### 5/5 — Highly recommend

*2026-08-04, version 11.1.2*

I have been using Evlo consistently for seven months, and absolutely love it! I feel so much stronger and I am seeing the payoff of all my hard work. These are workouts that I actually enjoy, and I couldn’t recommend the program enough!

### 4/5 — Thankful for Evlo!

*2026-08-04, version 11.1.2*

I played soccer for many years but once I stopped I found it so difficult to exercise consistently without a schedule and a team holding me accountable. I’m in my late twenties now and discovered Evlo through a podcast episode and I was hooked after my free trial. It’s more affordable than a fitness studio and probably most gym memberships and you still have the benefit of new weekly classes with an instructor. You don’t feel the need to completely exhaust yourself in every workout and still you get stronger the more consistent you are. The alternative exercise swaps are also great and I’ve found myself being able to stay consistent because of all these things. My only wish is to be able to create my own track for the week. I usually pick my classes from the Library by Format but would love to add them to a customized track for the week that lives on the homepage. Thanks Evlo!

### 5/5 — Finally like strength training

*2026-08-03, version 11.1.2*

I’ve always had a hard time liking strength training and this finally got me to understand more and enjoy it. It takes the thinking out of planning what to do which has also been a game changer. And it’s so accessible no matter where you are in your strength training journey. Love it!

### 5/5 — The best workout program I’ve ever tried

*2026-08-03, version 11.1.2*

I’ve been an Evlo member for over a year and this is the most consistent I’ve ever been at working out. The focus on swapping out exercises for those that work for your body instead of powering through just to do it and practicing gentle consistency have really made this program stick for me. I’ve noticed an increase in my strength in day to day life (I can open all of the jars!) and I feel like I’m actually better informed about how my body moves and what muscles are being used from listening to the instructors. Everything is backed by research and science, not the latest social media challenge/trend.

### 5/5 — Practical, efficient and effective

*2026-08-03, version 11.1.2*

Very smart program that is for busy moms trying to get body back. Still new to the program but I feel stronger and excited to see where I am in a few months!

### 5/5 — A god send!

*2026-08-03, version 11.1.2*

Evlo has perfectly fit into my routine and helped me get so much stronger in just 3 months. I love the ability to pause the videos and take my time with the workouts, I feel that makes the exercises higher quality and more effective.

### 5/5 — Best program I’ve ever tried

*2026-08-03*

I’ve used Evlo off and on for almost the past 2 years now. I’ve never been an exercise type of person and have always hated exercising. My consistency isn’t always what I want it to be and between pregnancy and postpartum that’s made things a challenge. But when I am working out I always come back to Evlo. The workouts are enjoyable and take absolutely no effort from me except the actual doing of the workout. I hate planning workouts and I hate having to count reps and track things. Evlo takes all of that off my plate. Their programs are science based, easy on your joints, and I know I’m getting a balanced full body workout through the week . I’ve used their pregnancy and postpartum programs and they’re both fantastic.

This year I set a goal to lose 40 lbs and evlo has played a major role in helping me on my journey. I’m down about 25 lbs so far and feeling amazing. They always preach that exercise alone won’t help with fat loss and to that I will say diet has also played a major role in my journey. But Evlo is what has made me feel the most proud and the most strong along the way. Increasing my weights, lifting heavy and seeing my body get stronger before my eyes has been incredibly rewarding.

I wish the monthly subscription was more affordable, but they really pack as much value into the price as possible. At the end of the day I’m happy to pay the subscription for the benefits I’ve received and I do recommend this program to everyone!

### 5/5 — Best strength program!

*2026-08-03, version 11.1.2*

I’ve tried so many fitness programs and this is the one I’ve stuck to. I have been consistently following it for 8 months and have seen great results, and genuinely enjoy it because it’s actually sustainable!

### 5/5 — Worth it

*2026-08-03, version 11.1.2*

This is the only fitness app that I’ve used that I’ve been able to stay consistent with because it’s really that great and remains challenging and dynamic.

