Had same issues in LA and now experiencing same issues in Bay Area. Fix your charging stations ### 3/5 — No repair *2026-07-26, version 26.8.1* EVGo leaves chargers broken and non-functional forever. ### 1/5 — Most unreliable and unusable network out there UPDATED: THEY RETALIATED *2026-07-22, version 26.8.1* I have had an EVgo membership for over 2.5 years. 95% of my attempts to use their stations end in failure. This includes all available methods to activate the charger, including autocharge, RFID card, multiple credit cards, and the mobile app, and is consistent across all locations in their network. Support has been completely useless, and has tried to tell me that the problem is with me, my car, or my first party official adapter, which all seem to work completely fine at the literally hundreds of other charging stations I’ve tried in the two years and 52,000 miles that I’ve had my car. Never and I mean NEVER plan on relying on them. UPDATE: they posted a nice reply here, meanwhile behind the scenes, THEY CLOSED MY ACCOUNT in retaliation for my complaints. Each Time I use the charger i have to call the main member to switch it. I have yet to see my refund. It keeps trying to charge my other cards on file. Some chargers cut vehicle charging off at 80% which is a huge factor if you used your EV for work! The app is glitchy and needs a major update. Other than those issues EVGO is my go to charging provider!! They charge better, faster, and give more range than electrify America and Tesla chargers! Use EVGO if you want a fast charge and longer range! I would’ve gave 5 stars if the app wasn’t so glitchy. The charger says to use the EVgo app so I download it and create an account. You must signup for a subscription before you can proceed, which I did, only to find out that all it does it let you know where the chargers are and that you actually need a different app to start charging. Well I’m standing next to the charger, I don’t need an app to find it! Do yourself a favor and skip this one. ### 1/5 — Barely functional *2026-08-14, version 26.10.0* This app is trash. Despite having all of my info stored and being enrolled in its programs, none of this ever shows up when I pull up to an EVgo charger.
