## What is EV Chargebook?

EV Chargebook Pro is the complete charging log for your electric vehicle — for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, with built-in intelligence. Log every charge, keep an eye on your costs and let Intelligence handle the rest.

EV Chargebook Intelligence
The heart of the app: Intelligence learns from your charging history and fills in fields automatically — charger type, connector, provider, energy, cost, duration and more. Stations within 5 km appear as chips with the provider detected automatically. Weather is captured automatically as you charge.

Logging a Charge
Energy (kWh), cost, duration, state of charge (SOC), location, provider, AC/DC connectors, notes, tags and odometer. Record the peak power reached and the charger's rated power separately. Quick Start begins instantly — with no selection, the charge opens automatically after 3 seconds.

Quick Start from Apple Watch
Start a charge right from your wrist: pick the battery level with the Digital Crown and go. Your iPhone fills in location, provider and charger type via Intelligence. The watch shows the running session with a live timer.

Dashboard
Monthly overview with kWh, cost, sessions and averages. Intelligence score at a glance. Calendar with a charging heatmap and an expandable day-detail card. Smart insights, combustion-engine comparison, 30+ charging networks detected automatically. Reorder cards by drag, share your monthly stats as an image.

Charging Sessions
Full charging history, grouped by month, with a score ring in the list. Sorting, filtering and tap-to-expand for every detail. When needed, delete all charging sessions at once — with an automatic backup and a double confirmation.

Trip Log
Trips with type, start and destination, odometer, purpose, notes and tags. Quick Start with GPS, address autocomplete and automatic route calculation.

Charging Tariffs
Manage your tariffs — price per kWh and per minute, session and blocking fees, and subscriptions. Validity periods and auto-fill from the Chargeprice database. When you complete a session, the app compares the actual cost with your tariff.

Data Backup
Automatic backups (before every update and daily), restore with a content preview, import your own backups and mirror to iCloud Drive. Choose how long backups are kept.

Vehicles
1 vehicle free — with photo, model, battery capacity and AC/DC connectors (preselected automatically when you charge).

iPad
Native iPad app with a sidebar and split view: browse your sessions and trips on the left, see every detail on the right — including a route map for trips.

General
iCloud sync across all your devices (including combustion-comparison values) · German and English · Dark, Light and Automatic · 6 accent colors

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.9.0 — 2026-08-26

New: Where your energy came from — split every charge across solar, battery and grid, and the cost follows
The app estimates the sunny part from the charging window, the sun and the weather
Your prices for solar, battery and grid live in Settings
Import your split as a CSV from your solar system, plus a „Set split" shortcut
New in Analytics: „Where the energy came from" with energy, cost and savings per source
Dashboard and large widget show this month's self-sufficiency
Your CO₂ balance now counts your own energy
New: A community around driving electric
Fixed: Number fields replace their content instead of appending
Fixed: Pro stays Pro, with or without a connection
Fixed: „Restore purchases" now tells you what it found

### 2.8.5 — 2026-08-22

Fix: The app no longer freezes after launch
Fix: Waiting for iCloud could block the app for up to 25 seconds
Improved: Daily backup is many times faster with lots of charging sessions
Improved: A failing or stuck backup no longer locks up the app
Thanks to everyone who sent crash reports — they finally made the cause findable

### 2.8.4 — 2026-08-21

New: Historical fuel prices in the petrol comparison, every trip costed at the price of its own month, 32 countries
New: Pick your country and fuel, plus a per-litre surcharge for grades like premium
New: The comparison right where you log a charge, what the distance would have cost in a petrol car
New: Your own price per litre for a single charge
New: Launch diagnostics in Settings show how far your recent app launches got
Fix: Widgets could sit on old figures for days, they now update on every save
Fix: If your data can't be opened at launch, the app no longer quits, it offers to try again

### 2.8.3 — 2026-08-08

Your own price per kWh for individual charges — for time-based tariffs, roaming or special rates. Your saved tariff stays unchanged.

Clearer costs in analytics: driving cost and actual spending are now shown separately.

CSV export for a date range you choose instead of your whole history.

Deleted backups stay deleted. The recovery prompt can be dismissed for good.

New in the design preview: EV Journey Replay — your charging history as an animated recap, shareable as an image or video. Single charges can be shared as an image.

### 2.8.2 — 2026-08-01

Charging locations can now be set directly on the map: tap a nearby station or place the point yourself — the address is filled in automatically.

While logging, the suggested stations now come from two sources and are noticeably more complete, including the small ones at supermarkets and car parks. The map opens full height, loads whatever lies in the section you pan to, and shows the operators' logos.

In "Charging Locations & Position" you now see every session logged at a location and can open it right there.

The CSV import shows which columns were detected and how many charging locations will result — and it separates locations that share a name but sit far apart, instead of merging them.

Requests and bug reports now live together in the public portal — in Settings under "Features & Bugs".

New in the design preview: the charging map with all your locations, filters and a ranking list. Dashboard, analytics and sessions are now laid out for iPad there too.

Plus numerous fixes around charging locations, maps and import.
