## What is Events Tally?

Events Tally is a field-ready operations workspace for people coordinating live events. Keep the plan, the room, and the closeout record together without creating an account or relying on a network connection.

BUILD A RUN OF SHOW

Create timed cues, assign owners and zones, add operational notes, and advance each cue through ready, active, and complete states.

COUNT ARRIVALS

Record door entries as they happen, review recent changes, and follow the attendance trend without losing your place in the event plan.

CHECK IN THE CREW

Assign responsibilities, track check-in, and keep each team member's zone and contact note close at hand.

TRACK THE FIELD

Maintain supply checkpoints and log incidents with timestamps, severity, location, actions taken, and resolution status.

CLOSE OUT CLEANLY

Create PDF, CSV, or plain-text closeout reports and share them through the standard iOS share sheet.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT

Your event records stay on your device. Events Tally has no account, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or remote event database. Information leaves the app only when you choose to share an export.

Events Tally supports operational organization. Confirm venue, crowd, food, labor, accessibility, emergency, and regulatory requirements with the venue and relevant authorities.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4 — 2026-08-26

Events Tally has been rebuilt as a live event-operations workspace. This update adds a timed run of show, door-count history and charting, crew assignments and check-in, supply checkpoints, incident logging, multi-event local storage, and PDF, CSV, and text closeout exports. Existing local planning records are migrated into the new workspace when available.

### 1.3 — 2026-06-23

**Task reminders**
Add a reminder to any task and EventTally will nudge you a day, a few days, or a week before it's due — so the chairs get picked up and the ice gets bought on time. Reminders are local notifications scheduled right on your device.

**Event history with charts**
Save a finished event as a snapshot, then watch your history build up. See how many guests you typically host, what you spend per guest, and a chart of spending across past events. It's the running picture every regular host wishes they had.

**One-file backup and restore**
Save everything — tasks, your event profile, budget, and saved-event history — to a single JSON file you own. Share it, keep it safe, or restore it on a new phone in one tap.

You can now also name the event you're planning, and that name flows into the run sheet and exports. Everything stays 100% offline: no account, no ads, no tracking.

### 1.2 — 2026-06-18

What's New in EventTally 1.2

EventTally now answers the question every host actually has: "How much do I need to buy?"

Guest-count shopping plan
Set your guest count, how long the event runs, and your food style, and the new Plan tab builds a rounded shopping list for you - appetizers, mains, sides, bread, dessert, water, soft drinks, wine and beer, ice, plates, cups, napkins, and utensils. Every line shows the per-person reasoning behind the number, and everything is rounded up so you never come up short. Tap "How estimates work" in the Info tab to see each figure and where it comes from.

A real budget tracker
Enter a planned budget and what you've spent. EventTally shows what's left, warns you when you go over, and works out the cost per guest - the number that actually matters.

PDF day-of run sheet
Build a clean, printable PDF with your event details, shopping plan, budget, and tasks in run order - ready to hand to a co-host or tape to the fridge.

Shopping-list CSV
Share the computed shopping list as a spreadsheet-ready CSV, alongside the existing summary and tasks CSV.

Also
- The Today dashboard now shows your real guest count, supply-line count, and budget left.
- The smart brief mentions your guest count, supply lines, and budget status.
- Everything is still 100% offline: no account, no ads, no tracking.

### 1.1 — 2026-06-01

Premium app icon refresh, cleaner in-app version details, and small reliability polish.

### 1.0 — 2026-05-19

No release notes.
