### 4/5 — Finally an app I can take night timelapses with

*2026-08-03*

I’ve been using default camera app with Bluetooth trigger to create timelapses but I often forget the trigger on dark skies trips. I also used other timelapse and star trail apps but they all lack some functionality like easy manual focus, setting exposure above 1sec and setting ISO/gain manually. This app does it all: manual focus, 30s exposure on iPhone15promax and has built-in intervalometer. The only counter-intuitive thing is having to select both total direction and number of intervals which seems redundant. Gotta do some mental math to align intervals with delays with total duration. Also I wish it was setting ISO and EV automatically like the default camera app does.
Good value for the price otherwise.

### 3/5 — No function

*2025-12-15*

I pressed the Sart-button and get the message "preparing camera" . I wait and wait and wait.. nothing happens. Not possible to take any photos.
PS: Your supportsite doesn't work neither.

### 4/5 — Camera level?

*2025-11-25*

This is a great app. What would really be helpful is a level function. If it is already there where might it be? This would eliminate the need to have to go back to the native app for each setup.

**Developer response:** A level tool is already available in the app. There is a button with a spirit level icon left from the histogram button.

### 4/5 — Mostly positive

*2025-08-25*

The effect is overall good and I would say it's much better than its competitors, but there are some things to improve: the first thing is there is no hdr, the sky gets burnt out or the foreground is under exposed, often times it is both and it can look horrible, when comparing to my iphone camera it is like looking at a digital photo from 20 years ago, the worst thing is the preview shows a correctly exposed image with exposure between sky and foreground perfect, it is one of the things that makes the final image so disappointing as the difference is so dramatic. As the preview seems to use the iphone's software it must also be possible when exposing the image, and this has to be done by software as a phone sensor is so tiny a graduated ND filter isn't an option.
The next issue is setting the exposure, again the preview does not represent the final output so there is a lot of trial and error. Otherwise I do really like the app, if the developers can sort out those 2 problems it would elevate the app from good to awesome!

### 4/5 — Pro didn’t work with no service

*2025-08-24*

I had the pro version and I went out of service and I didn’t work, so that was annoying but at least I was still mostly able to get the shot that I wanted, but not completely

### 4/5 — Star trails glitch

*2025-08-23*

I did a star trails for 1.5 hour to test out the airplane removal feature. It did a great job at removing them from final image. My image looked good but the 1 second exposure might have contributed to the trails not being contiguous, rather in each trail there are regular constant small breaks in the light. My ISO was 640 so maybe a higher ISO will smooth things out. Will try again. It does a great job of removing people and objects when using frame averaging mode. Useful when traveling.

**Developer response:** Sorry the UI felt clunky. FYI, Even Longer already saves to Apple Photos. Tell us what tripped you up: info@even-longer.cam.

### 2/5 — App won’t help me aim camera

*2025-05-24, version 1.6.5*

Until I start shootings the photo, the app shows me no picture at all - which makes it impossible to properly aim the camera. Please fix this.

### 3/5 — Deleted app

*2025-03-22*

Can’t remember why I downloaded it but it’s just another cam app so not sure what makes this stands out so I’ve just deleted this app

### 3/5 — Star trails

*2025-02-23, version 1.6.5*

I cannot capture star trails, what shutter speed is recommended?

### 1/5 — Misleading deals

*2024-12-17*

I grabbed this app recently when it was promoting a “free lifetime” offer in the app and elsewhere. Downloaded the app, selected the “free lifetime” option and… was charged $14.99 for the free option.

Still waiting on the refund response from Apple. Bitterly disappointed that this is another app playing loose with what “free” actually means.

### 4/5 — iOS 18.2 Probleme

*2024-12-13*

Finde die App sehr gut. Bis auf das nach dem neuen iOS Update, die Kamera kein Bild mehr zeigt.

### 4/5 — Nice App

*2024-12-12*

The application is nice but sometimes freezes or crashes. Needs certain improvements. Zoom cannot be adjusted as per iPhone’s available zoom .. beyond 1x.

### 2/5 — Slow and buggy in ios18.2

*2024-12-12*

Worked fine before iOS 18.2. But now the auto focus is slow and everything just feels clunky and buggy. When I press the screen (to autofocus) the target crosshairs takes up to three seconds to come on and autofocus. This didn’t happen pre-ios18.2

### 1/5 — Wanted to like this but…

*2024-12-08*

Constantly crashes or causes my iPhone to freeze. Upgraded to the pro lifetime version but deleted shortly after as just couldn’t used it. I’m on iOS 18.1.1.

### 1/5 — 1-second shutter is the slowest

*2024-12-08*

If you want long shutter speed, don’t bother downloading as the slowest shutter is 1 second on my 16 pro max, iPhones own camera app can do 3 seconds.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No longer works.

