Useless tech support could not help initiate charging until the cell reception briefly worked via the app. Only 2 of 4 stalls worked and charging speeds were half the promised 180kW. I barely got enough to move on. WHen I went to stop the session in the app; the app failed. Went to unplug the port, failure of the charging hardware and the plug wouldn’t unplug! Spent 45 mins in 17°F temps on the phone with abysmal service that could do nothing, offered only the most remedial troubleshooting, and ended up telling me to call the maker of my vehicle. Thankfully my car had an emergency charger cable release I had forgotten about until I needed it. Was finally able to unplug and get going no thanks to this company’s total lack of customer support. Terrible experience, terrible slow charging, terrible faulty hardware, terrible customer service. I will never use EV Connect again! ### 1/5 — Bogus charges *2025-12-20, version 5.0.2* I charged my car today for about 1 hour and 40 minutes. I just checked my account it’s charging $253.70 saying my car was idling for 5 hours but not charging?! Huh? I was not there any longer than when I charged. Customer service was not very helpful. Please try again later.” ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Extremely poor service *2026-07-28, version 6.1.4* I have not been to access my account in over a year, tech support say they are escalating my issue, no one ever responds back to me. ### 1/5 — Useless so far *2026-07-22, version 6.1.4* I downloaded the app just to browse around and find out whether there are EV connect stations in the areas where I’m likely to travel. If you try to use the app as a guest, you are blocked from pretty much the entire app as far as I can tell. ### 1/5 — Never Operational *2026-07-18, version 6.1.4* These chargers are always offline. There are a total of 4 connections and they are offline 90% of the time at Turkey Lake on the Florida Turnpike. ### 1/5 — Inadequate interface *2026-07-06, version 6.1.4* I downloaded this because I tend to collect charger apps. It doesn’t seem to have very much information about the charging stations. Perhaps they will improve it overtime but right now compared to charge hub and plug share. Instead, I just got charged $1.62 each time with no charge, and then I walk away and it just suddenly stops working. I'm then told I'll be charged a $25 per hour idle fee. It literally doesn't work, and the user interface is terrible. I spent 20 minutes trying to activate a charge with no luck. When you call support, they will blame your vehicle when their software system seems to be the issue.
