### 3/5 — Wellllllllll

*2017-12-06, version 4.2.1*

I bought this EverWebClipper recently for improving Evernote.
Actually, I expect it would work like Chrome Evernote Web Clipper.

When I clip a any web page, I don’t want to get ads or sort of menu, the category thing. I just wanted to get only title and main content, picture something. But this app doesn’t work like that. Just clip everything on a webpage. So, I just a little bit disappointed about this EverWebClipper.

Even though, this EverWebClipper is better than Safari Evernote Web Clipper. At least, this one is just can clip only text and picture, not UI image things, as set “simple”. Surely, I have to fix Evetenote after clip a webpage.

And, I just wonder. I have an iPhone 8 Plus, iPad 10.5 and software versions are IOS 11.2 both, and then, I tried to test for both. It doesn’t matter in iPhone 8 Plus, but it doesn’t work in iPad 10.5. Well, if I copy the url and paste in this app directly, it does work. But, if I put on EverWebCipper to share button in Safari, and I tried to tab this one, it doesn’t work. I don’t know why, so, when I was using this one on iPad 10.5, I just copy and paste on directly.

I am going to put 3 stars for Ever Web Clipper. That’s why that reasons what I wrote. I will write down a couple of things what I want. Thank you ~

- Support IOS 11
- EverWebClipper HD version(for iPad)
- Remove ads(on webpage, not application lol)

### 3/5 — Repair

*2015-11-24, version 4.1.0*

Need to fix it quick so it works again

### 3/5 — ok app

*2014-07-05, version 3.3.0*

It clips web pages. Not the more intuitional to use, but better than nothing. I'll continue to look for a better product, but in the meantime at least I have something to get articles into Evernote from my iPhone.

### 2/5 — Has potential, but ...

*2014-06-25, version 3.3.0*

I downloaded this app to save articles from my iPhone 5c to Evernote. While it worked initially, the clipper now only seems to be able to save thumbnails, not full articles or even links.

### 3/5 — Love the app, dislike the drop puts

*2014-04-05, version 3.2.2*

When it works it's great. Convenient when using with my Evernote app however some days you hit the app and it drops right out it again drops right out etc.

### 2/5 — Keeps crashing

*2014-03-15, version 3.2.1*

This app crashes almost every time I try to use it. But when it works, it works easily and well. The UI could use some work (it uses nonstandard text fields, for instance), but it's functional. If only it would work without crashing, it would be worth money.

### 3/5 — Can't save receipts

*2013-12-13, version 3.2.1*

A nice idea that works except for the main reason I bought it: you cannot save webpages that you are logged into, such as purchase receipts.

### 2/5 — Great when it works

*2013-11-12, version 3.2.0*

I was really enjoying this app to get recipes into Evernote. Suddenly it started crashing all the time, and I can't even get one clip in. 😣

### 2/5 — Good Idea - Lousy Execution

*2013-10-13, version 3.2.0*

The installation of the bookmarklet is a pain. When you click in the app, it is supposed to install the javascript that you have to edit during the setup. It doesn't. You try to copy it out of the app so you can paste...you can't. Manually entering it is a challenge.

Once you manage to get it set up, it works sporadically. Sometimes when you try to save a page it will open in the app but about half the time it doesn't. If it does open the app, part of the time it doesn't transfer the data over (URL and Title). Trying to change notebooks to save the page to fails. Or the save itself times out. Could be wonderful but it isn't.

### 2/5 — Works, kinda

*2013-10-02, version 3.2.0*

Most websites just don't work well with this. Particularly mobile versions -- and the developers made their clip box so big that "save" falls either to the left or right of the available space, meaning that you can't push save. Very frustrating the particular way idly doesn't work. Eliminate a few options on clip, slim down the entry box, and this could be a great app.

### 1/5 — This does not work at all

*2013-06-06, version 3.0.2*

I can confirm the observations of other reviewers that this does not work. There does not appear to be any way of getting a refund either.

### 4/5 — Use this for BOTH iPhone and iPad

*2013-04-28, version 2.2.5*

They have two apps, one for iPad and one for iPhone. They both use a custom bookmark and custom URL. HOWEVER, they don't use the same URL, so you need to make two bookmarks, one for each version.
If you buy the iPhone version, you can run it on your iPad just fine. And since you don't really need to interact with the app much, the smaller app isn't a problem. Save yourself a couple bucks and even more headache of remembering which bookmark is which.

### 1/5 — Five stars for geeks

*2013-04-16, version 2.2.4*

This product does not work upon down load. Neither does it work after following the expectedly obtuse directions. The five-star reviewers admit as much and reference work-around and hack.