### 5/5 — Exceptional Results & Sustainability

*2026-08-03*

I am a 34-year-old woman and lifelong fitness enthusiast. From competitive ballet to yoga, pilates, hiking,
and so forth, I thought I understand what it meant to be “fit.” However, I also operated with a sense of fear - specifically feeling afraid that I always had to “close my rings” on my watch, push myself over the edge with effort for every single workout, and actively avoid the stigmatized concept of becoming “bulky.” After having my two babies (now age nearly 4 and 2), I am now the fittest and strongest I have ever been because of Evlo, and I have reached an aesthetic I never knew was possible. I now do not stress about workouts, actually enjoy them (what!), and genuinely look forward to my high quality, empowering, and very doable 35 minutes Monday through Friday. I wake up at 4am (I know), get my Evlo in from 4:30am to about 5am, and then I am off to the races with kids and headed to work. It has been life changing to pair my Evlo workouts with Dr. Shannon’s podcast, and to understand the science behind why my smart watch is not smarter than my body. Thank you so much for the exceptional work you do and for transforming my relationship to fitness to now be fearless and informed.

### 5/5 — The best

*2026-08-03, version 11.1.2*

Makes strength training simple, fun and effective. Exactly what I was looking for. So glad I found it in a sea of lesser options!

### 5/5 — Perfect “Fit”

*2026-08-02, version 11.1.2*

EVLO is the best workout program and has helped me become stronger and fitter over the last year. The program meets the needs of women as they age- lift heavy, mobility and breath work- the foundation of health for life AND looking great!

### 5/5 — The best

*2026-08-02, version 11.1.2*

Literally like no other workout program I’ve tried.

### 5/5 — Great fitness app

*2026-08-02, version 11.1.2*

Evlo

### 5/5 — 10/10 workout app!

*2026-08-01, version 11.1.2*

I look forward to the workouts, the app is super user friendly, instructors are fantastic, and I’m feeling great. Love evlo!

### 5/5 — The most consistent I’ve ever been in 6+ years of training.

*2026-08-01, version 11.1.2*

At first I was skeptical about the effectiveness of EVLO when I first joined in Jan 2026. The fitness industry made me believe that workouts need to be intense, sweaty, and leave me sore for days to see results. EVLO uses SCIENCE backed programming and the concept of gentle consistency to completely turn that notion on its head. In the past 7 months of constantly following EVLO, I have made more progress physically, mentally, and emotionally in my fitness journey that I have in the past 6 years. My body does not feel beat to the ground, I look forward to my workouts every day, and I have learned the habits and tools I need to stay consistent even when life gets busy. I’ve also made some crazy strength gains and can see my abs for the first time ever! EVLO truly changed my life and I recommend it to anyone looking for effective strength workouts that you can stay consistent with in all seasons of life. Thank you EVLO Team!

### 5/5 — Love love love

*2026-08-01, version 11.1.2*

Obsessed with evlo. I’m a personal trainer and I feel like I’ve even learned a lot that I didn’t learn when becoming a trainer. This program has allowed my body to feel strong AND calm and safe. Really loving this program

### 5/5 — The best

*2026-08-01*

I’ve been doing home fitness for six years and have tried many different platforms. Nothing compares to Evlo. It is so thoughtfully programmed and doesn’t burn your body into the ground.
I’m so thankful I found Evlo after my second pregnancy, I feel so much stronger and it doesn’t flare my hypermobility.

### 5/5 — Great Program

*2026-08-01, version 11.1.2*

I love the focus on form and isolation of the specific muscles to build strength.

### 5/5 — The best!

*2026-08-01, version 11.1.2*

I switched Pilates five days a week and have never been in better shape! I love how strengthening with a feminine energy. I look forward to my workouts and feel stronger than I ever have

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Too expensive

*2025-12-18, version 10.0.7*

Expensive compared to other online and even in-person programs or gym memberships. The platform needs work - it’s gotten so much bulkier in the last few years. Too many tabs, can’t accurately track weights because some days you lift heavier or for different timed sets. The app itself is buggy and I frequently need to force close the app for sound and video to line up correctly. The circuit tab has lots of errors - ie missing exercises or sets or incorrectly listed weight recommendations. The workouts aren’t as simple as when Evlo started - today I had to set out nearly all my weights to complete an upper body workout. It was nice for a while, but I think they are losing touch. For the expense, I expect a lot more.

