sind immer ein Besuch wert und machen echt tollen Kaffee. ### 2/5 — Viel zu teuer, wenig Mehrwert *2021-10-29* Leider ist die App mit 4,99 VIEL zu teuer. Überwiegend findet man Cafes in großen Metropolen. Viele Städte sind far nicht zu finden. Ich habe unzählige gute Locations (unter anderem auch Berlin) nicht gefunden… Ansonsten bietet die App leider auch so gut wie keine Features. Wenn ich Gießen eingebe, bekomme ich nichts angezeigt, obwohl 4 Röstereien in unmittelbarer Nähe sind. Kein Filter für Rösterei. Das kann man auch leicht über eine Karten App machen. Specifically, the lack of “open at specific time and day” functionality is something that makes me choose other apps instead. I think it would be easy to implement having that there is already “open now” filter. Would appreciate it very much! ### 4/5 — Good app with space for improvements *2022-08-01* I am a big fan of European Coffee Trip and really like the idea of the concept of the app. I travel a lot so it’s a super handy tool. Only downsides for me are the somewhat clunky user experience, the lack of images (I don’t go to a coffee shop if I don’t see how it looks like), and finally the lack of a rating system that shows you the top ten stores in a city. Right now i am in a situation where I have often one day in a city and just want to check out 2 of the „must-see“ stores and the app does currently not help me with that.