That is not a five star product. Give YOURSELF five stars for being the geek who hacked and worked around to get this criminal's useless product to work.

### 4/5 — Excellent App- Works Well!

*2013-04-06, version 2.2.2*

I am with everyone here who likes this app a lot. The instructions are indeed straightforward and the app works exactly as advertised. You just need to be aware that there's a little bit of a lag after you clip so you need to be patient until you get the alert that the page has been clipped and then can fill in the header information.

### 1/5 — Total disaster for iPhone

*2013-02-04, version 2.2.1*

Either get a service unavailable message or the Evernote login box won't size properly on screen

### 1/5 — IMPOSSIBLE TO SETUP

*2013-02-04, version 2.2.1*

Why is it that really smart people, forget to find someone who can write English to create documentation!!

1. The Instructions do not tell you how to actually set it up, I have been a user and sometime coder of IOS from the start and I am totally confused. It asks you do do something IOS cannot do.

2. It never actually tells you how to work it. Oh you can fiddle with it and sort of get it to do some things in an convoluted way, sometimes. But it is far less painful to do it manually.

SUGGESTIONS
1) GET SOMEONE TO WRITE UNDERSTANDABLE INSTRUCTIONS.
Not understandable by the author, understandable by a user!!!!!

2) Seriously rethink your idea of charging money for something incomplete and poorly documented, some people might consider this dishonest!!

I CERTAINLY DO NOT APPRECIATE SPENDING MONEY FOR SOMETHING THAT DOES NOT WORK.

### 1/5 — I should get a refund

*2019-09-13, version 4.2.1*

This not only does not work, it freezes up my iPad. Did it more than once. How can I get a refund?

### 1/5 — It freezes my new XS Max

*2019-05-02, version 4.2.1*

I got this for my Evernote. Ive tried it on both safari & chrome browsers & it freezes both of them up when I try clipping anything. And the instructions aren’t very clear either. Nice idea but it needs better options.

### 1/5 — Unless I get some assistance worst purchase ever

*2016-07-15, version 4.1.0*

I was probably stupid for buying the bundle. Can't see any difference between web clipper and clever clipper. Can't get either of them working right. No directions. What is styled vs simple? How to get rid of stuff mistakenly clipped. Was supposed to save me time. So far a black hole for time.

### 1/5 — What am I missing

*2015-08-22, version 4.0.3*

I downloaded this app thinking I needed it to clip web pages for Evernote. I don't understand what or how I'm supposed to use as stand alone. The text is all scrunched together so difficult to read. Where does it save web page to? It seems as though it's missing something or maybe it didn't finish downloading .

### 1/5 — Flakey at best

*2015-03-23, version 4.0.2*

This app is one of my biggest regrets. It crashes almost constantly, and when it does manage to load the note? It opens it in web clipper and not in evernote!

I would much rather save my sites to Pocket and then use IFTTT to store them in evernote.

### 1/5 — Does Not Work! Poor UI! Time-Consuming! FAIL

*2014-01-12, version 3.2.1*

I wanted a great web clipper that worked with Evernote, so I believed the two recent, positive reviews listed. Please don't make the same mistake I did. I've just wasted an hour attempting to make the app function properly.

By following the instructions you can easily download the web clipper into Safari ... that's not the issue. From there, you can clip a page, but...

(1) The clipped page opens into the EverClipper app -- not Evernote. What's the point?!?? That's just further wasting my time. Multiple steps are needed within the app before even getting to Evernote.
(2) THEN, it will take anywhere from 1 to 5 to 10 minutes for the clip to get from the app into Evernote.
(3) Once in Evernote, the formatting is completely off and the clip looks awful!!
(4) And to make matters worse... The app crashed 10 times in the hour I was using it.... So much so that after an hour of frustration I went into settings to Write the Devs to ask for my money back -- and the app wouldn't Stay Open long enough for me to write the email!!
DON'T DOWNLOAD this app. #MajorFail

### 1/5 — Don't waste your money!

*2013-12-30, version 3.2.1*

Downloaded and installed. The interface if so flaky and poor it's faster to copy the page text, open your Evernote app, create a new page then paste the text into the note.

### 1/5 — Clipper creates ugly notes, no ability to select what's clipped.

*2013-12-24, version 3.2.1*

Clipper creates ugly notes, no ability to select what's clipped, screws up formatting and has to then be cleaned up in Evernote. I want my money back.

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2013-09-10, version 3.1.3*

I believe this app is fraudulent. Nothing to do with Evernote, yet gives access to your Evernote account. Do not buy. If you do, revoke access ASAP. I want my money back. I welcome contact by the creator if this app is legitimate, then I can write a better review!!

