I always have difficulty booking. The app does not give me an option to select a day and time when selecting services. Also, I’ve noticed an uptick in ingrown hairs. Prior to booking with EWC, I’ve never had such an issue with ingrowns. I’m assuming it’s either cheap wax or the specialist is not following waxing procedures.

The app is pretty basic, and mostly gets the job done. However, it is still lacking the ability to reschedule or cancel an appointment, which is frustrating. You can’t go all in on how this app is a game changer, and that it will help with scheduling, but then I still have to call to rebook, etc. please look into adding this feature.

I thought it must be a glitch but then I came to the App Store to check if there was an update and several reviews mentioning the loss of rescheduling. That’s the majority of why I have the app. EWC is becoming less and less appealing 😒

I have to agree with an earlier comment about the recent issue not being able to reschedule upcoming appointments in the app. If this feature isn't available, the app loses most of its value to me. I go every 3-4 weeks depending on what events I have coming up, and I like to be able to move it quickly if my plans change. I REALLY miss this easy scheduling feature.

I have been using the app for years and love how easy it is to schedule and reschedule appointments. However, for the past week, I have not been able to reschedule my appointment and ended up having to call. I tried deleting the app and downloading it again, but it’s still not working so the app has lost its functionality for what I was primarily using it for.

This app has a lot of issues and it’s frustrating to use.  

Booking the appointment is easy and that’s about it. 

You can’t see you appointment for make changes from the app.  You have to call the location which is sometimes impossible when you’re busy or the location is busy.   The app should give the customer more control  over their appointment.  

You can’t even see when your appointment is scheduled so if you forget you have to call which again is not user friendly for someone who works and can’t spend time on the phone want their coworkers to know you made a waxing appointment or need to make changes.  

It’s a waste of space on my phone and I only keep it to make appointments knowing I’ll be stuck calling in case I need to make any adjustments.

Sadly this app (and the website) have major issues all the time. Half the time it doesn't show I have any appointments scheduled when I actually do, and the other half of the time it doesn't update that the appointment is over - so it just sits in the open reservations section. Also, it constantly tells you that you haven't signed the consent forms nor checked in, even if you already have... it's very frustrating. Moreover, the EWC rewards section doesn't notify you if you have reward money to use, so they'll just expire without you ever being able to use them.

I haven’t had too many issues using this app, it’s pretty easy to book, reschedule, or cancel appointments. However I just updated to the latest version and yet keep receiving a prompt to “upgrade to the latest version for improved features”. I’m unable to make an appointment or even see available time slots. Please fix!

I tried to reschedule an appointment within the app, there was a long delay and then the appointment disappeared completely from the app. I called the EWC location that I go to for rescheduling and the appointment still does not show in the app. What’s the point in having this app if it serves no purpose?

I have been a customer for several years now, and I always use the app instead of the website or calling for booking. It’s easy also for same day appointments. I’ve not had any issues with the app glitching or failing to schedule the appointment. I’ve booked moments before going as well and it’s already in their system before I arrive. I feel like the interface is also very user friendly to navigate and is easy to find what looking for. It’s also very easy to view schedule and services. And it’s quick to go through the process which I appreciate.

I've been a long time user of the app. I don't have complaints as it works smoothly! But there is an idea that should be considered:

Often times I choose "any specialist" since my schedule is crazy. Sometimes, the last specialist I had turns out to be very good, so of course I'd want to book them again. The issue is, I'm bad with names and sometimes they will have the same name! And there's no real difference on the app since they do not share info on the employee (which is right to do). This leads me to call the location itself to ask who it was and if they can book me again. I would be grateful if the app had a way of telling me who my last specialist was when I go to book another appointment.

TLDR: would it be possible to show who your last stylist was when you go to book another reservation? To book another appointment with them without having to call?

I’m back to update this review from one star to five! After a year of living with the stripped-down app that had all our favorite functionality taken away, EWC finally truly upgraded the app experience to what it should be. It’s a good thing, too, because if these reviews are any indication, the entire user base was furious and frustrated. Thanks for making good on the promise to deliver a better app...maybe just don’t make us wait so long next time?

I got waxed from Zyn, was my first experience not bad at all. She explained I needed to exfoliate 3 times a week, and make sure to put lotion and light oils on my private and between my crack lol. I got the Brazilian wax. Didn’t hurt much I would say a 4 and maybe because my hair was long and I wasn’t moisturized so other than that probably would’ve hurt at a 2 out of 10, with 10 being the worse, so not too bad. Go for it ! Ask for Zyn, she’s nice, and talked to me the whole time, explaining eveything, and why I should do this and that. Also not judgmental so I recommend her to new comers or anyone whose been going but never got a Brazilian, she’s the one you should request ! Tell her Tiara Ford went you!

With all that has been going on the world, it was a pleasant surprise to finally see EWC slowly start to open again. It has been over a month since I have been able to get a wax and I knew because of this, it was not going to be as smooth sailing as usual. To my surprise, Cody did an excellent job making it as painless as possible. She made my experience all the more enjoyable and I will definitely be going back to her in the future.

Today was my first time waxing the Netherlands as I’ve always been too scared of waxing. I don’t like hair so I’ve been shaving for many years. I finally decided to try waxing on the recommendation of a friend and I’m sold! Samantha at the Dorchester location was amazing! I thought it would be an uncomfortable experience, but we chatted and felt at ease the entire time. I’ve already scheduled my next appointment. If you are in the Dorchester area, or not, please schedule an appointment with Samantha! She is VERY thorough and you will not be disappointed!

Veronica at the front desk was also very pleasant. She was very personable and made me feel welcomed. 

Overall, my experience was more than I expected! Thank you ladies!

I can’t say enough nice things about EWC and my local salon. The front staff is always friendly and helpful in product information. The salon is immaculate. My wax specialist Amanda is a dream. We talk, laugh and really connected from day one. And she’s very knowledgeable in what products work best for my skin and issues. Which brings me to EWC products: absolutely love them. Having sensitive skin I find using products for even sensitive skin can cause issues. Not one time did I experience that with EWC products. And the products actually deliver with their claims. My only regret??? Not having taken the plunge sooner.

FINALLY I feel like I found the PERFECT person for my waxing needs. Mary took her time to explain her technique, she asked about any preferences and any bad prior experiences I may have had with waxing. She worked systematically and let me know why she uses this technique.  When she waxed my nostrils she was soo quick that it was near painless!  I feel that I was truly blessed to have been placed with Mary especially with no appointment and being a walk in!  She even told me to try and wait the same amount of time before I came back because I waited around 13 weeks but the results r better the longer u wait between visits, when I tipped her, Mary was soo humble!! Thanks Mary for the best waxing experience EVER!!!💜

Destiny did awesome job with full bikini wax. What even more better is that she is able to sign ASL which mean full accessibility for me to have communication with staff! She was able to interpret for front desk staff in order to receive information and questions to ask me. Destiny made everything so comfortable and able to communicate with me via ASL to explain in details of what she is doing with me regarding to have bikini wax. It is nice to be able to talk with her at ease without frustrating and communication barrier. I highly recommend you who are deaf clients to book appointment with her . Her name is Destiny Borrero and it is in Fresh Meadows, NY.
