If I had not purchased it, I would be missing out on a real gem!! This game is just as fun (if not more so) than Risk... But comparing it to Risk doesn't do it justice. The different units with their individual strengths and weaknesses really add to the strategic element. And rather than collecting a set of cards to buy more units, you need to really think about where you want to build factories. Too close to the front, and you could lose it, too far from the front, and you won't be able to reinforce your armies in time. This is a very well thought out and designed game. I know it is one I will visit for many years to come. As far as the weakness in the gaming instructions/tutorial, that can be easily remedied. Just outsource it via Craig'slist... There are tons of talented but unemployed technical writers out there who would do it for you without charging a ton of money. Bottom line, GREAT game! It is also kinda quirky in that often when you take over a country it flashes a "failure" message which makes no sense. There are no meaningful instructions for how battles are resolved or how your money increases so you have no idea how to plan a strategy. The amount of money you gain each round jumps up and down for no apparent reason. The game is pretty much unplayable or at least un-endable because you will find yourself waiting a long time while the computer does it turns. It looks good at first but after a few hours you see that the game has no real substance. It just goes on and on forever. ### 2/5 — Potential *2020-03-25, version 1.7* During an attack, you can only use 5 units, you can decrease the number of units attacking, but not increase so your entire force attacks. Meaning if you have an army of 100 tanks, attacking 50 tanks, only 5 of your tanks attack. Making for very drawn out attacks, and making it almost impossible to defeat any enemy’s capital without air strikes. This is a deal breaker for me. ### 2/5 — Game is EXTREMELY unbalanced *2012-05-29, version 1.5* I was playing as turkey on conquest and every time Germany attacks with tank units he always completely destroys my units normally three times in a row. Using 5 tanks he destroyed 24 tanks of mine. I also lost 20 tanks just to kill 1 of his. As I was playing the campaign I couldn’t restart that level I hade to do the whole captain again to get back to the level I was on. So if I found a strategy I had to do the whole campaign.
