### 2/5 — Can’t give gifts ?

*2025-10-20*

Edit: Trying this again, because I care about the cause, and have gotten back to level 12. The game play is tedious compared to the previous version, and I’m wondering if I should be able to give gifts by now? There is no mechanism I can find for that now.

Earlier review:
Today I opened the game to finish a mission and everything was gone. (I think I was at level 22. )I was going to play through again and rebuild what I lost. I especially liked a pearl rabbit I had tucked away in storage. I started to grind through again. One of my favorite activities this summer was untangling what everyone’s favorite items were. I especially liked hopping from character to character and making trades to get a needed item. So getting those pearls again was going to be worth it. Now it seems there will be no special items at all? So I really can’t see future enjoyment in going through all the reruns knowing that the things I enjoyed most have been removed. No art heist? No secret key? And don’t get me started on how long it took to get that level 14 gnome.:( What’s worse is there was absolutely no warning. So I couldn’t even take a screenshot for memories’ sake. I loved the real tree planting while having fun, but … this is no longer fun.

### 3/5 — Railroads now

*2025-10-18*

Since the latest update, it feels a lot more limited. I miss the slow progression where you fixed one thing here, then there, and I could choose what to focus on to grow my forest bit by bit. Earning stardust for finishing the quests is fine, just maybe have multiple options on where I could spend it?

I also miss the special quests for individual animals. Now it seems like there’s no way to increase your friendship except by level up? Giving gifts doesn’t raise friendship, I think Fuzzalot is glitched so he can’t receive anything, and all the animals like different things now.

Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy and recommend this game. I’m already back to level 19, it still has cute graphics, and I love that I’m contributing to the environment!

### 4/5 — Broken

*2025-10-09*

All of the entities look like white squares what is with that.

### 4/5 — Great but

*2025-10-03*

I love the game but I just updated and lost all of my progress😭. Not too bad, guess I’ll start over.

### 4/5 — Need help

*2025-09-06*

I can't figure out what these creatures like as gifts. Also, are you ever gonna upgrade again? I'm gonna delete if ya don't

### 4/5 — Overall enjoyable

*2025-07-21*

So far I’ve really enjoyed the game but there’s one super annoying bug; sometimes the energy just doesn’t recharge even when I’ve left for hours. Please fix this.

### 2/5 — broken?

*2025-07-09, version 0.210.4920*

the game won't open, it just gets stuck loading endlessly

### 4/5 — Loading Problems

*2025-06-29*

I love any game that actually helps the environment, and it sounds like a really good game based on other reviews, but there's one problem: the game's not loading. It says it's loading, but it doesn't actually leave the loading screen. I would love to play this game, but it's just not working. Do I have to have all my other apps closed? Does it not work for Apple devices?

### 2/5 — Won’t load

*2024-10-08, version 0.160.90*

Keeps saying to go the App Store and update the app, but I have and there are no more.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2024-09-30*

### 1/5 — This was my favorite casual play game.

*2025-10-04*

Today I opened the game to finish a mission and everything was gone. (I think I was at level 22. )I was going to play through again and rebuild what I lost. I especially liked a pearl rabbit I had tucked away in storage. I started to grind through again.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t load

*2025-01-03*

App just shows a loading screen and nothing else. No errors after waiting a few minutes. Uninstalled.

### 1/5 — Broken

*2024-12-29, version 0.180.94*

Looks cute but doesn’t go past the title screen.

### 1/5 — Newest update makes game unplayable

*2024-10-30*

Newest update makes game unplayable. I get the message “client version outdated, your client is out of date. Please go to the store and upgrade to the latest version.” Before playing the game I had updated it to the update from yesterday. Please fix.

### 1/5 — Game assist

*2024-07-11, version 0.140.80*

Why can’t I turn off the “assist” hand?

It completely runs the game play.

Also the graphics are clunky and hard to read

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — great cause, a few suggestions

*2025-11-24*

great merge game for a great cause, no “we’re planting Trees ™ Somewhere”, we know exactly what the project is and where and why.
as far as gameplay, the only actual frustration I have is that leveling up refills your energy but it doesn’t overflow, so you effectively lose any energy that you already had. for the introductory segment it allowed for overflow, which makes this feel really strange. please add an ability to overflow energy when you level up, or allow us to wait to accept the level up—It’s very annoying when I forget to check how much xp i need to level and accidentally waste energy, especially because it’s easy to level when you use items.
also, a built in dictionary/recordbook of what items you’ve gifted to what creature would be super nice! that way you don’t have to write things down elsewhere.

### 5/5 — Won’t load

*2025-10-27*

I got an iPhone 17 Pro but the game doesn’t load

### 5/5 — Great - Three Trees!

*2025-08-30*

I’ve tried other merge games before but always stopped because the limited energy systems got too frustrating. This is as good or better than all the others I’ve tried - and lets you watch an ad or two to get more energy without making it an obligation. I haven’t been playing too long, but I already have three trees! There’s a section where you can track their global tree planting progress as well. The only issue I’ve found is that if you click on one of the little creatures you have to either accept their mission or close out of the game - I can’t find how to decline. 10/10!

### 5/5 — Pal

*2025-08-13*

So when I rejoined the game after a few months, pal was gone, and I can’t get sun or water any other way. The game is officially unplayable

### 5/5 — Helping the environment!

*2025-07-08*

Any game that helps the environment (and proves that it does so) is automatically 5 stars. Devs, thank you for making a fun game and giving back to the world!

As for the gameplay. Even if you’re completely free-to-play, you still have the opportunity to plant trees. I have yet to encounter any forced ads, and after watching a handful of reward ads you get a bonus reward, so all in all it’s a win-win. The only problem is that it suffers from the typical merge game issue of wait times. Not only does the player have energy which can run out, but each of the item generators (or collectors, because they’re animal-characters in this case) have limits and cooldowns as well. This wouldn’t be a problem if each generator didn’t have such a small number of items to give before needing a cooldown. They can be upgraded, but early-game (which is where I am) goes slowly because of it.

However, the art is very charming, and the characters have fun dialogue. Helping restore the forest and unlocking new things along the way is rewarding and fun. Merging is simple and not overwhelming (at least for now), so overall it’s a solid game! Plus you get to plant trees :)

EDIT:
I’ve been playing for about a month now. The progression speeds up once you get farther in, although early game is still a little slow unless you want to blow through all of your diamonds.

What this game really needs is a way to increase your energy limit. You’ll reach a spot where multiple of your animals require 100+ energy to even clear, and obviously at that point you’re stuck waiting, watching ads until they no longer load, or spending your diamonds. Maybe we could have an overall friendship level? When you gain hearts for an animal, you could contribute to your own level, which then upped your energy cap? I think it would scale nicely.

### 5/5 — Update

*2024-11-02*

Edited to update: After sending this review, a few hours later the app fixed itself and became playable again. (So it may have been a glitch with the update). Game is very enjoyable and developers respond to players. Looking forward to what’s to come

Newest update makes game unplayable. I get the message “client version outdated, your client is out of date. Please go to the store and upgrade to the latest version.” Before playing the game I had updated it to the update from yesterday. Please fix.

### 5/5 — Can’t progress

*2024-11-01*

I opened the Umi present box before the game gave me the present box tutorial. Now the tutorial progress resets every time I open the game, and if I made any progress in the game, that gets reset too. The Umi chest never comes back, and I can’t even reset my save data to fix this problem. There’s nothing I can do to fix this on my own, and I will never technically be able to play this ever again if this isn’t fixed. Please fix this ASAP
