## What is evDash OBD2?

evDash OBD2 is a live dashboard and diagnostics multitool for electric vehicles.

Connect a compatible OBD2 adapter and view real-time EV data on your phone or Apple CarPlay. evDash is built to support as many electric cars as possible — if a vehicle exposes useful data over OBD2, the goal is to make it work.

Available data depends on the vehicle model, adapter type and supported vehicle profile. Some cars expose a lot of battery data, some expose only basic OBD2 data, and some are restricted by the vehicle gateway.

evDash Pro unlocks advanced diagnostics, multi-car quick switch, battery internal resistance calculation, cell health tests, graph exports, Service Menu tools and fullscreen diagnostic views. It is available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase.

Monthly and yearly plans include the same Pro features. Pricing is displayed in the App Store before purchase and may vary by region. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; the lifetime purchase is a one-time payment with no renewal. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.

### 1.3.5 — 2026-08-12

NEW CARS

• Chery Tiggo 8 PHEV — first Chery Super Hybrid profile. Battery data comes off Chery's private page, so SoC, pack voltage, current and cell readings all work rather than the generic minimum.
• VW Group MQB plug-in hybrids — Skoda, VW, SEAT, Cupra and Audi (e-Hybrid / GTE / TFSI e) get a dedicated profile instead of the generic fallback.
• Mercedes eVito Tourer / EQV (W447) — a second battery controller nobody had found before, and with it all 288 cells and 54 temperature sensors.
• Honda e (ZC7) — pack voltage, all 96 cells, cell min/max, SoC and module temperatures, each cross-checked against a second register on the car.
• Mercedes-Benz EQC (N293) — arrives complete rather than identity-only: SoC, pack voltage and current, cells and temperatures.
• Toyota RAV4 (XA40) hybrid, and the MY2026 bZ4X, whose battery controller sits at a different address than earlier model years.

LOXONE MINISERVER

evDash can write live values straight into a Loxone Miniserver with no MQTT broker in between — it uses the Miniserver's own web service, so every generation works, Gen 1 included. Create only the Virtual Inputs you actually want; the ones that do not exist are dropped quietly instead of being retried all drive.

FASTER POLLING ON OBDLINK AND OTHER STN ADAPTERS

STN-based adapters understand a single command that sets the header and sends the request together, where a plain ELM327 needs two round trips. evDash probes for it once at connect and uses it only when the adapter genuinely supports it — one that answers but silently truncates a long reply is rejected.

CORRECTED READINGS — worth re-checking if you own one

• Pack current sign on Nissan Leaf, Ford Mach-E, Jaguar I-Pace and Fiat 500e: energy used and regen were the wrong way round.
• Nissan Leaf / e-NV200 health: the "as new" capacity is 65.4 Ah on the 24 kWh pack, and health now reads to two decimals over OVMS.
• Fiat 500e state of charge was reading about 0.4% low.
• VW e-Golf 24.2 and e-Up: state of charge no longer freezes at the first reading of a session.
• Battery check: cell spread under load is judged against the current the pack was actually pulling, so a high-power EV is no longer flagged simply for being high-power.

CARS NEWLY SUPPORTED OR CORRECTED

- Toyota and Lexus THS hybrids (RAV4 Hybrid and family) now read their traction battery instead of falling back to a bare generic loop.
- VW e-Up! (2013-2016) is a 102-cell pack, not 84 - the cell maths was wrong before this.
- VW Golf GTE, Passat GTE, Audi A3 e-tron and the other MQB plug-ins read the MQB HV block: SoC, pack voltage, cells and temperatures.
- SEAT Leon e-Hybrid 19.7 kWh (Mk4 facelift) added to the catalog.
- Tata Harrier EV, Opel Frontera and Jaecoo J5 get real profiles.
- BYD Atto 3 gains per-module cell voltages and temperatures.
- Mercedes B250e publishes its odometer and two new data pages.
- Mazda MX-30 gains 16 module temperatures; Subaru Solterra AWD gains a rear inverter temperature.

WRONG READINGS FIXED

- Mazda MX-30 cell voltages: the 96-cell array was read as two halves of 48, which filled 57 of 96 cells and invented a 3.855 V minimum - a 157 mV spread shown for a pack whose real spread is 2 mV.
- Audi e-tron: pack current above 500 A was discarded and the display held its previous value, so a full-boost pull rendered as a plateau. An e-tron 55 pulls around 880 A.
- VW MEB (ID.3/ID.4/ID.5 and cousins): the app was publishing the VCU's odometer rather than the one on the dash, and the AC-charge tile was empty because the register behind it was never requested.
- Volvo and Polestar CMA stopped reporting a charge that was not happening.
- PSA/Stellantis e-CMP SoC no longer freezes.
- BMW iX1/iX2 get a speed source; Hyundai Kona classic reports DC charge; Renault Scenic VIN reads correctly; Honda HR-V no longer takes the cluster's speed; Nissan Leaf e+ SoC and Toyota e-TNGA capacity reference corrected.
- OBDLink CX and other STN adapters: a leftover reply from the previous connection could put the whole stream one command behind, so every command got an answer - the previous command's. A session could produce no usable data with no error shown. Now detected and resynchronised.
- If a second OBD app is holding the adapter, evDash now says so instead of quietly showing rotten data.

NEW

- ECU Versions: read the full identification block, scan ADAS, HUD and camera modules, upload a scan and compare your car's firmware against the community.
- Pre-purchase report: SOH now shows the capacity it came from ("213.5 / 240.0 Ah"), plus cell-group SOH range and per-module retention.
- Charger map fetches over a wider radius and retries quickly when a fetch fails.
- M5 recorder: import .plog recordings into History, upload poll sets and download logs from the Adapter page, and configure the device without its web interface.
- New firmware for M5Stack Tab5 with the app's own DRIVE and CHARGE layouts, BLE and WiFi adapter support, and standby power save.
