## What is EVCalculator?

EVCalculator is the perfect tool at a project management review to quickly evaluate performance on complex projects that use earned value management methodology. Enter the standard earned value data (BCWS, BCWP, ACWP, BAC and EAC), and EVCalculator instantly generates a color-coded table that includes all of the standard variances, indices and forecasts at completion, enabling you to quickly identify out-of-threshold items.  These metrics are then processed by a sophisticated rules-based engine to provide an easily understood narrative that highlights and explains: 1) performance-to-date metrics; 2) disconnects between performance to date and forecasted performance; and 3) any data anomalies (i.e., ACWP > EAC)

I’ve always liked this app and found it very useful, but it truly was getting pretty long in the tooth. Happily, it’s finally been updated, and looks and runs beautifully on my iPhone X. Love the option to clear existing entries automatically.  To the reviewers who wanted the PMBOK nomenclature, it’s here, so I’m sure you’ll update your reviews accordingly.

I'm literally in a meeting right now with our customer, and they needed quick EV metrics and EAC analysis. This free app fit the bill within minutes, and now I have a multitude of action items that need to get fixed in our baseline!  Great stuff. Put commas in numbers, and you'll get 5 stars.

Excellent tool to use in conjunction with interpretation training (eg. Humphreys & Associates).  The "AI" tab gives a very nice summary interpretation that necessarily assumes some understanding of the underlying principals.  Very powerful and you can't beat the price. This tool is very handy for quick calcs.  The Cost Weighting is a great feature for best/worst/likely IEAC calcs.  Nicely done.

An easy to use EV app in the palm of your hand. The AI section has a distinctive wInsight feel with clear explainations. For guideline # 27 fans, an excellent section on why your EAC may be "optimistic" is provided - your EAC stress tested against DOD's favorite iEACs. And when USG trip wires have been tripped an explaination is included. Dr David Christensen would like this app. And the DAU Goldcard is included in the help section.  I predict that this app will explode in terms of additional features and ease of use. Much better than all other EV apps. Good job to the author!
