When you complete the grammar included in your chosen level, Learn offers the next level and keeps all of your existing vocabulary. The imperative is now taught and drilled in Learn, right after the present subjunctive it is built from. On Mac, switching to Translate Text no longer changes the size of the app window. ### 2.6.0 — 2026-08-15 Grammar now explains why a form is what it is, rather than only showing you the form, and the verb-form matrix is written out cell by cell in teaching order with a rule for each one. The app opens somewhere useful for a new learner, every tab and window keeps its own place, and lists sort the way Portuguese sorts. A large conjugation accuracy pass: vowel-stem verbs, e-raising verbs and the -uzir family now conjugate by rule, compounds of pôr get a full paradigm, and chegue and fique are spelled properly. Ninety-five verbs now match the reference, and around a hundred and twenty words were re-tagged to the right part of speech. Faster start-up, and faster answers in a Daily Lesson. ### 2.5.1 — 2026-08-03 Learn now varies the kind of exercise through a lesson, rather than asking the same kind of question several times in a row. Grammar in Learn takes one verb form at a time and shows you the rule for that form before the drill. Fixed a daily lesson that could get stuck with nothing to tap when there were too few words left to build a multiple-choice question. Choosing a voice now tells you that Portuguese appears twice in the system voice list, so you can pick the European voice rather than the Brazilian one. ### 2.5.0 — 2026-07-29 This release adds Translate Text, a new tool in the Reference menu. Type or paste English or Portuguese into either pane, and translate it the other way with a single tap, for anything the dictionary doesn't cover. You'll also get a heads-up right inside the app whenever a newer version is available on the App Store, with a button to update in a single tap. ### 2.4.0 — 2026-07-22 Learn is our new daily study companion. Each day it builds a short lesson of new vocabulary and grammar, blended with review, sized to a pace you pick, with an optional daily reminder to keep your streak going. Lookup brings the dictionary and the conjugator together. Search any word or verb and you get one complete entry: its meaning, its word family, real example sentences, and, for verbs, the full conjugation table, all on one screen. Share a word or phrase with anyone as a link. Reflexive and pronominal verbs are now fully supported: they conjugate with the right pronoun for each person, with a Grammar topic explaining how they work and a practice drill of their own. Also in this release: A one-time age check reveals potentially vulgar or offensive definitions for anyone 16 or older. Open an inflected or agreement form and it now tells you which word it is a form of, with that base word one tap away, instead of repeating the base word's full definition. Searching a word that is not a verb in Lookup now points you to its dictionary entry, instead of building a conjugation for a word that has none. However you reach a word, from your vocabulary or by tapping it inside another entry, you now get the same complete entry as the dictionary.
