He thinks the animations are hilarious. We have nearly thirty apps so there is a lot of competition, but somehow this features a lot of what he's interested in at the moment, funny monsters, pirates, fireworks, guitars, tools, etc. Very cool! ### 5/5 — Actually worth the money *2012-11-27* I loved the story, half the apps I get for my daughter are cheesy or boring but this one was worth it and I hope to find more like this one. And it is MUCH more than just a book because of all the interactive bits, which includes games that are built within the story line. I've read this book time and Tim again both to two of my kids now and they've LOVED it. We even impersonate the characters at the dinner table. The voice is pleasant to listen to, the animations are fun and engaging, and the story really speaks to him. He is often ill, and sometimes his friends don't understand why he doesn't want to play. Every page is engaging, and teaches kids about kindness, acceptance and tolerance. The book follows a boy who accepts a monster in a trade and then realizes, he needs some help. The illustrations are phenomenal, and there is always something to do on a page.
