You can cancel that after a week and use non premium features. The problem with this is that you need to subscribe to try out the app. With many other apps out there I’m not willing to add another subscription that I need to track so I decided not to continue using this app. When you buy a new ev or plugin hybrid these days you have to test out multiple apps, there are apps with the car itself, and it just is too much to add another subscription on top just to try out a charging app. ### 2/5 — Hard to use *2025-03-19, version 3.2.2* There are free versions better than this app ### 1/5 — Sneaky *2025-01-14, version 3.2.1* Although this app claims to be free it doesn’t let you try it without signing up for an expensive version (with a one week free trial). ### 1/5 — Missing charging networks *2024-12-26, version 3.2.0* App is missing Electrify America. It couldn’t create a 300 mile route that ABRP was able to create with the same parameters and networks selected. ### 1/5 — Broken App *2024-12-19, version 3.2.0* Installed, configured, crashed and will immediately closes when attempting to run now. ### 1/5 — Useless Predators *2024-12-07, version 3.2.0* 3rd world ‘legal’ scam, they make their money purely off of unintended subscriptions that is why they refuse to extend proper customer service. This service in no way is worth any charge, nice try on the booster ‘reviews’. ### 1/5 — Scam *2024-11-24, version 3.2.0* The subscription hits your credit card before you realize that the application is USELESS and contains less information than “FREE” Google Maps. Don’t waste your time with this app. No customer support option either. Pay Tesla, Shell, EV go, Electrify America membership directly. Google gives more for free than this scam. ### 1/5 — Very misleading *2024-11-18, version 3.2.0* This is just an app to help you find EV stations. It does nothing more than Google or Apple Maps already does and not only charges you a subscription but forces you to subscribe before even seeing what it is. ### 3/5 — Short sighted *2024-11-17, version 3.2.0* This app sounds good in principle its weakness is the ability to see further then a mile from you intended path to see faster or more reliable charging stations. Case in point Portland to Boise has on i84 it skips a fast charger in Hermiston, Oregon at a Walmart that is only slightly out of route, for a level two charger that will take 7 hours and 45 minutes to complete a charge to 90% ### 1/5 — Won’t load *2024-11-09, version 3.2.0* I downloaded the app, paid for a year subscription and when it came time to plan my trip it wouldn’t load. The app froze. Deleted and reinstalled it twice. I am done. Moving on to another app. ### 1/5 — Why try *2024-11-07, version 3.2.0* I avoid any app that makes you sign up and give them a credit card to find out how it works. From the description I get nothing. If I could try it free for a day then signup I might try it. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work. *2024-11-06, version 3.2.0* Had three main issues that made the app useless. When you download there is no way to use without signing up to the trial. Now I have wasted the trial as I wanted to look at the app before I needed to use it in the real world. The 2nd problem is that chargers only show when you zoom in really close. Making finding a charger impossible. The 3rd and probably the most important. The routing doesn’t work. I tried to plan a test journey and it crashes the app and it just freezes when it is “optimising” the route. There is no way the rating for this app is real. ### 1/5 — Frustrating App *2024-11-01, version 3.2.0* So, you immediately get prompted for a subscription. That’s annoying right off the bat. Then, you can get access to the free features after subscribing and canceling. All of this so the developer can hang onto your money, and draw interest, for the months it will take for a refund? If features are free, just provide them. I understand that premium features require a subscription, and I’m fine with that. Just don’t charge me to get access to the free stuff when I can’t even tell if the app is any good in the first place. Totally stupid model. ### 1/5 — Can’t use it without subscribing *2024-10-26, version 3.2.0* If there’s a free version, I should be able to use it from the start. The forced subscription garbage has to stop. I can’t believe Apple even approved this. ### 1/5 — Can’t cancel SUBSCRIPTION *2024-09-28, version 3.1.3* I downloaded this app by mistake, but I didn’t notice it until I’d already paid for a subscription. There appears to be no way to cancel it. Their terms say go to the phones settings, but there’s no option there. ### 1/5 — Not free *2024-09-12, version 3.1.2* Have to sign up to the trial of the “premium” version of the app to even get past the start screen. This should be banned by Apple. Uninstalled straight away. ### 1/5 — Didn’t work with Electrify America *2024-08-04, version 3.1.1* The App didn’t work for me while trying to use it with the Electrify America chargers. The basic function of “charging” was not easily available. I desperation to make the connection with the car work, I accepted the trial and was charged for a full year ($60). Their contact page only has a contact form, no customer service number, no chat. I hope their new version has an upgrade and that they improve their customer service. ### 1/5 — Lures you into yearly subscription- not much use *2024-08-03, version 3.1.1* Just bought an EV and got a bunch of apps to try out for finding chargers. This is the only one that lures you into a yearly subscription for 59 bucks. What for? No idea. Plenty of apps out there to give you info on public chargers for free. Just glad I managed to cancel right at the last day of my one week trial. ### 1/5 — No Way to Start Charge *2024-08-03, version 3.1.1* I’ve had 3 electric cars in the