## What is Everburn?

You wake with no name and no past. Just a dying fire in front of you, and the cold pressing in from every side.

Feed it. Forage in the dark, hunt what you can, craft what you need, and hold the cold off for one more night.

You won't last long. That's the point.

Everburn is a survival incremental about starting over. Every life is short, and every death teaches you something. You come back a little stronger, a little sharper, your fire catching faster than the last time. The wall that killed you becomes the ground you stand on. Death by death, you push deeper into the world.

And it's a real world. The whole game is text: words on a screen and a fire that spreads wider the longer you survive. You climb out of the woods into the valley, feel your way through the crystal caves, and reach colder, stranger places the deeper you go.

Line up your actions and watch a life run itself. Automate what you've mastered. Close the app and the fire keeps burning, so you always come back to more than you left behind.

And it ends. 11 chapters, a real final one, and then you're done. The first chapters are free. One purchase opens the rest, and it's yours for good. No ads, no subscriptions, ever.

How far can one life take you, when you've got as many as it takes?

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.0.4 — 2026-08-09

You asked for:

Buildings and tools now say what they actually do.

Food shows what it heals, and has its own section in your stock.

Partial progress survives switching between several jobs, not just one.

Fixes:

The ember cache was paying far too much for claiming it constantly. Now it pays for waiting.

The opening no longer tells you to stock food before you have any.

New Game+ now warns you that chapters reset.

Also:

Queue counts go x1, x5, x10, x20, and infinite.

Rebuilt sounds. New players start silent; if you had sound on, it stays on. Toggle in Settings.

Warmer colours, and the faint text is readable now.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-08-01

Your fire keeps working while you're away, and now it remembers more.

FINDS
While you work you'll turn up the occasional cache, a richer seam, or a real windfall. It's never nothing for long: a find is guaranteed if you go dry, so bad luck can't stall you.

KEEP THE FIRE LIT
Play on consecutive days and the first death you bank each day pays extra. Miss a day and the fire goes cold, but you can rekindle it instead of starting over.

EMBERS
Your fire banks a cache while the app is closed. The longer you leave it, the more there is to claim.

RECORDS
Longest life, deepest chapter reached, fastest clears, lives lived. Every run now has a number to beat.

SHARE YOUR FIRE
A card from your run you can send to anyone.

ALSO
Second lives start faster. Your instincts carry more of the last life forward than they used to, and you feel it in the first few seconds.
The chapter name at the top opens the map now.
Optional reminders, off unless you turn them on.
Death tells you what's next: the wall ahead, and what's one repeat away from running itself.

A NOTE ON THE FREE TIER
New players now get chapter 1 free, and one purchase unlocks the other ten. If you already had more than that, you keep it. Nothing you could play before is locked now.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-07-24

Chapter names refreshed so the map reads clearly at a glance. Tidied up the store and purchase screens. Thanks for playing.

### 1.0 — 2026-07-20