*2025-11-20, version 1.6.12*

This was a great app until I upgraded to an iPhone 17 Pro Max. Now whenever I try to take an exposure the result is never saved my photos or anywhere else that I can find on the phone so it has become useless to me unfortunately

### 1/5 — Keeps crashing on me

*2025-11-19, version 1.6.12*

App keeps crashing when taking interval shots on night mode. Paid the subscription and not happy. Crashes after about 200 photos. I tried it on 2 devices. Please fix.

### 1/5 — Give me a chance!

*2025-10-06*

It’s asking me to review on every single picture I take - I have not even had a chance to learn how to use it properly - I gave it 1 star so it will leave me alone

### 1/5 — Basic Version should be free

*2025-05-06, version 1.6.5*

The issue with this app is that the basic version doesn’t buy much of what a person wants in this app. Now RAW. No long exposure modes. To get a useful app costs the original $3.99 PLUS another $10 or $40 for the “Pro” version where the useful features are.

### 1/5 — Rip off

*2025-03-14*

Don’t waste your money. The previews prior to buying the app gave me the impression I would be able to shoot longer exposures than I can in live mode. Maybe that possible if I spend even more to upgrade? It’s a truly awful app in my experience. I feel as if I have been conned!

### 1/5 — Another subscription scam

*2025-02-22*

Bought this on recommendation as an excellent product (which it well may be). Downloaded the app and went straight to settings to discover that if I wanted to create anything other than JPG images I would have to pay an ANNUAL subscription of £7.99. Immediate refund requested. Hugely disappointing sharp practice.

**Developer response:** Just like written in the description you need the PRO option to save RAW or TIFF along other features. In addition to the subscription option there is also a onetime purchase available.

### 1/5 — Confused

*2025-02-03*

Opened up the app and was greeted with a screen with the normal icons but no image on screen. Deleted the app and reinstalled the app. However it will not allow me to redeem my previous Pro membership. Can anyone provide assistance?

**Developer response:** Could you please contact me at
info@even-longer.de

### 1/5 — 退钱退钱退钱退钱

*2025-01-07*

退我15块钱

### 1/5 — Truly the MOST dishonest app developers

*2024-12-28*

Via AppAdvice this app was made free as a lifetime subscription (sadly) lifetime subscription seems to mean 1 week (short life truly sad) BUT what makes them truly scummy is THEY still charge you WHEN app was supposed to be FREE 🙈🤮🥲

Add to that they data mine your info and make it available to third parties for a fee no date collecting even more money.

Greed is Gross Richard!!!

### 1/5 — Wrong advertisement

*2024-12-24, version 1.6.5*

The website appadvice.com suggested that it was free for life.
I downloaded and got charged.
So long story short, deleted app and cancelled subscription which I was going to be charged $1.99 per month.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The best…

*2026-06-19*

I’ve paid for 3 other long exposure apps besides Even Longer, and this hands down performs the best and does the most. Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — The best…

*2025-12-10*

I’ve purchased 2 other long exposure apps, and this one - although I wish it had a better icon and design, functions the best and has the most flexibility. Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — 12MP

*2025-10-20*

Why on iPhone 17 Pro Max 48MP main camera, the app is taking 12MP Raw files?

**Developer response:** Simply because Apple doesn’t provide 48 MP real RAW access for third party developers. They just provide their highly processed „ProRAW“. 48 MP ProRAW is also way too slow for good frame averaging, the 12 MP real pixel binned Bayer RAW is 40x faster and provides a great image quality. As soon as Apple would give us real 48 MP RAW access, I will add support for it in Even Longer

### 5/5 — №1 Astro shooting app!

*2025-08-15*

The best app for shooting headlight tracks and races!

### 5/5 — Único app que libera o obturador no iphone

*2025-06-22*

Único app que permite velocidades de obturador verdadeiramente acima de 1/1s

### 5/5 — The Best Long Exposure App for iPhone – Unmatched!

*2024-10-06*

EvenLonger is hands down the best app for professional long exposure photography on the iPhone. The ability to shoot in RAW format is a game changer, providing unrivaled detail and flexibility in post-processing. The app’s interface is intuitive, yet packed with powerful features that make it feel like you’re using a pro camera. I’ve tried several long exposure apps, and nothing comes close to what EvenLonger offers. If you’re serious about mobile photography, this is an absolute must-have. No other app compares!

### 5/5 — Super App

*2023-11-02*

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2023-08-14*

Love this app the only thing is it shoots star trails 4:3. I would love it to have the anytime shoot 16:9 it may already be possible but I can’t find the setting the app and other functions are simple and easy to use I’ve never been able to shoot the starts the way I can now

### 5/5 — Great for low-light and night photos!

*2023-08-02*

Being very impressed with its night photography capabilities, I upgraded to Pro. It’s the best in its class I’ve found so far. Can’t wait to see how it does with starry night skies!

### 5/5 — Five star app

*2023-07-16*

Even Longer is one of my favourite camera apps, superb results, so easy to use. Gets regular updates and there’s nothing available that’s as good for long exposure shots on a smartphone.
