## What is evo social by Srimallya?

Here is a social network for them who like to own their data locally and don't like ads.

Create your page, post from your device, discover people, follow who matters to you, and keep direct messages limited to mutual follows. The app is designed to feel like a real social product first: feed in the center, profile and inbox close by, and posting only a gesture away.

What makes evo social different is where the social state lives. Your profile, posts, follows, reactions, and message history are stored on device as durable signed events. Nearby devices can sync over the local network, and distant delivery can widen through the app's mailbox relay path when available.

evo social is for people who want:
- a public feed without the usual heavy dashboard feel
- local-first identity and social history
- nearby device sync that happens through real transport
- direct messages gated by mutual follow
- profile pages, discovery, notifications, and posting in one focused flow

The product does not pretend to be a giant global network. It is intentionally smaller, more grounded, and more legible:
- your feed reflects the people and posts your device has actually learned about
- nearby sync can widen what you see without a central feed engine
- discovery stays lightweight instead of overwhelming the main timeline

If you want a social app that treats identity, sync, and presence differently from the usual server-first model, evo social is built for that.

More reliable mailbox wake and fallback sync for messages and feed updates.
Better profile/photo freshness across devices.
Improved follow-triggered feed hydration.
Cleaner handling of duplicate or stale local identities.
Safer image post handling to prevent legacy media collisions.
Hidden unavailable or deleted media from normal feed/profile surfaces.
Cleaner reply/quote context so standalone posts no longer show misleading unavailable-original labels.
Added server-side safeguards so unsafe legacy media objects are quarantined instead of relayed to updated clients.

### 1.4 — 2026-04-17

Version 1.4 makes conversations easier to read and improves notification reliability. Replies now show clearer context from the referenced post, so they feel more like part of an ongoing conversation instead of looking like quote posts. This update also improves notification permissions and mailbox wake behavior, making direct-message delivery and in-app alerts more reliable.

### 1.3 — 2026-04-12

Version 1.3 makes nearby sharing and sync more reliable, including better off-grid peer-to-peer sync when people are close by. It also improves account recovery after reinstall, cleans up discovery accuracy, keeps the feed more stable during use, and adds clearer follow/unfollow controls across the app.

### 1.2 — 2026-04-10

Public feed recommendations now learn on-device from your activity, quote posts are supported, feed actions are more consistent, notifications open the right post, fullscreen photos zoom properly, and local-store upgrade reliability has been improved.

### 1.1 — 2026-04-09

Version 1.1 includes bug fixes and usability improvements across notifications, posts, media viewing, and chat for a smoother experience.
