Please make sure you’re within range and using default credentials. Either the app doesn’t work or they sold me a used EVSE ### 1/5 — Charger Wifi Found but Failed to Connect *2023-01-17* Title says it all, dropped an extra $100 on the wifi Charger just for it to not connect. The app keeps going to a white screen and I cannot even add my charger much less do anything else. Good job you don’t need app to operate. ### 1/5 — App is useless *2025-09-18* I’ve had problems with my EvoCharge ever since it was installed. I have called and everything related to it has been blamed, but not the charger itself. I ended up using the Ford app to charge rather than the EvoCharge app because at least that worked. Now that has stopped working. I went back to the EvoCharge app and reinstalled it. Now nothing works at all. ### 1/5 — Temporary password *2025-09-18* The app produces a temporary password for registration, but then says it’s too short to use to login. ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work with commercial charging *2025-08-29* The app for the commercial charging says scan QR code or enter station id. There is no QR code to scan on any commercial charger and the station id number is 6 digits yet the app only allows you to enter 5 digits. Absolutely unusable. ### 1/5 — Pretty much useless! *2025-04-02* The app simply does not work: it has not registered recent charging events for over half a month. It says the charger cannot charge when it can. It does not indicate when the charger is charging. It sends incorrect messages that become annoying. What is the point? Update: company advised to turn off then on at the breaker. I did so. Now the charger starts to charge, and 5” later turns off. Nothing in the app helps correct this problem. I can ask it to start charging, need to remove and replace the charger in the car. Tell app to start charging. Unethical business practices charged $50.00 for 5 minute charge on a slow basic station.. ## Most praised reviews (4 highest-rated) ### 4/5 — Satisfied but app needs work *2025-09-16* I do really like it, and I really want to give a full 5 stars but it’s just not quite there yet. The charger works as advertised but the app needs some work. Initially I was very impressed with the app, but after 3 weeks of use I’ve found some kinks. 1) It lets you enter time of day rates for calculating cost. But it only lets you enter Peak time then it shows the rest of the day as Off Peak. It should let you enter multiple specific time ranges. My utility has 4, Peak, Off Peak, Mid Peak and EV Charge. I can get an accurate calculation for the rest of my day. 2) I have mine on a schedule and disabled the car’s schedule as recommended by EVO. It’s the same all week Monday - Sunday, 12am - 6am. But every Sunday it starts charging at 9pm. 3) The “Slide To Charge” switch does not always work. If I want to start charging early and slide the switch, it’s hit or miss. If I stop charging then slide the switch to start again I receive an error. 4) Last night it didn’t start at 12am as scheduled. Thankfully I woke up and checked the app to find the message “charging could not start”. The slide switch didn’t work. So I had to get out of bed at 2am just to unplug and replug for it to start charging. ### 3/5 — Won’t connect consistently *2024-09-30* This won’t connect through Wi-Fi, and I have cellular turned on, but it still won’t connect. When it did connect, it was useful. Not so much now. ### 3/5 — Disappointing *2024-01-30* The #1 reason I have to continually reboot my phone is that this app stops working. It's too bad because it's very functional when it is working. ### 2/5 — Missing essential information *2024-06-24* The number one thing I want front a charger is tell me how much battery I have left, and how long it estimates to get to 100%. Okay, that’s two things. But this app does neither. The EVO charger itself does work well, but the app is sorely lacking.
