I’m using an 8yr old walkie talkie style monitor that someone gave me bc I can’t rely on this. ### 1/5 — Crashes a lot *2019-03-07, version 2.0.99* I open this app every night before bed and would wake to my daughter crying but not through the app. It crashes and closes and so is pretty much worthless to me because it’s not reliable for nights. ### 1/5 — The Worst! *2019-02-05, version 2.0.99* The app is constantly freezing and the monitor continuously disconnects. Even fully connected to WiFi, the range is terrible and this monitor is completely unreliable. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2018-09-12* The camera itself works great but more often than not, I can’t connect to the camera from the app. I thought a firmware update would improve things but the connectivity is actually worse. It’s ridiculously flaky and more than half the time throws a vague error that literally just says “ERROR.” No explanation of the cause or how to resolve it. I’m so frustrated because I have now reached out to support 3 times and gotten no reply. I’ll be getting a new monitor this weekend and finally putting this one behind me. **Developer response:** Hi, I see this review is from version 2.0.79. We're now on 2.0.99, and firmware 0.1.262. Can you let me know if this has improved the connectivity issues you were seeing? ### 1/5 — Constant Connectivity Issues *2018-09-09* Constant issues connecting from the first day. Takes several minutes to connect and now doesn’t connect at all. Customer service is only through email and they don’t understand the necessity of a working baby monitor. They promise to get back within a set time and constantly miss their own deadlines. Avoid this app and hardware if you can. ### 1/5 — Monitor depends on app and app is TERRIBLE! *2018-08-26, version 2.0.66* Cuts out frequently. Just got booted off and cannot sign back in or email tech support. Waste of money for the camera if the app doesn’t work! ### 1/5 — Needs major improvement *2018-04-19* Love the camera itself but this app is terrible. Closes out over and over again on its own without warning. You have to keep reopening it at least 15-20 times a day, which is just ridiculous. I’ve ended up just using my old monitor a lot as I don’t trust this one to stay open when I’m sleeping at night. If they could get the app right then this would be a great system. ### 1/5 — Evoz review *2016-12-26* Evoz is an excellent way to view our granddaughter-- when it works. Too often, however, the image is lost while buffering or is drops completely with an error message. Time and again we delete the software and reinstall in order to regain the capability. Can't even sign up an account. After entered my email, password, confirm password and my name, it doesn't show any button to continue or submit. It happened on both my iPad and the iPhone! I am getting a new monitor because I can't make this one work. But first the Pros: The nightlight works well. Photos and video recording work as expected. Now the Cons: At first they responded a few times, now there's no response from Support, even after multiple emails. Sorry guys, you leave me no option but to write to you somewhere where I know you'll get the message loud and clear The defaults are not sensible. I want to MONITOR my child for cryin out loud, WHY in the world would you shut off the video feed after a few minutes?! And shortly thereafter, without fail, the audio feed shuts off. Why!? At least allow me to change these settings. The microphone to talk back to my baby girl did not work from day one. At first sounded like Darth Vader, now it emits nothing but static and noises that scare her. Sometimes the video feed freezes, other time both audio and video freeze. Other times nothing starts up. If I had a nickel every time I had to restart the app... Shall I continue? Memory management is horrible for this app. Not sure what exactly you guys are logging, but for this app to bloat from 90mb to half a gig over the course of a few days... Not cool. The lullabies are halfway decent, melody-wise, but the shrill sound isn't calming at all. The temperature light at the top? Way too bright. I've got two band aids covering it up. The glowing blue LED light under the camera? Kept the baby glued to the monitor the second she saw it. Two more band aids! Haven't you guys done any research on blue LEDs and its impact on sleep? I really did not want to leave a bad review and gave you guys 7 months to push out updates... Enough already! Such a good idea, such good marketing, but such poor execution! ### 1/5 — Not reliable enough for monitoring *2016-01-07* Half the time I don't get audio so I have to kill the app and relaunch. Video freezes after I tap the prompt to keep watching. My husband tried setting it up on his phone and he ran into the same issue. We got this baby monitor as a gift and it’s an absolute waste of time. Anyone who purchases this camera is a fool and I will review anywhere and everywhere I can to ensure no one else purchases this camera. ### 1/5 — Finally giving up on this terrible product *2020-02-25* I stuck with this monitor for over a year because I didn’t want to admit defeat - that I had paid $250 for a nearly worthless product. First, the app crashes after no more than a few hours, so I had to buy another audio monitor to ensure that I could hear my baby in the night. (I’d hear him on the audio monitor and then re-open the crashed Evoz app to look at him.) But then the app changed to where you can’t mute it. So if I want to let the baby cry for a bit I’m the night while watching him, either I have to get up and leave the bedroom or my husband has to listen to the crying as well. When it first happened customer service sent me a beta app that solved the problem, but then the beta app expired and they still hadn’t fixed the bug on the App Store version. After writing back and forth with customer service four or five times, they finally just stopped writing me back. Defeated, I bought a new monitor today and will be happy to throw this one away. And the app crashes and needs to re-downloaded daily therefore this device doesn’t allow me to safely monitor my child. I also really love that I can take images and video right within the app. We’ve captured some cute moments. Video quality is good, and it seems the bugs with the app have been resolved (does not crash very often anymore). My favorite is that the audio will run even if the app is not active on your screen, so it doesn’t drain your battery as much and you can use other apps while still listening in. The new design is sleek and blends in well in our child’s room. ### 4/5 — Extremely Convenient *2015-10-28* I purchased this camera while it was in pre-order, and I've loved it ever since I've gotten it. One thing I've noticed recently is when I connect to the camera, the app freezes up and I have to restart it. It usually works fine after that. One update I would LOVE to see would be the new force touch incorporated into this app. Maybe have it so when you hard press the app icon, you could choose to start and stop the music, go strait into video, play just audio, and maybe some other options. Those are just the ones I use most often. Beyond that, again, I'm loving this app and camera. It really is one of the best ones I've had... And I've purchased several.
