## What is Everdo?

Everdo is a powerful GTD task manager built for people who want their productivity system to just work — offline, private, and fast.

Unlike cloud-dependent apps, Everdo stores your data locally on your device. No account required. No internet needed. Your tasks are always accessible, and syncing is entirely optional.

Built for real GTD practice:
Inbox, Next Actions, Waiting For and Someday/Maybe views.
Projects and Areas to organize commitments at every level.
Context tags and energy/time filters to surface the right task at the right moment.
Notebooks for reference material that doesn't belong on your lists.

Why Everdo:
Offline-first — works anywhere, no loading spinners.
Privacy by design — your data stays on your devices. No subscription required for the core app. Available on all your devices.
Sync your tasks across devices with optional sync service.

### 2/5 — Muss noch reifen

*2026-05-26, version 1.9.3*

Aufgaben ohne Zuweisung verschwinden in der Datenbank. Das darf nicht sein.

So macht die App zwar einen guten Eindruck, ist aber für die Leistung zu teuer.

### 5/5 — Excellent App with great Desktop companion

*2025-10-13, version 1.7.1*

Very good GTD app, can sync locally (WLAN) to Desktop app which runs on Linux, Mac, Windows etc. and also wirelessly secure over the Internet.

### 4/5 — Review

*2025-05-31, version 1.7.0*

This app is very useful and makes my planning for my weeks productive however it is hard to use. And hope there can be a tutorial or guide of how to use it.

### 4/5 — Best GTD app

*2024-08-06, version 1.7.0*

This app’s great. They do so much right. It’s on par with Nirvana but it feels a little more modern.

With that being said, some feedback:

Features:
- An actual priority would be nice. Yeah, labels can suffice, but labels aren’t mutually-exclusive. It also feels weird seeing priorities scattered randomly in the labels set when creating a task.
- Dependencies. Since you have “waiting for”, you could just make a task an option in addition to a contact label. Dependencies would be amazing.
- A “wait” date-time like Org and TaskWarrior have. It’s so helpful to be able to create a task, e.g., on the weekend for “Call ACME about Foo” but have it wait until Monday because you can’t do that task until then and you don’t want to be bothered by that task until then.
- Syncing with local storage would be cool because then I could use SyncThing with Mobius.

UX related:
- I like that contexts are prefixed with “@“ but I had to Google that to figure it out. Maybe something in the app to suggest that labels prefixed with “@“ are contexts.
- I hate to be this person, but I think having some simple color scheme options would be a big win. Personally, not a fan of the green color. Lucky for y’all, the NirvanaHQ blue is worse.
- The menu is VERY frustrating to use. I prefer swiping to open/close the left menu, which the app supports about half the time. Closing requires you to tap outside the menu or tapping the menu button at the top – not very ergonomic. It would be nice to be able to reliably swipe the menu like users generally expect from an iOS app.
- Overall, the app can feel janky at times. Transitions are not very fluid.

### 5/5 — Great GTD app

*2024-03-10, version 1.6.9*

Cross platform, E2EE, works seamlessly. One of the best implementations of GTD I have found.

### 4/5 — I really like this app, but one bug is buggin’ me!

*2023-11-22, version 1.6.9*

This is the best GTD app I’ve encountered, but recently the iPad app is not always usable. The Add item button disappears in Stage manager mode and does not always reappear even after closing the app and reopening. Please fix this when you can! It’s only bothersome because the app is otherwise so useful.

### 1/5 — No dark theme - will reinstall when there is

*2023-11-11, version 1.6.9*

No dark theme - will reinstall when there is

### 1/5 — No Realistic Backup Option

*2023-04-09, version 1.6.7*

That the developer did not add the ability for users to backup to iCloud completely defeats the purpose of GTD. The core idea is that a system must be reliable. The dev could still charge a fee to sync across devices.

I’d be happy to pay a fee to buy this app, however not an expensive yearly sync fee just to have some kind of backup, when all I want is to use on one device.

It’s a shame as this app has a lot of potential.

### 5/5 — Great App for My GTD Practice!

*2022-10-15, version 1.6.6*

I’ve been able to incorporate all my GTD practices into Everdo and improve my ability to Capture new items anywhere, anytime. I really enjoy the scan/OCR capability. Thank you for building and sharing a fantastic app!

### 3/5 — La aplicación rival de Nirvana

*2022-06-26, version 1.6.3*

La estoy probando pero le veo algunas carencias, eso si, el sistema es perfecto para implantar GTD.

Pero falta modo oscuro
Compilación para Apple Watch
Integración con Siri
Y idioma español
Mejor interfaz (colores mas suaves)
