Don’t spending the money, just endure the free version and just come back next day and upgrade or up date character then burn them down until exhausted then come back next day. Don’t spend the money. But as others have said, the game is seriously pay to win. Also, in my time playing it has had a fair number of significant bugs. And, it is terribly unbalanced. You won’t do well unless you are willing spend significantly to get the top commanders and ships. But my biggest issue is with their support. I paid for a minor resource bonus. For whatever reason, the game did not credit me with the entire set of purchased resources. I contacted technical support within an hour of making the purchase. I expected it would be a minor fix. However, after several days they responded that I had spent the resources I hadn’t received. That’s just stupidly wrong. All in all, my opinion is, until they fix their issues, it’s a game you should think twice about joining. ### 2/5 — Resource Nightmare *2025-08-16, version 1.74.2986271* Having played EVE Online, i had high hopes for this game. It was fun for a couple of days, then the inability to get enough ore to build anything, (or even make enough components to keep my fleets operational,) got incredibly frustrating. Maybe it’s better if you buy a subscription and toss even more money at the game to buy resources, but F2P with the occasional bundle purchase? No way. You can only mine 5 attempts per day, and that doesn’t produce anywhere near the ore you need, even if you use all 5 attempts on ore… which is only 1 of several resources you need to collect. This is just scratching the surface. Tldr: If you’re not prepared to buy a paid subscription AND kick in more cash to keep the gears turning, prepare to be disappointed. ### 2/5 — A little disappointed *2025-07-18, version 1.73.2968646* The game is fun enough. Car après le dévoiement de l'esprit originel de EVE ONLINE qui avait su pourtant nous émerveiller et nous faire rêver à l'aube du XXIème siècle, après tant d'échecs accumulés au seul profit d'un jeux MMO PAY TO WIN ayant fait fuir des dizaines de milliers de joueurs historiques, après la déprime des fans provoquée par la dérive prise par EVE ECHOES, après l'échec de leur collaboration avec PEARL ABYSS, voici venu le temps de l'horrible boîte à clics PAY TO WIN, j'ai nommé : EVE GALAXY CONQUEST ! Il ne nous manquait plus que ça. Car ce pseudo-jeu de stratégie n'arrive même pas à la cheville du jeu plateau EVE CONQUESTS ! Dans ce pseudo-STR en ligne, il n'y a que la vidéo d'introduction qui est vraiment très sympas, sauf qu'une fois cette introduction passée, absolument tout dans EVE GALAXY CONQUEST devient très vite illisible, bordélique, voire incompréhensible ! On se retrouve à devoir cliquer un peu partout sans trop savoir ce que l'on fait ! Vous ne pourrez choisir que parmi deux factions sur quatre, à savoir les Caldari ou les Amarr, mais l'on se demande très vite pourquoi en ouvrant des coffres qui vous servent de tout via une interface qui ne rivalise jamais avec le bon vieux NeoCom de EVE ONLINE ; même ça, ils ne sont pas foutus dans préserver l'esprit général ! Ce jeu est donc un vrai foutoir pour esprits ravagés, et je pèse mes mots, et ceci en dépit des efforts pour tenter d'y jouer ! Alors dites les gens de FENRIS CREATION ! Vous n'allez tout de même pas continuer de reproduire les mêmes erreurs à l'infini avec EVE FRONTIER ? Hein dites, votre FPS EVE VANGUARD mis à part, puisque l'on s'éloigne du jeu de stratégie avec celui-ci ? Car là c'est sûr, côté stratégie, il faut vraiment vous réveiller, voire vous secouer les gars ! Non mais alors, quel gâchis ! Vraiment ! Tout un potentiel fichu parterre... En attendant une réponse claire à cette question, en attendant d'y voir un peu plus clair du côté de EVE FRONTIER, et quitte à devoir jouer sur une autre boîte à clics de bien meilleure qualité sur mobile en attendant, alors autant se rabattre sur Nova Space Armada, par exemple ! Mais sincèrement les gens de l'ex-CCP, la concurrence est sacrément rude cette année ! Or, vous n'êtes plus du tout dans le coup avec des jeux comme EVE GALAXY CONQUEST, vos cinématiques mises à part comme toujours ; ça c'est peut-être votre côté islandais rêveur qui parle ! My progress and expansion and construction and upgrades have been blown away, they’re gone. I load up the game and I back to selection and initiation. App needs updating, as it did last time. Definitely pay to win, and you really need to spend a few thousand just to survive. That’s normal for these types of games. What has killed the game with a small number of players (and decreasing significantly every day with mass quitting), are a few greedy corps that kill servers and seasons within the first few days. I guess that’s a flex, but it really does mean most of the player base sits captured for almost the entire season. Outside that this game is nothing more than a cash grab. It’s difficult to get the good legendary ships without spending $400+ per ship. Then you have to keep dumping money to get them up to 5*. Then spend more to get good characters, then spend more to gear them up. Our server got screwed. CCP skipped season 3 for us and dumped us in with people going into season 4. We don’t have the ships or gear and will get crushed. I guess so many people quit they can’t keep servers full. Cash cow and very poor run. Beautiful artwork, commanding fleets of space ships, what’s not to love. But it is not Eve Online. So leave what you know of EO at the login screen. Where this game really shines is in its complexity. Assigning commanders and agents to fleets, each with a myriad of special abilities, and maximizing their interaction as a force multiplier, is the puzzle I enjoy most. You can purchase all the stuff they offer, but until you learn the game, you won’t be any good at it. I think of this as Eve online, as a chess game. If you liked Magic The Gathering you might really enjoy this game. The commanders are very much like spell casters. I play it on my iPad in the comfort of my recliner. Priceless, the hours I have enjoyed playing this game.