Update 12/17: this most recent app update is the bulkiest yet. So much more clicking and drop-downs required to see the exercises, sets, and weights. And what is up with the new lights for filming - over-exposed and washed out.

### 1/5 — Too expensive

*2025-07-21, version 9.0.25*

### 1/5 — Tracks are locked based on providing personal info

*2025-07-14, version 9.0.25*

I signed up on web first and wanted to change the track - for that I was asked a ton of personal information that I don’t want to share to a random fitness app, without filling out all the details I am unable to change the track and do the workouts I needed. The app is no better - it also does not allow to change the track unless provided a very personal info. This is ridiculous for the app that costs on average 5 (!) times more than other programs like Form, Bthemethod, etc! You are just a fitness app and not my doctor, I should not have to provide sensitive PII to get your paid service! Needless to say, I canceled my subscription and will never get back to this app again

### 1/5 — Disappointment

*2022-08-22*

I found Dr Shannon in instagram a couple of days ago, and I did like her approach to the fitness. So, I decided to try her free week trial. BUT, it was a complete disappointment. It seemed like the trainer didn’t have a plan of training, and decided to give exercises just from your head, such fast switching between exercises in cardio is really annoying, it’s not a training, it’s a confusion. As for leg exercises, come on, they are different for the left and right legs since the very beginning, what the…? No counting time, no counting repetition. DISAPPOINTMENT

### 2/5 — Too expensive for what it offers so far

*2026-04-22, version 10.0.15*

I wanted to like this app! I was otherwise going to pay a personal trainer to periodically give me specialized exercises to do during pregnancy, so I was open to $50 a month even though it’s a LOT of money—I was shocked when i saw the price but I was hoping it was worth it! Unfortunately this app still seems to be figuring out exactly what it is it offers its customers. It’s really just lengthy fitness videos—nothing is broken down by exercise, as they are in other fitness apps. This means you have to watch a full 40 minute video on your phone to understand the workout, presumably *while* you’re doing the workout, which slows you down, makes it hard for you to listen to your own music, and means you’re constantly pausing the video. It’s also weird that this is the only thing this app offers, because you can basically get this on YouTube for free. I was hoping it would be like other fitness apps I’ve used, where each exercise within a routine is separated, with a video/animation and information there if you need it. It would also be nice if you could build your own workouts or do basically anything in the app besides watch lengthy 40 minute videos. I would have stayed if the app were 60% cheaper and had more modular exercise features—with, say, a 10-second video per exercise. Fortunately, there are a number of apps that offer basically the product I’m looking for. Good luck to the developers!

### 2/5 — Inaccessible due to cost

*2026-02-24, version 10.0.10*

I absolutely love the workouts offered on this app. The thoughtful emphasis on nervous system regulation was an especially welcome addition and fills a gap I have not seen addressed in many other fitness platforms. That said, the pricing is a significant drawback. At $55 per month, the subscription cost may make the app inaccessible to many individuals and reinforces the perception that high-quality fitness training is only attainable for those with substantial financial resources. If the pricing were more affordable, this would easily be a five-star app.

### 2/5 — Buggy app

*2026-01-14, version 10.0.9*

The workouts are good but the app is extremely buggy. For $60/month the owners need to invest in better software. We don’t care as much about features as we do about a functional application. It’s an issue when a 45 minute class takes an extra 10 minutes to account for app crashes, restarts, and jump ahead to get back to where you left off.

### 2/5 — Expensive for what it is

*2024-07-05, version 9.0.13*

Was very disappointed with this app. As a Canadian the app works out to over $100/month. For that price did not feel the app had enough value. You require a few sets of heavier dumbbells (they don’t specify what heavier is which makes it confusing before you start because you don’t know which exercises you will be using them for eg chest press or squats) a stool, chair, Pilates ball, exercise bands and a mat for most of the workouts. In addition you do need to have a clear/available space to exercise in your home. The app has meal recipes but not a full daily nutrition plan and all the workouts are videos like you would find on YouTube. There are much more affordable workout apps available that have full daily nutrition plans, animated workouts where you can follow along at your own pace and stack/modify your own weeks with notice in advance of the weights you need and for which exercises.

