Paying £160 for the box and getting the app to record and do some fine editing was worth it. Now you have to subscribe for functionality. Probably going to sell this off and get the Howler instead. Aus meiner Sicht völlig völlig I.O. Jetzt aber mit ein paar lahmen Zusatzfeatures den Leuten monatlich Geld aus den Rippen leiern zu wollen, finde ich richtig mies. I’d rather throw my Evermix in the bin than pay you the subscription, so that’s what I’ve done and shall be moving to another product. Da quando avete aggiornato l’app non si può fare più nulla. Inutile avere un buon hardware se il software è pessimo. Davvero fate qualcosa perché così non va! Apple accepted the subscription but the Evermix app says I don’t have one which means I can’t record video. I was going to use it to record my DJ podcast this weekend but I can’t. I’ve tried everything, cancelling subscription, deleting the app and downloading, restarting my phone, redoing the subscription, restore purchases, sign out of media and pitched and signing back in…..nothing works FFS 🤬🤬 I have messaged support but no answer yet, I will be returning it on Monday!!!! ### 1/5 — UI is HORRIBLE *2026-07-31* I would rate this 5 stars BUT the UI on this doesn’t let you scroll past the stream option on TikTok, if the UI doesn’t work on the free version don’t expect somebody to pay for premium. And what really sucks is I absolutely love this product but my iPhone 12 has an older version which runs way better and doesn’t require premium and just simply plug and play records. My iPhone 15 has issues with the UI and it’s gonna be way easier to replace the broken glass of my old iPhone 12 Pro before they actually will fix the UI issues. You can click but you can’t scroll. Such a simple fix, but also such a shame nobody even tested this out. 0/10 until fixed will not recommend and I am absolutely let down. ### 1/5 — Poor app *2026-07-28* This app is very clunky. $6 a month to do things that many other apps can do for free. I highly recommend exploring different options ### 1/5 — App never works *2026-07-28* Always a problem with this app not working, you’d think with the amount of money you pay for everything it would at least get the simple things right but no do not waste your money on this as half of the time it doesn’t even work. ### 1/5 — Paywalling Features We Already Paid For *2026-07-21* I’ve supported and used Evermix since the very first crowdfunded box, and I’ve purchased every version right through to the latest Evermix Box 5. I understand that the company has changed hands since the first two releases, but I’m genuinely disgusted that the crowd-channel input—a feature that has been heavily marketed as one of the Evermix Box’s main selling points—has now apparently been placed behind a paywall. Long-term customers have already paid a premium for the hardware, so charging an additional subscription to access a core feature feels greedy and completely disrespectful to the DJs and community who supported the brand from the beginning. Evermix once appeared to be a company built with genuine love for DJ culture. Sadly, it now feels like just another corporate franchise focused on extracting as much money as possible from its users. At this point, I would rather put my Evermix boxes in the bin than give this once-great company any more of my money. ### 1/5 — You Need A Subscription *2026-07-17* Not only do they charge you $320 for a cheap piece of tech, they have the nerve to charge you a monthly subscription to use it ### 1/5 — Can’t subscribe! *2026-07-09, version 5.9.0* After a review, I was promised a years subscription which never came! Now I want to pay as I’d like to upload mixes I can’t! Absolutely shocking! Not happy after spending so much on what is now basically a useless box! Avoid at all costs! ### 1/5 — Paying for what was Free *2026-07-04* I bought my evermix back in year 2022. Was able to record my mixes and edited. All for free after my purchase. Then a big update happened and everything was still free. Now you want to charge me a monthly Subscription for things I was able to do for free after buying and owning my product. I cannot recommend this app or the equipment used to record. I absolutely love the device. The original app was ok - simple enough, workable, and didn’t try to put functionality behind a SECOND pay wall. I mean, we already bought the freaking hardware!! The app should be there to make the hardware function, not try to extract more money out of us and make things MORE complicated. Not to mention, when listening in the new app, if you leave the app and come back, it completely refreshes and forgets both the file you were listening to, and the time stamp of where you left off. This thing is perfect for capturing DJ mixes and the option to optimize volume after recording is super useful. Considering that other devices I’ve used don’t offer an app counterpart, it’s a nice option to have when you need to optimize/upload your recordings on the go. ### 5/5 — So useful! *2026-07-09* I love the fact that I can link my streaming accounts and now live stream from the app and keep my recordings. The auto normalisation feature is a godsend too! ### 5/5 — Super easy to use *2026-07-09* I’ve had the interface a while now and can say that the app is really easy to use. For me, the winning features are speed of setup; you can be recording within seconds of opening the app, and having the audio level so clearly visible; So important for a clean recording and so often missing from other apps I’ve tried. It’s also really nice to have the video and audio settings close to hand as sometimes I like to make long recordings without totally filling my phone storage. I can take really long videos at a lower resolution, whilst keeping the audio quality high. It’s fit and forget stuff. Latest update addressed some issues some I’m excited to see what comes in the future. ### 5/5 — Evermix has changed how I record and share my sets *2026-07-09* Brilliant quality, easy to use, and makes my mixes sound professional.
