Instead of focusing on improving they urged us to remove our statement.
About two months ago, we relied on the ratings on EventSource.ca while evaluating a vendor. When we posted a critical review of that vendor on the platform, the review was removed almost immediately after the vendor disputed it. We were then asked to submit supporting documents, which we did.
Even after providing the required documents, we did not receive a clear timeline for reinstatement, and there was no follow-up for quite some time.
Instead of focusing on improving how reviews are handled fairly between vendors and users, the platform — through its legal counsel — urged us to remove our statement. That experience felt discouraging, as if ordinary users’ voices carry less weight than those of businesses with professional representation.
When I looked at EventSource’s 5-star ratings, many seemed to come from vendors or businesses advertising on the platform, while only a few appeared to be from end-users. That imbalance raises questions about whose perspectives are most visible.
Public reviews are meant to promote transparency and help consumers make informed choices. It’s concerning when honest feedback invites pressure rather than dialogue.

Worst experience
I posted my review on Google about two months ago. Since then, I’ve received multiple messages — including one that warned of potential legal action if I didn’t remove it. That alone raises serious concerns about how they manage feedback.
To the best of my knowledge, my review reflects my genuine experience. I provided all supporting documents to the platform. They did not commit to any timeline, and from the tone of their message, it appeared possible the review process could drag out for weeks or even months ⏳. Following that, I did not receive any further response until after I ultimately reposted my review on Google 📢.
I’m now publishing this as a revised review, because both the vendor and their legal counsel warned that they might sue me if I did not remove it.
This has been a frustrating and intimidating experience, and I believe consumers should be able to share honest feedback without fear of being silenced.
My BIG question: how did they obtain my mailing address?! 😡
⚠️ From what I observed, this platform seemed to favor vendors over users — for instance, by removing my review promptly and requesting I provide evidence rather than insisting the vendor support their dispute.

Don’t trust the reviews — the app owner has ties with vendors
We trusted the ratings and ended up working with a fraudulent vendor. When we shared our review, it was immediately removed, and we were asked to provide proof because the vendor disputed it. We submitted all the evidence, but the platform simply responded that reviewing it could take months.
Perfect for wedding planning
Really great for planning my wedding in Toronto