last 12 years, so I’ve had to download many apps for many charging stations. Some are dead simple to use, some are broken, some are complicated and you have to actually call someone on the phone to setup an account. This one seemed to only show your location and how to map to other charging station. The charging station had a QR code that only sent the numbers for the stationID to my phone. The app had no place for entering an ID and no means of scanning that QR code. So, I was unable to charge my car. And just to top off an annoying experience, I was forced to get an annual subscription with a free trial in order to open the app. I know people don’t read these before being forced to download them while frantically trying to charge their car so they can move on with their day, so this feels pointless, but I definitely will not use a station that requires this app again. I’m glad we have more options now. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App is down *2026-06-21, version 3.2.7* I am in a long EV trip and have paid $60 for the app and it won’t load. This isn’t a new problem. ### 1/5 — Trip planning not helpful *2025-11-16, version 3.2.6* Omg where to start I do not do big city freeways I am traveling from oroville ca to Windsor and the stupid app give me two options I pick the one I want and instead of giving me what I want this stupid app gives me the one that runs through Sacramento like I want to share the freeway with idiots who get their drivers license from a cracker box. Fix this or get rid of it you don’t help people like me out when planning. ### 1/5 — App is TERRIBLE! DO NOT PAY! Not even worth downloading but I did so you don’t have to *2025-09-26, version 3.2.6* The description claims that it’s the best of everything EV and touts its AI capabilities, but in reality it’s none of the above. it really is astonishingly poor. Problem 1: the only way to use the app at all is to agree to their free trial which renews for $59 annually at the end, which is ridiculous in and of itself. For example it places a Blink charger at 12100 Wilshire Blvd in Santa Monica. That address doesn’t exist. On the map itself the charger is located at 100 Wilshire Blvd. Presumably, the charger is at 12100 Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles but that’s miles from the displayed location. Problem 2: The data that it does have about chargers is full of errors. Every site I viewed incorrectly listed both the connector types available at the site and incorrectly claimed that the connector types were compatible with my vehicle. Pricing data, when it exists is wrong. Multiple instances of pricing being listed as free for very expensive EVGo chargers. Problem 3: Almost no filtering options. Except the aforementioned incorrect connector type and charging network, there isn’t any ability to filter by whether chargers are available or by whether or not the stations are publicly accessible or private (eg employees or residents only chargers show up as if anyone can use them). Problem 4: No ability to start a charging session or manage payments so you still have to get another app to do that. Ultimately, they have failed at the most basic functionality and data elements. There is an industry standard that provides a common set of data elements that can be queried for Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) ie chargers, that should make the things they’ve failed at super easy. No AI, no matter how sophisticated is going to be useful in any way if the underlying data is using is inaccurate. All in all, this is one of the most egregious ripoffs i’ve seen on the app store since the $999 app that cost that much just to be expensive. ### 1/5 — Not up to date! *2025-05-30, version 3.2.3* Took all of 1 minute to dump this 1-week free trial … app woefully out of date and did not have my 12month old EV on their list of vehicles. Well it’s not. The worst EV finder app I have (and I have a few). You have to zoom in REALLY close on the map for it to show up the charging points which really isn’t practical. Then when you find a charging point it doesn’t tell you things like exactly how many charge points there are at that location. Don’t bother with this app. There are better free ones out there ### 1/5 — Unskippable in app purchase *2025-02-06, version 3.2.2* Trying to use the app it’s offering me a free trial, but I can’t use the free version without subscribing then cancelling. This is a huge red flag and a scammy way to try and grab money. If your app is good I’ll subscribe, but don’t try to trick people into subscribing first because “you can always cancel”. ### 1/5 — Not worth it *2025-02-06, version 3.2.2* Tried the app and found it harder to use the just using 20 different apps at the same time. Now I’m stuck having shelled out $59 a useless app don’t make that mistake save your money. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Nice app for EV drivers *2024-08-17, version 3.1.1* The infrastructure of charging stations in the U.S. is insane. You need dozens of apps to deal with all the manufacturers of public stations out there, made even worse for us non-Tesla owners. Plugshare is most popular, but I’ve had many false hits saying a charger was down when it wasn’t or vice versa, and the UI leaves much to be desired. This app brings me much needed sanity by aggregating the different public charger networks together in one very well done user interface. It’s a subscription app, but they seem dedicated to keeping it up to date with the latest EVs and charger networks, and the data on charger availability so far has been good. Worth the subscription price. ### 5/5 — Love love love *2024-01-03, version 3.0.3* Semi new to the electric car world. This app is a LIFE SAVER. Worth every penny!!! I love that I can control what charge I want to be at when getting to chargers.
