Focus on improving the teleprompter. That’s what makes the G1 (or next model) stand out from ALL other smart glasses.  Suggestion: 1) For those who wear corrective lenses (including contact lenses) use their prescription to make adjustment to “distance.” 2) When teleprompter is activated, automatically silence all incoming calls. 3) Allow for changes to size of font in teleprompter mode. 4) Bring the “screen” to center of the lenses for future Glasses…Teleprompter will trump notifications. 
 
I love the product and hope you guys do well.

Warum kann ich meinem gegenüber nicht das Handy geben und er hört oder sieht was ich sage. Gut fände ich auch dass mein gesprochenes nicht auch noch auf der Brille gezeigt wird da es dann irgend etwas übersetzt und es dadurch sehr verwirrend ist.

This is an awesome idea and I love my glasses, but definitely needs more development and improvement. The Even AI seems to lack certain functionality like knowing your location when you ask it a question like that’s the weather going to be, and it also gives it to you in Celsius and not Fahrenheit even if your settings reflect that. The voice command features should be expanded so that you can pull up your quick notes or notifications. Would also be great if there was a way to actually respond to text messages.

Love the glasses and all the features that come with them, just my glasses kill my phone battery with less than 20 mins of use. Is there some way to fix this?

Glasses are by far the coolest I have seen. Interface as an AR glasses system is minimal and keeps you in the loop, when you need to know things! Wonderful for keeping an eye on meetings, though I do notice it struggles with overlapping meetings on my calendar, so I still rely on my watch for that.

Everyone I show this to, their jaw drops to the floor. It’s awesome to see their face light up when they look up and can see the overlay!

I do deduct one star for a few reasons. 

One of them is the notification is still pushed to the glasses when your phone screen is active and unlocked. 

I have also noticed that the interface will glitch or fail to display  notifications on LookUp if there are multiple back to back notifications. Not a bad flaw, but sometimes it will fail to display the notification when you tap the left sensor.

The last issue I’ve noticed is the on-board map routing system. Can this be integrated into Apple Maps, or perhaps update more frequently? I’ve found I am missing turns from the delay, and being routed through parking lots vs sidewalks, etc. It’s useful but definitely needs some polishing!

I would highly recommend someone who is interested in this product to buy it. Comfort on a whole day of wear is pretty darn good, and pressure on the back of the ears isn’t enough to be a problem! Sometimes I forget I’m even wearing them!

So the app does not respond to touch or keyboard input until it is backgrounded or I leave and re open it.  So it registers the interaction but somehow it is glitched.  Kind of annoying for very first time users, not sure whether this is a bad omen….

I haven been having no issues with the app. So far working how expected . I needed my teleprompter and  the page is frozen. Every single time for two days. I googled all the ways to correct this and nothing! Please fix!

These glasses aren’t cheap. Even Chinese-made glasses have far more features. EVEN abandoned its customers and switched to a new model, leaving owners of the first version behind. Updates for the glasses are extremely rare, and when they do come, they’re minor and not substantial. The ring is only available for the new model, the software is very sluggish—in short, I bought overpriced junk from a shady company.

Update 12/7/25: even is basically abandoning G1 in favor of G2 now so no more significant updates other than general support…very disappointed since they went back on their commitment and also never made this open sourced like they said they would

Bought G2 from Amazon Canada. Unable to use it because even realities doesn’t provide an app to support it. I suggested Amazon Canada pull the product because you can’t use the G2 without a supporting app to install it

What a great app with this marvelous pair of glasses. I highly recommend 3 changes which could enhance the glasses wearing experience.

1. Feature to automatically detect a language and translate it to whatever language you select.
2. A feature where you hold down a button on your phone (physical or onscreen) to use Even AI without using the touch-bar or saying “Hey Even”.
3. A way that notifications can be closed or opened by tilting your head certain directions.

I love everything else about this! Thanks for a great product.

Ich nutze die App „Even Realities“ täglich in Verbindung mit meiner G1A-Brille – sowohl im beruflichen als auch im privaten Kontext – und bin insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Die App ist durchdacht, bietet viele intelligente Funktionen und ist im Alltag stabil, schnell und vielseitig einsetzbar.

Bedienung & Anpassbarkeit:
Die Benutzeroberfläche ist klar strukturiert, viele Module sind gut konfigurierbar und lassen sich an individuelle Bedürfnisse anpassen. Insbesondere die Teleprompt-Funktion funktioniert beeindruckend gut: Bei deutsch- und englischsprachigen Texten wird zuverlässig bei Schlüsselwörtern weitergescrollt – ideal für Reden oder Präsentationen. Wird der virtuelle Abstand auf 5 m eingestellt, ist selbst aus Publikumsentfernung kaum noch eine lesbare Augenbewegung erkennbar – wirklich beeindruckend.