### 1/5 — What a rip-off!!

*2013-06-07, version 3.0.2*

This guy just stole money from me. This app doesn't work. It feels like it almost could work and I was determined to figure out what I was doing wrong in the set up process .... Spent WAY too much time with no luck. What a WASTE. And so expensive. REALLY TOC???? And now I know not to buy any of your other apps as well. Don't trust TOC

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Does what it says

*2014-06-05, version 3.3.0*

Got it working in Safari with built in instructions, 5 minutes.

Thanks to the other reviewer who posted how to get it working in Chrome, my preferred browser. Again, 5 minutes. Hint to the developers, Adding these instructions to the app would be super simple.

There may be a better or cheaper way to do this that I wasn't able to find but the app was quick and worth it. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Works perfectly so far!

*2014-01-09, version 3.2.1*

I've only used it for a few articles so far, but it seems to work like a charm! The clippings look very good in this version and the java applet for Safari makes clipping seamless. No crashes yet. At 2.99 with such low ratings it's a risk, but I'm glad I gave it a try.

### 5/5 — Current version is awesome

*2013-11-28, version 3.2.1*

I was a little hesitant to buy this due to several negative reviews. It seems like people had troubles installing the Safari bookmark on previous versions, but I had no problem. It only takes a minute or two and there are instructions to walk you through it. If you follow the instructions, the app works great. Thanks to the developer -- I've been looking for a way to do this for years.

### 5/5 — Works Just Fine

*2013-03-06, version 2.2.1*

Feel compelled to write a review to say that this app works just fine. Installation, as others have already said, is no more difficult than any other bookmarklet from Evernote, Pocket, etc. I appreciate the ability to set clip style, mobilizer, etc. This app works better than the current free Evernote bookmarklet as it does not require you to frequently sign in, the EN solution would not render the settings window properly, etc. Do agree though that some web documentation would be nice but it isn't that complicated.

### 5/5 — App needs some love

*2013-01-10, version 2.2.1*

I'm looking at all the negative reviews and am scratching my head thinking, really? I followed the well-documented instructions, and it worked exactly as described, and quite well I might add.

### 5/5 — Works Wonderfully!

*2013-01-05, version 2.2.1*

tl;dr - Works perfectly, negative reviewers are clueless or just impatient.

I must say that I'm rather confused by the negative reviews as this app works exactly as advertised. My guess is that most of the reviewers are clueless as to the complexity of replicating the desktop web clipper in a closed mobile system like iOS. The instapaper bookmarklet instructions are very similar (and do a similar function) though this app has FAR more capabilities. This has been exactly what I've been looking for for quite some time. The full web pages come through to Evernote tagged and in the folder I want without requiring any keystrokes other than bookmarking the page.

Here is the thing, if your expecting just to download the app and go your going to be disappointed. You have to connect it with your EN account and then do the minor hack (easy process) to make the bookmarklet work in Safari. I'm running it on iOS 6.0.1 and, like I said, it work as advertised, as expected, and as needed (and no, there's no chlorophyll in this review).

### 5/5 — Great way to store: everything on the web!!

*2012-10-31, version 2.2.0*

Im satisfied with the app, now I can always keep an organized list to reference back to, save to, keep in mind for later!!

I can now save, title, & store for later any photos I come across online, URL web addresses, screen shots of a whole webpage, etc... all in an organized fashion too! I can reference my clips into personal categories (much like Pinterest) and search for my saved clips by Title, alphabetically, or searching keywords).

My personal favorite reason for getting this app was to keep track of my Instructional videos "How-to" craft ideas from various websites all over without sharing for all to view my page like some social networking websites out there. It's extremely personal :) thanks for the great app!

### 5/5 — Works great, best web clipper available!

*2012-10-15, version 2.2.0*

I don't know what is wrong with some people but this app has worked fantastic for me for over a year. No, you can select specific divs and advanced desktop like features... It's an iPhone! If you are trying to be a dummy who wants their iPhone to be a desktop replacement then look elsewhere, standard users will find this app incredibly useful!

### 5/5 — Exactly what I needed

*2012-08-06, version 2.0.0*

This app helps you clip a web page from iOS Safari to Evernote. I've been looking for something like this for quite a while, and though the price is a bit high, it's worth it.

How it works:
- find a page in Safari you want to clip to Evernote
- choose the custom bookmark
- adjust title, notebook, or tags if desired
- done

So why all the negative reviews?

The only way for the app to do its work is to find out the URL of the current page. Right now the only way to do that is with a custom bookmark. Unfortunately Apple does not make it easy for apps to add bookmarks to Safari. So the setup is a bit wonky, but that's not the app's fault.

### 5/5 — No problem.

*2012-08-02, version 2.0.0*

This app just works for me.