### 3/5 — A+ programming, C+ App

*2025-11-07, version 10.0.3*

Programming and workouts and content are all great. Price point of the subscription is high but not intolerable given the quality of programming. The app itself/technology is the limitation. Usable but not much to write home about. Synchronization with Apple health/watch, community forum/engagement (outside of comments on individual workouts), ability to update weights while watching the video (or set standard/frequently used weights for high/medium/low or suggest weights based on your history) and more specific guidance for integrating other activity would make this 5 star app. Also music is really inconsistent and I find myself adjusting the volume frequently to hear the instructions. Even with all that, would still recommend the programming, though I think they generally use and recommend weights that are too low for most people with any strength training history- saying “get to failure” is not quite as useful as guiding someone to get there.

### 3/5 — Dr Shannon is great, app and workouts not so much

*2025-07-18, version 9.0.25*

App is super buggy - crashes randomly and often. And I found the workouts to be quite clunky/awkward with things like a pillow against the dumbbells and unclear timing.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Obsessed!!!

*2026-08-13, version 11.1.3*

Did a free trial and it locked me in!!! I’m 18 months in now and couldn’t love it more. I’ve maxed out all my weights and had to buy new ones. I can work out at home with my kids. I could go on and on if you want to feel stronger this is the program for you

### 5/5 — Highly recommend

*2026-08-13, version 11.1.3*

I can’t recommend EVLO enough- I love the science based exercise. I’m feeling stronger and stronger each week, without burnout. 10 out of 10 recommend!

### 5/5 — Changed my entire workout mentality

*2026-08-12, version 11.1.3*

I learned so much from this program. I have seen so many results and don’t feel like I’m dying trying to keep up. Forever recommending EVLO to my friends and family.

### 5/5 — Have you got barriers to exercise like me?

*2026-08-08*

Wow! I can’t believe I love doing strength work! This program is wonderful. I was struggling with a chronic illness, fatigue, joint pain and also coming into perimenopause… and I thought I’d hate strength work! Nope! This program changed everything! It’s joint friendly, nervous system friendly, fatigue friendly, beginner friendly, and just plain ENJOYABLE! I love working out from the comfort of home. Their podcast explains all the science behind their programming. And the app is sensational. Worth every cent! I’m 63 strength sessions in and plan to keep going forever.

### 5/5 — Gentle consistency

*2026-08-08, version 11.1.3*

Finally, something I can stick with as a mom. Love the priority on resistance training/muscle building, but gentle enough to not dread doing my workouts.

### 5/5 — The most consistent I’ve ever been

*2026-08-06, version 11.1.2*

Evlo has truly changed my life and my approach to fitness. I’ve always been active, but since finding Evlo in pregnancy almost 2 years ago, I’ve never been stronger. I can’t recommend it enough.

### 5/5 — Strong AF

*2026-08-06, version 11.1.2*

Over the past 10 years, I have taken almost every strength training/fat burning program under the sun and have struggled SO HARD to see results. I started Evlo in January (after listening to Dr Shannon’s podcast for a few months), and I cant even put into words the strength gains I have seen- not only in my weights increasing but seeing changes in my actual muscles too! WHAT. It’s amazing what happens when you use a program run by people who actually know what they’re talking about. Love all you ladies at Evlo, thank you for helping me get my life back!

### 5/5 — Fantastic program that delivers results!

*2026-08-05, version 11.1.2*

Evlo is a fabulous program. The classes are easy to follow and are motivating and highly effective. I have definitely built muscle and feel stronger than I have felt in years. Evlo’s systematic and science-based approach works!

### 5/5 — No other fitness app talks about it

*2026-08-04, version 11.1.2*

There are a million people lifting weights on the internet. It wasn’t until Evlo that I ever heard anyone mention how essential it is to approach muscle failure in order to maintain and/or build muscle mass. Love this app.

### 5/5 — What fitness should be for women

*2026-08-04*

I love the app and their programming. It’s so efficient and it works the muscles but I don’t feel tired. Highly recommend.

Food is great but I’d love for them to add a function for tracking macros and meal planning etc.