Übersetzungs- und Transkriptionsfunktionen:
Diese laufen stabil und sind im Alltag sehr hilfreich. Die Qualität der Transkription bei normaler Gesprächslautstärke über größere Tische hinweg ist erstaunlich gut. Die Übersetzungsfunktion funktioniert zuverlässig, wenngleich ich mir eine größere Sprachauswahl wünschen würde – aktuell fehlen leider Randsprachen wie Suaheli, was bei Aufenthalten im Ausland (z. B. Tansania) durchaus relevant wäre.

Ein kleiner Wunsch für künftige Updates:
Auf der Dialogseite der Übersetzungs- und Transkriptionsmodule fehlt ein gut sichtbarer „In Zwischenablage kopieren“-Button – das würde den Workflow erheblich vereinfachen. Auch ein direkter Export-Button (z. B. an WhatsApp, Dateien, Mail etc.) wäre wünschenswert.

Dashboards & Nachrichtenmodule:
Die Darstellung von News, Aktienkursen und Kalenderinformationen ist übersichtlich. Der iOS-Systemkalender wird sauber eingebunden. Leider können andere Kalender, z. B. Outlook oder Google, derzeit nicht integriert werden. Ein optionaler „Expertenmodus“ mit der Möglichkeit, z. B. eigene RSS-Feeds zu hinterlegen, würde das Nachrichten-Dashboard deutlich aufwerten – ebenso wie eine Funktion zur Inhaltsvorschau per Touch-Geste für News.

Verbindung & Bluetooth-Handling:
Wenn das iPhone kurz außer Reichweite ist, muss die Bluetooth-Verbindung oft manuell neu hergestellt werden. Das stört im Alltag, zumal andere Geräte diese Verbindung automatisch wieder aufnehmen. Eventuell ein iOS-spezifisches Verhalten, dennoch wäre hier eine automatische Wiederverbindung wünschenswert.

AR-Brille & visuelle Nutzung:
Die G1A-Hardware ist angenehm zu tragen, hochwertig verarbeitet und gut anpassbar – insbesondere für Gleitsichtnutzer. Die größeren runden Gläser ermöglichen einen angenehmen Übergangsbereich und eignen sich hervorragend für Naharbeit, z. B. am Laptop. In der Dämmerung liefert die Brille ein ruhiges Bild mit sehr geringer Streuung.

Ein paar optische Phänomene:
Bei schrägem Lichteinfall können minimal lineare Regenbogeneffekte auftreten, die jedoch selten störend sind. Auch Reflexionen bei Gegenlicht sind gelegentlich sichtbar, aber im Alltag gut beherrschbar.

Fazit:
Die App ist ein zentrales Element der „Even Realities“-Nutzung und zeigt, was im Bereich Augmented Wearables heute schon möglich ist. Mit wenigen gezielten Ergänzungen – insbesondere Exportfunktionen, erweiterte Kalenderintegration und Expertenoptionen für Content-Feeds – wäre sie nahezu perfekt.

Ich gebe daher volle 5 Sterne, weil das System schon jetzt extrem leistungsfähig ist, regelmäßig verbessert wird und deutlich zeigt, wohin sich AR im Alltag entwickeln kann.

This app is the backbone of the Even Realities G1 experience. Thankfully is a great app! Connectivity has been rock solid. It sends info over in the background without a hitch. And it has no noticeable effect on my phone’s battery life. I love that they continuously add and improve features without a monthly subscription.

Overall, this is a very good software for interacting with glasses, but I think the functions are a bit lacking. I hope to have the following functions in the future (these are what I think can be achieved at the software level)

1. I hope to read the whole note, not just 4 lines. Even with AI summarizing the notes, it is not enough. In order to read the whole note, I have to take out my phone or use the teleprompter function, which is sometimes inconvenient to use the phone.

2. I hope there are more customizable options, such as letting us freely choose different functions of double tap (left and right), triple tap (left and right) and hold (left right). Or just turn off some touch bar controls. I often make mistakes: for example, before I want to double tap, I first confirm the position of the touch bar with my finger and then double tap, which directly leads to a triple tap, and I don't need silent mode at all, or I am often judged as Hold when operating the touchbar.

3. I hope to allow users to choose whether to read notes or teleprompters in full screen. The display range of the glasses is currently very small. Sometimes I want to completely turn off the date/time information on the left to get more notes to read. When using the teleprompter, the left side will still occupy about 1/4 of the space to display the time, which greatly increases the page turning operation I need.

4. I hope to be able to freely choose the font when editing notes/teleprompters. Although it is true that smaller fonts are more difficult to read, I think users should be given the right to choose (sacrifice part of the user experience to get more text), and even support markdown. These are what I think can be achieved in software.
