### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2025-08-13, version 1.1.2*

App is over complicated & doesn’t work. I’ve managed to bi-pass the schedule system by using Intelligent Octopus but if I hadn’t of managed to do this I would have sent the whole thing back.

### 1/5 — Schedule function

*2025-05-01, version 1.1.1*

Put simply, it doesn’t work. I got it to a state of working but very “hit or miss”, but since the recent app update it doesn’t work at all. Customer services will blame your car or utilities company, but it’s the app. Poorly designed. I’m now having to wait up of an evening to wait for the cheap tariff and manually charge - I need my sleep!
Avoid if you can.

### 1/5 — Scheduled Hit & Miss

*2025-03-19, version 1.1.1*

Scheduling the car to charge on the app is a shot in the dark. Try to schedule to charge overnight so it’s cheaper, but wake up to find it’s not worked and left stranded trying to get to work on time. I’d say I’ve had about 25% success rate when scheduling overnight. NEEDS FIXING!

### 1/5 — Shocking App

*2025-03-12, version 1.1.1*

Poor app which rarely works. The scheduling is hit and miss and can fail to enable a charge, which will result in you having no charge start over night. The charger it’s self is okay the problem is the app which controls it. Needs improving!

### 3/5 — Needs improvement

*2025-03-03, version 1.1.1*

Works OK but a couple of frustrations:
Firstly, why am I mandated to have WIFI to use the charger? Is it because it needs the app to work? Again, why?
Leads me to my second frustration: the “enable” button. This must be pressed after plugging in the charger - why? Why can’t it just charge when I plug it in? Is there a regulation that requires a remote button press to begin charging? If there is, at least make the button more helpful - there is no haptic, visual or aural feedback that the button has been pressed and, since there is a delay before it activates the charger, it is impossible to know whether it is going anything - so you stare at a screen for a few seconds (sometimes longer) wondering if you can wait or need to press it again. As someone else suggested, perhaps if it changed colour or at least gave an indication that an instruction to “enable” the charger has been received, I wouldn’t be left wondering. But, ultimately, I just want to be able to plug and go without needing to remember to open the app and press the frustrating “enable” button.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2025-02-22, version 1.1.1*

Worst app out. Never connects and always have to mess about to get it to kick in. Avoid at all costs.

### 1/5 — Poor app

*2024-12-02, version 1.1.1*

The app is poor to say the least, schedule doesn’t always update even when you save it. You have to manually start a charge and then stop it otherwise 9 times out of 10 it won’t start scheduling.
Very annoying to get up in the morning and realise the car hasn’t charged. Get a different charger if you have any sense!

### 1/5 — Horrendous

*2024-11-30, version 1.1.1*

I do not recommend

### 1/5 — Scheduling is poor

*2024-10-18*

I moved away from PodPoint when we moved home. Mistake.
The Schedule Mode is inconsistent to say the least. There is no pattern to explain why one day it will charge fine, and the next doesn’t. Router is literally a meter away. It’s poor app development, or app is not compatible for Charger firmware. Scheduled charging is the main reason to have an app! Either way, it’s very poor and extremely frustrating to wake up and find it hasn’t charged.
EVEC - read and fix as soon as possible.

### 1/5 — Very unreliable

*2024-09-24, version 1.1.0*

I’ve been trying to use this app in Schedule mode for months now. Very occasionally it will work but most of the time nothing happens. I’ve tried reinstalling it several times but no joy. I need to set it to come on overnight for off-peak electricity but always end up switching it manually the following morning. Extremely frustrating.
