Aplicación no funciona. *2022-12-14, version 2.1* Tan pronto uno conecta la bocina con el Ipad a través del Bluetooth sale un error. Rápidamente indica que se ha desconectado el mixer. En resumidas cuentas, la aplicación no funciona. Me gustaría que mejoraran el app para poder disfrutar de los featuring e innovaciones de la tecnología RCF. Sería buenisimo el poder utilizar la J8mix con el mixer a través de la aplicación. ### 1/5 — iOS 15 *2021-11-20, version 2.1* Can we get some kind of app update please .. it’s been too long .. ### 1/5 — Something must be wrong? *2019-11-10, version 2.0* As soon as I make a change in a channel and go to the inputs screen all of the channels faders return to zero even though the audio stays at the level I set. Mutes stay muted but the channel faders on both in’s and out’s return to their lowest level as soon as you navigate to any other page. In theory, this is an absolutely awesome idea. It’s practical use though leaves a bit to be desired. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Bluetooth doesn’t work correctly *2025-12-14, version 2.1* It is pointless having an iPad app where settings change when you move between pages. It’s unusable. For example, mute all inputs, go to another page, go back to the input page and some of the mutes have turned on. And the ones turning on are random each time. App version 2.1; firmware 1.67. Both up to date. Great speaker system, really good. But the remote app is appalling. ### 1/5 — Something seriously wrong with this app *2025-10-11, version 2.1* Bluetooth connection drops with a horrendous blast of sound even when the master volume is set very low. I’ve reset Bluetooth on the mixer and I’m using the latest version of iOS. ### 1/5 — Evox is awesome. App is terrible. *2025-04-08, version 2.1* Worst app for such a good mixer and speaker. Completely froze numerous times. Had to repeatedly apologies to clients for my “technical issues”. Totally ruined what should have been a great gig. I have zero confidence in this app. ### 1/5 — Totally useless *2024-06-15, version 2.1* Recently purchased these speakers and have been very very impressed with them using my external mixer. Tonight we had no option due to space restrictions but to use the internal one with the app. Holy mother of hell. Chaos is the only word. First of all the fx refused to switch on and off (stuck in the off), the channels five and six was only coming out of the left speaker, but the mic on channel one was coming out both. Random things changing all over the mixer. At the break I fully reset the system and low and behold the fx was now functional and the ch5+6 was now working out of both speakers. Two songs in and it randomly was fully dropping the fader on the mic or the music, then it would randomly go to full volume. Mutes on channels won’t engage. But the mother of all was that the eq on the main output suddenly decided to switch on and push the 2k to full gain. Feedback all over the place. I had to battle with this desk all night to just keep the sound stable. Even when not touching the app it was changing items randomly. The other issue was the constant loss of Bluetooth connection. It wasn’t the range as I had my iPhone clamped to the speaker pole above the mixer. I will never ever use the internal mixer again, and giving it no more than a month to hopefully see a fix for the issues. If not then the full lot is going back to the shop as not fit for purpose. RCF please contact me if you need info re firmware and app versions ( all the latest ones). Running off an iPhone 14 Pro Max with latest iOS etc on it. The app itself needs a full redesign anyway as the layout is abysmal. ### 1/5 — A mind of its own *2024-05-25, version 2.1* I’ve had the JMIx for almost 2 years. I gig on a regular basis and still get the fear of how it will behave itself. System has a habit of changing settings mid song from 0 to 11. You alter one setting and it changes everything. I honestly do not know what the issue is. All that said, when you do get the sound right (and it stays that way) it can sound really sweet. Maybe I need to update the software. ### 1/5 — App not updated for 3 years! *2024-02-25, version 2.1* Worked fine until IOS 17. Now random changes occur resulting in decreased channel output or ear piercing feedback! RCF needs to update this app NOW! This app has made my last 2 live gigs a nightmare! ### 1/5 — Too unstable to use *2024-02-18, version 2.1* This App is far too unstable to be used. It regularly changes settings relating to the input channels requiring constant checks and fault finding. It also shows a channel unmuted but no sound. A check of the physical mixer shows the channel still muted. I have checked my firmware and it is up to date. I won’t be using the App until the bugs are fixed which is a shame as part of the reason I bought the jmix8 was the remote mixing capability. ### 1/5 — Does not work. *2023-04-09, version 2.1* This could have been awesome, and it was for about a month. The Bluetooth stopped working and now the software is useless. There is no connectivity. The beauty about the app is having it next to me when gigging and not having to go back to the speaker to alter anything. If RCF wanted to better anything I’d say update the fx software on the speaker, with a few more vocal delays and verbs. Great app and works perfectly. ### 3/5 — Flakey. Why no updates? *2025-09-03, version 2.1* This app is a great idea but flaky at best. The iPad version certainly looks better than the android version even though there’s no legit reason for it. The android version seems to be more reliable, but will disconnect randomly. Why the Earth has been no updates in four years? ### 3/5 — Could be better *2024-06-10, version 2.1* I’m new to this app and was quite excited about using it. Bluetooth drops all the time and it’s not obvious when you have SAVED or LOADED settings. I would like to be able to name the inputs and also name the SAVES. If you have 10 presets how can you remember what each one is? I struggle to see the actual mixer hardware screen so I’m powering on with it but could be better. ### 3/5 — Issues with the app *2021-05-27, version 2.1* Connective is ‘ok’ although drops frequently but reconnects frequently. The main issue I am having is that the faders keep resetting to zero each time I exit and return to a setting page. The volume remains the same through the PA but the fader show zero, so you have no idea where you had it! As soon as you touch it you then have no volume unless you swipe it up again. Very annoying and a bit amateur. ### 2/5 — Problems. *2024-11-03, version 2.1* Unreliable & unusable through app for professional use. Desperately need sorting. No software updates! ### 2/5 — Used to be great? *2024-02-09, version 2.1* Never had an issue then all of a sudden I change anything on the app and it throws the gain to 30 or zero on other inputs which is hell on earth or sends it to 98L which sends the feedback through the roof! Loved these speakers but recently really struggling with them alongside the app! Going to get rid of the app and use the speakers as a PA on their own and do it all through that and hope that sorts it! ### 2/5 — FADER resets to zero on INPUTS & OUTPUTS *2023-08-02, version 2.1* Every time I set the INPUTS fader and then set OUTPUT fader, when I return to the INPUT fader it slides back to zero and likewise with OUTPUT. The volume remains until you press the fader and the volume goes back to zero. Please fix ### 2/5 — Very buggy and not amazing *2022-02-11, version 2.1* I like a lot on the app but it would be very easy to make it a great app. A better eq range on individual channels would help especially if they were parametric like on the out puts. Loses connection to Bluetooth regularly.
